      Contractor gave me a qoute. I approved quote. Then realized the was services missing so had them requote job. I didn’t like the additional pricing to adjusted quote so I call to discuss on Wednesday Nov. 24th. no one replied. On Mon. 29th I texted salesperson to cancel quote because no one replied to my voicemail to discuss new pricing on additional services and cost. Then they tell me I can’t cancel because they have a 25% cancellation fee if I do. I told them I wasn’t paying for excessive cost on adjusted quote and I never approved anything after additional services and pricing were added on. So I called the owner and he was not professional in any manner whatsoever. He told me I will pay his cancellation fee or he’ll put a lien on my house. He is very unprofessional and just difficult. I told him I wanted his business but after a long argument about how he was treating a new customer I hung up the phone. He invoiced me 3 days later for a $1000.00 cancellation fee. I have contacted a attorney. Just wanted to get some tree work done and these guys have no sense of customer service.

      Pay the cancellation fee and we will apply this to services otherwise our original agreement still stands. Don’t ask for work to be done, agree to a contract THEN ask for additional pricing on stump grinding. You didn’t like the stump grinding price on other stumps which was AFTER you agreed to the original contract. That doesn’t mean you get to cancel the entire without the cancellation.

      I am rejecting this response because: 

      I agreed to contract on Nov. 18th, then asked to update quote with new services and price. New Quote was sent to me with services and pricing in which I tried to contact sales rep and discuss. Didn’t like new pricing on quote! Texted, Called and left voicemail, but no reply for 5 days. Cancellation  due to no response on new pricing that was never agreed upon with sales rep. Tried to call owner to discuss issue and resolve issue but received nothing but unprofessional business practices and poor customer service. This contract was changed after the original and never approved for service or price. Could have been a easy resolution and business transaction but unprofessionalism is to much for me to trust them servicing my property.

      On 08/26. I signed a contract with Certified Tree Experts on tree trimming and immediately realized the contract didn’t include the $300 discount that was originally part of the estimate. I called the office then to cancel the contract and got their confirmation on the cancellation. I texted back the estimator that the contract was canceled. Despite the cancellation, they sent me an invoice for $300.54 in Sep. for the mobilized crew. I had no further communication with them after the cancellation of work and called Certified Tree Experts about the invoice. After a very unpleasant 11-minute conversation I was finally told very rudely the charges will be totally written off. I received a 2nd notice for payment on 10/8. I shouldn’t be paying for their failure to cancel the order properly on their side. I no longer trust them and see from past complaints this seems to be a standard practice with them. I have the history of text messages and calls. Please help to get the charges removed.

      This customer is no longer in our system as he already mentioned that our company agreed not to charge him the cancellation because he did not understand that the promotional 300 discount was not valid any longer. This was already resolved with him.

      Based on the response from the Business, I understand there won't be any further communication or charges from them. I agree with this resolution. Thank you for remediating the case with Business.

      ON OCTOBER 28, 2020 CERTIFIED TREE EXPERTS SHOWED UP WEEKS LATE TO REMOVE A VERY TALL TREE NEAR MY STREET AND MY DRIVEWAY. FOOLISHLY I SAID OKAY AND THEY PROCEEDED TO REMOVE A 20+ FOOT TALL TREE BRANCH THAT WAS GROWING STRAIGHT UP FROM THE TREE TRUNK. THEIR EMPLOYEE FELL THE BRANCH OVER MY DRIVEWAY CRACKING ONE SQUARE SLAB IN SEVERAL PLACES. I COULD NOT SEE THIS AT THE TIME BECAUSE THE WET LEAVES COVERED MY DRIVEWAY. DAYS LATER WHEN CLEARING THE LEAVES I NOTICED THE CRACKS. I CALLED AND LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES WITH A MESSAGE TAKER BUT NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. TODAY I CALLED THEM AGAIN AND THEY RETURNED THE CALL SAYING HARD SCAPE DAMAGED IS NOT COVDERED AND BASICALLY LAUGHED AT MY REQUEST FOR THEM TO REPAIR THE BROKEN CONCRETE. THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT AND SAFE WAY TO REMOVE LARGE TALL BRANCHES OF THE TREE. THIS IS WAS FIRST TIME HIRING A TREE COMPANY AND I MADE MANY MISTAKES. I HOPE THIS WILL HELP GET THIS COMPANY OUT OF OHIO.

      This job was completed over a year ago. As per signed contract (see attached) with the customer we are not responsible for any hardscape or broken pavement that may happen during the course of our work. This is standard with the majority of tree care companies all over the United States and all local tree care companies in the central Ohio region.
