Value City in ******* is the absolute worst furniture store in Mi I spent thousands of dollars of furniture with them and they have consistently delayed my furniture 5 times . The store Manager ***** laughed at me while I was trying to explain my situation . Totally unprofessional and doesnt know how to talk to people that keeps his bills paid and food in his fridge. Not sure how a business schedules a delivery without payment, but they did. A salesman, Will, at this location has called me non-stop about a purchase of a new couch when I was undecided. I guess he took matters into his own hands, and attempted to charge me for the couch without my knowledge or consent, with my profile information. I almost thought I was being scammed- I guess I probably would've been had I confirmed my payment information. Movers were scheduled to be enroute. I think not! They are greedy for sales and may even be private because no other Value City looks this way or operates like this. Would definitely suggest everyone stay away! Ordered over $7K of furniture from the Canton store last month (June 2024). Upon delivery the bedroom furniture did not fit in our home. We were never informed prior to or during our purchase this bedroom set has not been sold because other customers were unable to get it into their home. In addition to that they make customers sign a paper that advises a 15% restock fee if you return the furniture. If its not your fault or they intentionally fail to be honest with you, you as a consumer pay for their own mistakes. They try to make a buck off of you one way or another. Although we did not receive the furniture we found out today they did not remove the bedroom set from our bill until 7/16/24.I would suggest everyone filling a complaint through the BBB should also file with Ohio AG's office about VCF. Received bedroom set that you can clearly see the damage of bad paint job, and staple gun dents in furniture.they refused to send me out another one and refused to give me some kind of discount on defective bedroom set staff was called right away and claim they would handle it but because I refused a 100 dollar offer they decided that they couldnt do anything ,unbelievable the service i received just so disappointed in the way they treated me.Value City Furniture, Inc. I ordered on 7/2 and was told 3 different dates for pick up Im very dissatisfied with this store and will never order from them again. Now I have to wait till 8/8 to get my items. Very very disappointing after I was told the original date of 7/13 was never informed of anything just back order on sofa. Never seen such a place with horrible customer service not giving correct details on purchasing. First and last experience with this store.Value City Furniture, Inc. Response

DO NOT ORDER ANY FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY. Six months after ordering a bed that cost me 2000 dollars, the bed frame broke. Since the bed was discontinued, customer service cannot order the item and cannot fix it either. They scheduled a technician to come fix the bed, but he never showed up and never apologized. My solution was to buy another bed there and get a $100 discount. The furniture quality is terrible and the customer service is terrible. Maybe consider buying Ikea furniture, which is the same quality but does not call itself a designer furniture store.Value City Furniture, Inc. Response

I ordered 2 couches from Value City and both couches were defective and the quality of the fabric was terrible as well and they still charged me a restocking fee and on top of that, I had to pay more money to pay for better quality couches that I was happy with. I'm extremely disappointed and have lost quite a bit of money on this transaction. I would have thought there would be a little more loyalty to me as a customer due to the fact that I've purchased furniture from them many times in the past. I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience with your delivery services, specifically regarding the delivery of the Pearson dining table and stools that I recently purchased. Due to an unforeseen issue with my pickup turning into a delivery, I had the pleasure of meeting Innoncy, your delivery representative. DON’T ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION. I placed an order for furniture in March of this year. I was told it could take up to two months to deliver, which was fine because I wasn’t moving in until June anyway. We scheduled the delivery date for June 26 (today) and I never heard from the drivers or company. I called and asked if there was an expected time frame for delivery and I was told my order was pushed back until July and couldn’t be delivered. No one had called me in advance of me waiting all day for delivery they knew wasn’t coming. The delivery company I was patched to said the local manager, Tish, was the one who changed my delivery date and that she and the store were supposed to let me know. When I went to cancel my purchase, Tish blamed the delivery company and said they were supposed to contact me, but that she also was supposed to have called the day before to confirm and didn’t. I was also informed that one of the items wasn’t even available until September… despite me ordering it in MARCH and being told it would be held a few months. Point being, this store lacks the level of professionalism and organization you will want in a furniture company. Paying $3000 for furniture is not a small purchase and they just simply did not care what happened as long as they got their money. Customer service is obviously nonexistent (except for Matilda on the phone who was lovely).Value City Furniture, Inc. Response
