    Took truck in for diagnostic / repair. Service writer intentionally withheld recall information trying to charge for repair. Considered trading truck in (unusual traveling issues) for newer similar model but decided against when service writer increased costs of repairs quoted to sales in order to decrease trade in value. When asked why he didnt notify me of recall, his response was I didnt ask. Then told part (common DEF injector) was 1 week out. *** definitely has parts supply issues. Extremely unethical and possibly illegal (failure to notify / service recall) service. Attempted to speak with service manager who would not allow me to ask questions. Beware!

    As I had mentioned in other review sites the advisor did not check recalls as he is trained to do and that is very frustrating for management and he has been spoken to.  After researching there was no malintent from any employees at Bob Caldwell.  There were no charges to the customer.  -****** ****** (General Manager)

    The sales manager has no ethics advising a vehicle recall I should resolve if I buy the car and he admitted the dealership could remedy as a minor issue like potential for car catching fire!! Also contract included tax which is not correct as out of state purchase and told me extended warranty $300 and contract showed over $3000.

    I'm sorry Mr. ********** that our team fell short of your expectations. We do recalls on our inventory daily so if there was a vehicle that we received or recent active recall on one of our inventory vehicles it's because it either just came out or because the parts are not readily available. In regards to taxes, very easy fix and apologize if the taxes were not stated correctly. We do not sell a service contract for any vehicle that would be $300 so I can only say this was a miscommunication. Again, sorry that you were unhappy with communication and/ or the state of the vehicle and wish you the best of luck on your vehicle search. -****** ****** (General Manager)

    I recently had a very disappointing experience at Bob Caldwell Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. Their communication is terrible, making it extremely difficult to get clear information about the vehicles I was interested in. Every question seemed like a burden to them. On top of that, they employ deceitful sales tactics. I was told there was no wiggle room on the price of a car I was interested in, only to see the price drop online an hour after I walked away. This kind of behavior is dishonest and unacceptable. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a straightforward and honest car buying experience.

    This shop does not treat young women fairly.After purchasing my vehicle with this dealership,I have had nothing but problems.After a few months I noticed a coolant leak.When they examined the vehicle,they determined that the head gasket and water pump needed to be replaced.They also replaced the ignition coil & changed the oil.This work took over a month to complete - during this time,I was borrowing vehicles to get back and forth to work, used my warranty for a loaner vehicle and the dealership covered additional time as the work took some time. It took constant badgering and calling to get updates on my vehicle.After finally getting a manager involved,I was informed that the tech who had been working on my vehicle kept calling off and no one else was working on my car in his absence.A few months later, I noticed oil under my car. I took the car to valvoline for an oil change. After a few months, I saw that i was still leaking oil and took the car back to the dealership.The dealership accused me of not getting regular oil changes and suggested that Valvoline didn't change the oil filter when they changed the oil. They did another oil change.Just a few weeks later, the oil pressure light came on.I went to a local mechanic shop that has worked on my previous vehicles.The local shop found that the ignition coil was being held together with a zip tie,that the oil leak was coming from a sensor and said the water pump is not working as it should.I reached back out to the dealership.I called multiple times over several days and never received a call back.I finally just went in and asked for a manager.The only one available was the sales manager who couldn't really do anything but listen.I did get a call after that,at which time the manager wouldn't let me speak without interrupting me,he was quick to dismiss any complaint I had and seemed ready to blame anyone but his own shop. He informed me that none of the techs who worked with my vehicle still work for the dealership.

    Heavily confused as both Service manager and general manager (myself ) had spoken to you multiple times in the last few days and offered to look at your vehicle for free despite being out of repair, manufacture, and service contract coverage. Just so we are on the same page, this vehicle was sold February 2022 and last serviced April of 2023 and more 15,000 miles ago. The area of the vehicle in which you mentioned a zip tie was not a product of Caldwell nor an area that we had worked on.     In today's automobile dealership climate, it is difficult to find both honesty and integrity when purchasing a vehicle. Bob Caldwell has proved to be an exception. I was so impressed by a sales climate that was not pushy; rather, it appears that the goal is truly promoting a positive customer experience. If honesty and integrity are important attributes in where you choose to spend your valuable money and time, I recommend that you place Bob Caldwell high on your list. Moreover, **** Shepherd was the sales associate who helped me with my purchase. **** was the consummate professional, who never made me feel pressured or just another number in the hopper.
