The DDC failed to communicate with the lab to schedule appointment times and these had to be rescheduled 4 different times which delayed our ***** by over 2 weeks. Finally received an email that stated results would be posted by 3/19. On 3/19, received an email that there was a delay with results until 3/24. Called customer service to inquire about the delay and they had no solutions. I told them it was unacceptable to take our money, promise results by a certain date, but continue to delay the date to post results. We doubt if we will ever see the results. We are demanding a refund this place is nothing but a complete scam and they need to be shut down immediately.

Purchase the DNA test kit because it was promised that the results would be within one of two business days. Spent money on this specific test because of that reason. Received an email on February 10th that the results would be ready by February 12th by 5:00 p.m. Pacific standard time. Received an email today February 12th at 12:45 p.m. stating that the results would not be available until the 14th. When I called their customer service number, I was given the reason that the DNA results were not yet inconclusive but they were having issues with the threshold. I explained to her that there should not be a guarantee on their product for one to two business days. If they could not provide that said result. Who I spoke with told me that It was rare that this happened but it happened and there was nothing they could do about it. When I told her I found that unacceptable. She then went to explain to me that every single day she talked to people on the phone that had to deal with the same thing. I'm not sure if they know the difference between rare and everyday, but those answers seem to very much so conflict with each other. It sounds like this is a pattern of theirs to guarantee the 1 to 2-day results but not actually be able to deliver that. I was told that I would be contacted by supervisor by tomorrow because it was the end of the business day. I would not have spent the extra money to get this specific test. If I would have known I would not gotten the results in the guaranteed time that they promise along with this product. I'm not happy right now at all that I still do not have the results by the promised time and feel I deserve a refund and not only that that they should stop making promises that they can't keep

      Hello,

Thank you for choosing DDC for your testing needs.  We do apologize for the delay in testing.  We do advertise results in as little as 2 business days after receipt.  Unfortunately, there are times when we need to complete additional testing which can cause delays.  We did speak to the customer and were able to provide a $30.00 refund for the delay.

I bought a prenatal paternity test on Nov 12th. We went to the lab Nov 13 DDC received the sample Nov 14th. Original we were promised 11/20 then was emailed there was a delayed to 11/22 then nothing. I called and was told the 28th. I heard nothing I wait and wait. Then I call and they tell me they need a new sample bc they there wasn’t enough hormones in my blood and that can happen in early pregnancy not knowing I was over 20 weeks pregnant when they took the blood. So they re-took my sample a 12/9 told me 5 days. I call on the 18th they tell me it’s not due until the 19th call back if I don’t get it. I called yesterday they said no the due date was never the 19th it is today 12/20 by 8:00 PM and again nothing. I will call on Monday again but I will bet money they say it’s another date. Here we are over a month from my payment and no results. I did this to speed up an immigration process but at this point I might as well wait until the baby is here in March. They are scammers promise 5 days and by reading all the complaints never deliver on what they promise.

I first (thought) they had scheduled a DNA test for me 11/14/24 and the results would be ready a few days after that. The test was never confirmed by the lab and when I called to confirm, they said they could not perform it. I called DDC and waited on hold for 1.5 hours before the line went dead. The following day, when the test was supposed to occur, I called again and asked to switch locations. After arriving a week later at the new location I was told that lab had also tried to contact DDC to tell them they could not perform the test that day. DDC had not responded to them and had not contacted me either. I rescheduled directly with the lab for the following day. Then when I arrived they had not received a kit from DDC (they had never sent one) and had to use a backup one. I called DDC again and requested expedited 4 day test results due to the delays and was told they would be ready within 4 days. Then when I called to confirm they were on track, they told me they were missing documents from the lab. I had to contact the lab directly and they shared they had not heard from DDC, but had sent the documents. I then confirmed that DDC received the documents and the results would still be ready on time. The next day I called to check and they informed me that they had not received the documents. I pointed out that this was incorrect and they then contradicted themselves saying their own uploads “department” had been slow. They again told me the results would be ready the following day. The following day I called again, was reassured again, and also in confirming my email was told they had somehow been sending me emails without any email on file. The following day the results were still not ready and they told me that they would actually not be ready for an additional 3 days. I called after the 3 days, was again promised they would be ready, and received no results. Now the results have taken 3 weeks longer than originally promised and I still have not received them.

While the company provided the results finally, it took 3 more phone calls and 2 additional business days on top of the results already being delayed several times before that. It was only after the results were over a week late that DDC realized they were missing a key document, which I had to assist them in receiving by contacting the lab directly on their behalf. At this point, it does not feel adequate to simply receive an apology after such a stressful and confusing process where I was repeatedly mislead and had to take on tasks that DDC should have been able to perform on their own. I would like a refund.

I was clear about my desire for a refund. I have already spent over 7 hours on hold or speaking with the business already just to get to the point of receiving the promised results. The people who I spoke to were very polite, but that does not change the fact that this business is operating in a misleading and disorganized fashion. On November 5, I reached out to DNA Diagnostics Center for a prenatal paternity test. The agent I spoke to told me I could pay $1399.99 upfront and that I'd get my results in 3-5 days. He also mentioned that someone else would contact me to confirm the date and time for my appointment at their ******** ** location. Then I got an email from some Melissa, and guess what? The location had changed! When I asked for an explanation, I got nothing. I went to the new location, and when it was time for the results, I got another email saying there would be a delay, and I wouldn't see the results until November 26, 2024. Finally, I received the results on 11/25/24, but right away, I knew something was off. There was no genetic data, a different case number than what I was given before, the sample numbers were all wrong, there were misspellings, the accreditations were incorrect, and it claimed the test was completed the same day I got it! When I tried to call, I couldn't reach anyone, so I started dialing every number I could find. Eventually, I got through to someone and gave her the first case number. She told me the test was completed on 11/25/24 and that the results were mailed out on 11/26/24. I pointed out that was impossible since I had the results on 11/25/24, and then she just hung up on me!

Yes, I was called but still answers were confusing, some did not make any sense, and she told me that yes I was scheduled for the Gardena location, that they did not do blood draws, so why the reps did not know that when scheduling. I can not take the test to the courts if i wanted to.

On Nov 6th, 2024, I reached out and spoke with a case specialist at DDC to find out more info about the NIPP testing. I responded 2 days later to schedule the test for Monday Nov 18th. It was $1600. I paid for the 3-day testing that way I’d have results by the end of the week. There was a small scheduling hassle throughout the day, so the case specialist discounted it to $1300 and assured me it would still be a 3 day result. I discussed that it was a time sensitive test, so I wanted to be certain before spending the money. After paying the deposit, going and submitting my blood sample, the alleged father submitting his sample the same day at a local lab, I had no indication the timeline would be missed. Prior, the case specialist said the sample would be received by the lab Tuesday via mail (I’m in ******* and the lab is in ****). I received an email on Thursday saying the samples were received and the due date for results was Fri Nov 22nd by 8pm (as expected). An hour later, I received another email saying it would be delayed until Monday 11/25. On Monday I called and they said results were not in but delayed until 11/28 (on thanksgiving day). Annoyed at the lack of info, she said I’d receive a refund for the difference of the costs since they were late. The representative I called couldn’t reach the lab and promised a call back. I called her the following morning (today) and still no update on the expected date. So now beyond the deadline I still need to reach, I am left with no answers, no expected date for results and mentally drained. This affects way too many lives, and their mental health, at such a cost to not be treated with respect in updates, honoring the promise, or even returning calls. Each time I sit on hold for 30 minutes, I regret using DDC. How can this be a credible business without proper communication.

Horrific experience. It has been more than a month and I still haven’t received my results that were supposed to be received in 3 days. I call daily, multiple times a day and every time it’s a different lie and different excuse. I became outraged when they began recycling the lies and even after having a new blood draw and nothing. For $1600 on a pre paternity test allegedly turning in results in 3 days after 7 weeks of pregnancy they are an utter scam. These people ruin lives and have absolutely no care for mental health or well being of the lives they ruin. Debra Davis and her full laboratory along with customer service should be Fired!

On Oct 28, 2024, I Paid them $258.99 for a DNA test to determine if me and another person have the same father. Hello,

This does not appear to be a test directly through DNA Diagnostics Center and we are not familiar with Dr. Y****.  If you purchased this test on ******, is it possible it is through another laboratory?  If this was through DNA Diagnostics Center please confirm and we will reach out directly to work on a resolution.

      Regards,
