I purchased a home at **** ******** ***** **** ********** ** ***** the septic failed inspection and had to be replaced. The sale had an agreement that the septic would be replaced by a contractor of the sellers choosing. Dana Daughters Excavating was hired by the sellers and the funds for the home at the time of the sale were placed in an escrow account with my mortgage company. Dana Daughters started on the work on Thursday, October 13th. When the contractor left there was a hole in the ground that was concerning, we contacted Dana Daughters Excavating right away to please come back and finish filling in the hole. He stated he would. On October 25th I received an email from my mortgage company asking for confirmation the job was finished and that they were in the process of releasing the funds. I explained what state the yard was left, that we had been trying to get him to finish and the mortgage company advised me to wait until the contractor finished to send confirmation in writing. On October 26th I text Mr. Daughters that the funds would be released as soon as the hole was filled in per my mortgage companies' advice. Mr. Daughters got very angry and started yelling profanities at my husband on the phone, and texting me saying to pay my bill, (at this time Mr. Daughters had not sent any bill). Mr. Daughters did send a worker to my house and had him fill in the hole on October 27th. I emailed my mortgage company the very next morning (October 28th) to release the funds because the job was finished. My mortgage company informed Mr. Daughters the funds were released on November 1st. Since November 3rd Mr. Daughters has text me 6 times harassing me for payment. Mr. Daughters has threatened me with putting a lien on my home since October 26th. I have asked him several times to not contact me, I have no control over how fast the mail sends the money. I have never delt with someone so unprofessional. I would like him to stop contacting me.
