      I'd leave a zero stars if itwas possible. We've left a review on Yelp as well.We live in ***** and were in the process of buying a vehicle. We had negotiated and settled on a price. We had documents sent to us to sign, which we signed and sent back via DocuSign. We scheduled the wire transfer and sent confirmation that the wire transfer was being processed, which takes 1-2 days. We purchased a one-way ticket and reserved a hotel room to fly up there and finalize the purchase. We communicated with the dealership about our travel plans. We sent them pictures of our flight details and the hotel we had reserved. We even coordinated with them for a pick-up from the hotel, which is about ***** minutes from the dealership. This was all done between a Friday and Saturday. You can imagine our disgust when Monday morning we got a text message from them that they had sold the vehicle the day before - Sunday. This dealership's ethics are concerning, as they clearly put profits before people. Stay clear.

      I looked through the notes *** Days and there were negotiations going on up until the vehicle was sold locally. We do not hold vehicles specifically for this reason. It's not fair to other people if we hold vehicles for weeks at a time. Furthermore, I'm sure there is a good deal on a Jeep Compass somewhere between ******** and *****. If we have payment and a signed purchase agreement, we will hold a vehicle, otherwise we will not. That has always been our policy and we do not intend on changing it. I'm sorry that you feel this is a dishonest practice but you understand that we told you this from the very first day. Best of luck. -****** ****** (General Manager)

      Took truck in for diagnostic / repair. Service writer intentionally withheld recall information trying to charge for repair. Considered trading truck in (unusual traveling issues) for newer similar model but decided against when service writer increased costs of repairs quoted to sales in order to decrease trade in value. When asked why he didnt notify me of recall, his response was I didnt ask. Then told part (common DEF injector) was 1 week out. *** definitely has parts supply issues. Extremely unethical and possibly illegal (failure to notify / service recall) service. Attempted to speak with service manager who would not allow me to ask questions. Beware!

      As I had mentioned in other review sites the advisor did not check recalls as he is trained to do and that is very frustrating for management and he has been spoken to.  After researching there was no malintent from any employees at Bob Caldwell.  There were no charges to the customer.  -****** ****** (General Manager)

      The sales manager has no ethics advising a vehicle recall I should resolve if I buy the car and he admitted the dealership could remedy as a minor issue like potential for car catching fire!! Also contract included tax which is not correct as out of state purchase and told me extended warranty $300 and contract showed over $3000.

      I'm sorry Mr. ********** that our team fell short of your expectations. We do recalls on our inventory daily so if there was a vehicle that we received or recent active recall on one of our inventory vehicles it's because it either just came out or because the parts are not readily available. In regards to taxes, very easy fix and apologize if the taxes were not stated correctly. We do not sell a service contract for any vehicle that would be $300 so I can only say this was a miscommunication. Again, sorry that you were unhappy with communication and/ or the state of the vehicle and wish you the best of luck on your vehicle search. -****** ****** (General Manager)
