Consumers are advised that it is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to falsely state that a complaint has been filed against a consumer, to fail to disclose that a communication is from a debt collector, to make a telephone call without meaningful disclosure of the caller's identity or to falsely state and/or imply that the caller is with the attorney general's office.
RCS has responded to some consumers indicating they would not be contacted by phone again, or the account was returned or that if the consumer would like the calls to stop they may send a letter asking them not to contact them by phone to the following address:

I have asked this company to ONLY contact me via mail and the verify any debt I have with them. This has not happened I have never had business or accounts with reliant capital and they are continuing to spam call me, sometimes multiple times a day. I would like this company to cease all contact with me.

the last 5 digits of my ssn# do not open file still unable to view I even tried last 4. The fact that the ssn# does not match makes me even more concerned about the legitimacy of this debt and the business practices being used by this company.

On Friday 3/10/23 I was @ a medical appointment & I got a phone call from a company called Capital Solutions. I identified myself & they preceeded to explain to me I owed a Texaco gas card for nearly $3000.00. The representative was professional , however she insisted the card was mine & had been used since 1987. She further clarified that it had been used but someone stopped paying on it in August /22. I continued to explain that it wasn't my card because I haven't had a gas card in a very long time & it wasn't Texaco. The representative went on to assert that it was Obviously someone close to me that had all my personal info at which time she gave ne the last four of my SS #. At this point I was annoyed because I was trying to pay for my medications @ the pharmacy . I didn't like the implications she was making & told her so. Upon , returning home I called all three credit bureaus because it's never been on my credit profile. We are talking about since 1987? We agreed the conversation was over & she said she would hand it over to the attorneys.Business response

I received a notice that I have a collection from RELIANT CAP on my credit report. It says it was opened on 12/01/2022 for $6,092.00 with account number starting in ******** that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the FCRA and FDCPA. I would like for this collection to be removed asap or I will file a CFPB and FTC report.Business response

This is to notify you that I am ******* *******, the beneficiary of the ******* ******* estate. As a living person moving on behalf of my estate in this bankrupt corporation (United States). Collecting a debt from me is a violation of my rights.
I have never signed a binding contract without you company which means i never gave written consent to you or your company to have any of my information. I am DEMANDING that you CEASE AND DESIST, delete ALL information regarding ******* *******. This is a violation of 15 usc 1692 - congressional findings and declaration of purpose. You are committing abusive practices, “invasions of individual privacy”.
In the letter that was sent to my home it states, “This communication is in attempt to collect a debt by a debt collector. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose.” 15 usc 1692b(2) - “not state that such consumer owes any debt”.
According to 15 usc 1692c(1), a debt collector cannot contact me without written consent at ANY unusual time. I never gave you consent to communicate with me at all. And you sent mail to my place of business which is also violating 15 usc 1692c(a)(3). Which leads to another violation of 15 usc 1692b(5). “not use any language or symbol on any envelope or in the contents of any communication effected by the mails or telegram that indicates that the debt collector is in the debt collection business or that the communication relates to the collection of a debt;” “A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt.” In the letter that i received you also violated 15 usc 1692d(2), “The use of obscene or profane language or language the natural consequence of which is to abuse the hearer or reader,” because you stated “this communication is an attempt to collect a debt by a debt collector. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose.”
Also, your violating 15 usc 1692e(3), your communicating with me as a attorney on behalf of another company trying to collect an alleged debt. Civil Liability (15 usc 1692k, “in the case of any action by an individual, such additional damages as the court may allow, but not exceeding $1,000.”

Reliant capital solution, you are reporting inaccurate and unverifiable information. I have request for a full discloser of this debt. I have not received my original contract, sign signature or any information about this debt. By law after 30 days this debt is not mine. It has been 45 days so this allged debt is not mine. cease and desist all reporting of this debt asap. These people won't stop contacting regarding fraud that I have sent paperwork for. I have sent the paperwork 3 times. They say they've never received it and then today they say they can't accept the paperwork because the ends of the paper have been cut off. It was mailed to them 2/22, emailed to them 4/20/22, emailed again 5/3/2022, and again 11/16/2022. These people at this company are no help and it's pointless for them to contacted when the paperwork has been presented to them several times. Calls get nowhere, emails get nowhere, the person I talked to today told me I have a lien against me. I called the actual Ag of Ohio and they said they have no record of anything.Business response

This company has not validated this debt to me and also all of the correspondence they have sent is in someone else's name. Before I started making payments, Reliant Capital Solutions guaranteed me that as long as I was paying on the account, they would not report to the credit bureaus. Shortly after the call and after I made payments, they started reporting to the credit bureaus. I find this extremely deceiving and not in good faith especially when I could easily ignored their calls. I will continue making my payments if they keep their word and delete the negative reporting on my credit report.Business response
