  ON MAY 3, 2024- OUR AIR CONDITIONER WAS WORKING AND HAD SOME FEELING OF COOL BEFORE JEFF'S AUTO REPAIR WORKED ON IT. THAT DAY..THE REPAIR SHOP CHARGED $224.54 THEIR WORK AND CHARGES MADE OUR AIR CONDITIONER TOTALLY STOP HAVING ANY TRACE OF COOL AIR- ONLY HEATER AIR..THEIR COST FOR EVACUATION AND RECHARGE COST $114.00....THEY PUT R134A AIR CONDITIONER REFRIGERANT FOR $53.98. - THEN PUT A/C DYE (ACD) FOR $9.99 TO TRY TO FIND THE LEAK. HE COULD NOT FIND THE LEAK. SO HE REPLACED A HIGH SIDE AIR CONDITIONER FITTING VALVE IN CASE THAT MAY HELP.-LABOR WAS $34.20. THE HIGH SIDE VALVE PART 59946 COST 9.99. NOW OUR AIR CONDITIONER IS NOW DESTROYED AND IS 100 PERCENT VERY HOT LIKE A HEATER .MOST PLACES HAVE GOOD DIAGNOSTICS THAT CAN FIND THE PROBLEM BEFORE STARTING WORK.. BEFORE THE REPAIR WAS SOME A/C OKAY COOL AIR..NOW THE AIR CONDITIONER HAS ONLY HORRIBLY HOT AIR NO MATTER WHAT..LAST YEAR, 6/21/23 WE HAD THE A/C RECHARGED BY JEFF'S AUTO REPAIR, TO MAKE IT COOLER.., AT FIRST, LAST YEAR, JEFF'S AUTO REPAIR,THOUGHT THE CAR'S BODY DAMAGE MAY HAVE MADE THE AIR CONDITIONER TO NOT WORK WELL, BUT THAT WAS NONE OF THE PROBLEM.LAST YEAR.JEFF'S AUTO FIXED THE AIR CONDITIONER BY PUTTING IN A/C REFRIGERANT.THEY ALSO PUT DYE IN , IN CASE THERE WAS A LEAK WHICH THERE WAS NOT..THE BODY DAMAGE WAS NO PART OF THE A/C PROBLEM, PUTTING A/C REFRIGERANT FIXED THE PROBLEM, LAST YEAR 6/21/23..THIS YEAR, ON MAY 3, 2024, OUR AIR CONDITIONER HAD COOL AIR BEFORE JEFF'S AUTO REPAIR WORKED ON OUR AIR CONDITIONER. WE JUST HOPED TO MAKE IT COOLER.AFTER HE WORKED ON THE CAR, OUR AIR CONDITIONER IS NOW LIKE A TOTAL HEATER-VERY VERY HOT WITH NOT A TRACE OF COOL OR BREEZE..WE PAID $224.54 TO HAVE OUR AIR CONDITIONER NOW DESTROYED..WE ARE RETIRED AND HAVE HEALTH PROBLEMS THAT NEED AIR CONDITIONING. I WOULD LIKE A REFUND FOR HAVING THE CAR AIR CONDITIONER RUINED..ESPECIALLY SINCE WE NEED AIR CONDTIONING..WE ARE RETIRED AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD UP FRONT IF THEY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT.

  We charged the A/C and added dye to the car on 6-21-2023 and the customer paid $154.68. We asked G**** to bring the car back if the A/C stopped working well so we could check for a leak. When it was brought back on 5-3-2024 it was out of refrigerant. We pulled a vacuum on the system and charged it and added dye. We found the high pressure valve leaking. We evacuated it and charged it again and the A/C was blowing cold at that time. We let G**** know that if it stopped working well to bring it back and we would check for another leak. We got a call from an individual about the car and she said it was blowing warm air now. We offered to look at it for no charge and see what was going on, but she refused to bring it back unless we assured her that any repair it needed would be performed for free. The car is a 1999 ***** *******.

  Dear BBB, This is G**** S******-complaint submitted 6/19/24..I have no smart phone and no printer.  My once somewhat cool air conditioner was broken after expensive work at Jeff's auto repair.     Before the repair the air condditioner had ok cool air- I just hoped to have it cooler...The second time the car was turned on, after the repair, the air conditioner produced and still has only, totally all hot air!!!..J*** refuses to fix what he broke without more charges....  I would just like my air conditioner to have some cool air like it had before Jeff's auto worked on the car and charged a big price- just destroying my air conditioner..The car has low mileage and only the air conditioner does not work with the car...Do you have a way to help me when he refuses to make this situation right without charging more big money...Please let me know... If you can help, without me pahying more money, is it ok to send you, by postal mail, my receipt from Jeff's auto repair? Let me know the address to sen the receipt... Taking the car back will only be more big charges to fix what was destroyed by the repair..I am retired  now..In the past, I lived farther away .  I lived in different locations at different times..My former cars had very big mileage and were much older cars...All car repair shops I went to in the past, always gave me an estimate,after a complete diagnosis.. They fixed every car air conditioner I had in the past first time at a reasonable cost..... Each car I had in past hears, had more problems with the air conditioner and wasfixed at other repair shops as promised. .I do not think this shop knows what is wrong with the air conditioner...Please let me know if you can help since j*** refuses to try to fix what once worked without more money charges....Sincerely, G**** S******
