      Called to have a technician come out to repair a rock chip in windshield. Technician came out and said due to location and size, it would not be repairable (started to crack). I asked about a refund for the work, since I was charged for materials, labor etc. which was not done. Was told that they do not refund, but that the amount would be put towards bringing the vehicle into a shop. Quote from the shop was four times higher than other locations. Speaking to a manager got me nowhere, and was told that the price is regardless of if the work was done or not. I would not recommend this company for any service. How can you charge someone for work that was not done?

      Set up an appt for a tech from the Westbury, ** facility to come to my home to replace my windshield. In the afternoon, I called to check where the tech was and was told I was next. I didnt hear from the tech until 6:30pm, an hour after the close of the window period. I was heading out, so had to reschedule. I rescheduled for today and they no showed again. I called and spoke to a Manager, ****, who refused to get me on the schedule for the next day. She didnt care at all and said I had to wait until the next week. After some back and forth, she then hung up on me. It was totally unacceptable. I will never use this company again. I called back to speak with her supervisor and have yet to get a call back.

      Ive had my windshield replaced in the past at this Safelite and even had issues with the installation, which they promptly addressed. One involved replacing the window trim/clip that was broken during installation and the other issue was around air leaks from incorrectly installed rubber trim at the top of the windshield. I recently brought my vehicle in after waiting 3 months for an opening to repair a small freckle sized surface chip. I was told the chip may still be visible, but it would be structurally sound upon repair. As I drive home, I noticed that not only was the original chip much larger after the repair, but multiple cracks had formed and started growing out from it. I called and was put on hold, but was eventually told that a manager would return my call. That call never came and so I had to drive back to the location again to try in person. I was then told that every manager and lead tech were busy and that I could wait, but there is no guarantee on when they could get to me. Someone finally became available and gave me 3 options. (1) Accept the fact that the chip is larger and now also has cracks, but know that its still structurally sound. (2) Apply what youve already paid towards a new windshield with Safelite if unsatisfied. (3) Get a full refund, but dont do further business with us in the future. It was an easy choice to go with number 3 given my options, but its unfortunate that this is how they deal with issues stemming from negligence. I am now waiting on my refund and will eventually have to replace my windshield in full since theyve clearly made the problem worse, but it just cant be at a Safelite and I dont think I want it to be either.

      The company charged me twice for the work they did. They were not helpful in reversing the unauthorized amount stating that they cannot see two charges. I even had someone from the corporate office hang up on me when I made a statement that I was going to write a review about my experience. Safelite representatives suggested that I wait until next week to see if both amounts clear my account. In the mean time I do not have access to over $700 while I "wait a week" to see if both charges go through as they placed 2 hold on my account. I had to go to my bank and cancel my ATM card as obviously my card was compromised with their company. The office staff in the *********, ** and *******, ** locations were rude, inconsiderate, and not helpful at all. Very disappointing that a ****************** doesn't have anyone available to deal with such emergencies. Would not recommend and definitely will not use them again.

      Hello All, When you book with this company make sure that your booked and make them send you an email to confirm. If you go through your insurance make them send your confirmation. ********************************* failed to fill the clam.(Simple just press enter) Alexus tried to help but it was obvious that her hands were tied in this situation. Manager at the shop ******* had to acknowledge their fault but after they hiked up the price then tried to give me a $100.00 discount. This company dropped the ball simple that, a company that can't transfer information is not a company that you want to use in an emergency.

      This company is a total rip off. After they did the work and collected $153 and nothing was different from before they claim their work is not for aesthetics and they only seal the problem but the ding remains visible. However the first time I used them for another vehicle the ding was removed completely & no longer visible so now they collect your money, do nothing, and claim I told you it wouldnt look better. I wouldve felt better if I threw the money out the car window. People need to know to stay away from this company.

      You cannot trust these people. They'll replace a windshield improperly and it will lead to your vehicle flooding non stop. Then they'll ridicule you and put the blame on you when you have to completely give up your car and buy a new one, sending you into financial ruin. Easily one of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. Do. Not. Use. Them.

      Very unprofessional and did not honor my warranty when I had issues with my windshield the very next day. Did a poor job and wouldnt own up to fix the problem

      I used to park my ****** Forester outdoors for the first year that I owned it. Because of this and where I live, the windshield became pitted and needed to be replaced. I had a replacement done by Safelite through Geico in March but the car was being stored indoors at our new home. I also typically use it to drive to work and back. TWO months after replacement and the amount of pitting is VERY noticeable, especially when driving towards sunlight or oncoming traffic. This company is using inferior glass and refuses to address my issue. How does a new windshield become damaged that much faster than the one it replaced? Now Im stuck with a bad windshield with no help from Geico or Safelite.

      Gave me a quote then multiple days later told me it was going to be an extra thousand dollars because they had to use a certain parts for my vehicle. How could you not have told me that when I got the quote? You asked for my make, model, and year at the time of the quote.
