Paid my bill off and canceled the card. But still getting fees even after I called many times complaining. I finally filed a claim with federal to dispute and to force this company to cancel my good *** card. Scam for sure and if I have to get a consumer lawyer I will. What company refused to let you cancel your card and then charge you fees!?! Scam be aware and don't do business with these criminals

My overall experience with Comenity Bank is a minus ten. I had sent a check to Comenity Bank to pay my J **** bill a month early. Two weeks later, it had not been cashed, i called, it wasn't received. I sent a second check, I called the day before it was due, 2/27/25, it had not arrived, I paid online to avoid being delinquent. At my bank, I stopped payment on the FIRST check. Unfortunately, my bank stopped payment on the second check and Comenity charged me $25 for a returned check. They told me I could have my $25 returned if my bank wrote a letter explaining their error. My bank sent two letters, two weeks apart, one of which was received. Comenity then accused me of being reimbursed the $25 by my bank. I WAS NOT reimbursed and called my bank to verify the fact, in case I had missed it. They HAD NOT reimbursed me. Comenity sticks by their guns and won't return the money. I found them to be a corporate bully; basically they treated me as a cheating dead beat, having never investigated my previous payment history with them, which was over 10 years and obviously had not verified that my credit score always hovers around 830 points. I'd like anyone intending to do credit card business with them to pursue the experience as if entering a viper's nest. They are underhanded, manipulative and greedy.

Lure you with high rates but make it impossible to access your money. ******** acct if you make withdrawals. Send emails (I'm overseas) which they don't even read. Received only form letters to call them. INVEST MONEY ELSEWHERE. Aggravation not worth it!

Poor communication along with their additional fees that are a direct result in their poor communication and making sure people understand the whats, whys, and hows. Then customer service or really anyone that you talk to on the phone wont have an answer for you, but can you blame them? Its just their job to say Im sorry and Ill set you up for 2 additional payments because that solves the issue of them not communicating. If youre thinking about getting this card, just dont. Get an actual reputable credit card not these guys, Ive been paying the minimum payment for over a year, and my balance has gone up, not down. And when I asked why, they said oh yeah the minimum payment doesnt cover the interest, or it only covers the interest and doesnt go towards the principal, I dont remember which. Both answer are goofy and everyone should cancel their academy card at the same time. I use my capital one card, which has a credit limit substantially higher than Comenity and their minimum payment is half, and it goes towards something. Comenity has 0 excuses, other than being greedy.

"BREAD FINANCIAL" is a complete SCAM. Comenity partnerships and Bread Financials work ethics are terrible. They do not clearly communicate their terms, they do not send official reminders, they do not honor their grace ******** When you discuss a matter of concern, they hang up on you. They completely mislead you on intentions and policy's of their company. They scammed me of $364.96. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. Keep in mind I went through my concerns with my upmost respect and patience until I spoke to every supervisor possible. I have never missed a payment in my life on anything and I have a near 800 credit score. I have worked with multiple card companies and banks. This is NOT a company or avenue you want to put your trust in. They will not resolve any issues, even if it's on their end of fault and responsibility. STAY AWAY FROM BREAD FINANCIAL AND COMENITY BANK.

Paying the minimum payments every month, my balance should be $500 left but the actual balance is now $1900 and we are unable to use our medical account to pay since the debt was bought by an overseas company and the **** medical account wont do business with them. They have essentially extorted us out of $1400 by continuing to charge interest monthly that was already paid. Dont use the this service!

I got suckered into their promotional offer of paying it off in 12 months with no interest on the 366 day they put all theinterest on the account and it doubled the balance. Ive been trying to keep up with it making double payments and the interest rates just kill **** took the money I owed out of savings and paid them off. I suggest anybody dealing with this Bank do the same thing and close youraccounts with whoever you have credit cards that are issued by this bank. This bank is a rip off. They dont care about the customers.

This is the worst bank in the history of banking! I opened a **** credit card through this bank, and they only hire the most incompetent, lazy, good for nothing, completely useless people that God ever put on this earth. I am not kidding; they couldnt be any worse if they were paid to try! They are completely useless to ANY question you ask them, as if they dont like their job. You know how when you open a credit card and try to close it the bank makes it hard to do that, well not at this bank. They are so completely ignorant, lazy and brainless, they just say ok. They have no clue how a financial institution should operate. I dont either, but I know more than these people. I called them and got nowhere. I have sent messages through their crippled website, and no one ever responds. I have sent instant messages, and no one responds. Whats worse than a bank that never responds to customers and if you are lucky enough to get them on the phone, they care nothing about anything you ask or know nothing. I literally cannot express enough how truly dumb these people are, its almost impossible a person can be this dumb. Im still amazed when I think about it. I am shocked they are still in business. Do NOT open a **** ** with this bank!
