      On April 14, 2022, Dixie Fence South received our deposit, which was half down (2,200), to put up a fence in our backyard. Dixie Fence said they needed to wait to do so, because they were extremely behind because of COVID but would be able to do the job in the fall of 2022 and NLT spring 2023. Dixie Fence said they would prefer to do the job when the leaves were not on the bushes/trees for easy removal of brush before installing the fence. It sounded reasonable that the Fall or Spring, after or before the bloom would be best. They did not get to it in the Fall, so we thought before the trees started to bloom in the Spring, they would keep their commitment. I started calling to inquire about the job in early March. I actually talked to the owner, Rob. He said his business had taken a hit and he had some misfortunes happen, but explained that had nothing to do with him doing our job and he would keep his commitment to us and the installation of our fence. He didn’t have a pencil or paper, so asked me to text my information and he would get to us. I never heard from him again. He won’t answer calls or text messages. We gave him 2,200 and got absolutely nothing for it, it is as though he has totally disappeared. We only used him because our neighbors used him and had a beautiful fence put around their entire yard. If he can’t do the job, we would like him to return our 2,200. We are not rich people, so that was a lot of money for us and we simply cannot afford to throw that money away. The only reason we are just reaching out to you is because it’s evident now that he will not be keeping his word, now that the blooms are fully grown back and he was to do the job before we got to this point, I apologize for being over a month late with the complaint but we really thought he was going to be here this Spring as promised and Spring has just come to an end. We would still like a fence built but if not we would like our 2,200 returned as soon as possible. Thank you very much!

      I had a fence built around my pool in July 2021. In September of 2021, I reached out to *** ****** to let him know all of the screws were rusted. He texted me that it was a bad batch of screws and that he would send someone out to replace them. I routinely texted him asking for updates as to when the screws would be replaced. Finally, on June 2, 2022 Thomas came and switched the screws, but told me he would come back to paint the screws as they were not the correct color for the fence. I again routinely texted *** to ask when the screws would be painted and informed him that some of the original screws were not replaced and that some of the new screws were falling out of the fence. ***'s response was always that they were extremely busy but that I was "on the board" to be fixed that week. It's been almost 2 years and the fence is still missing screws, and has rusted or different colored screws.

      We contracted Dixie Fence to install 16,000 sq. ft. of fence at our house. The design called for corner of the fence to be 16' away from the house which would be on our property. Dixie installed it 16' 10" away which made us in violation of the plot and in conflict with our neighbors property. There were other holes in the fence which we wanted to correct. Dixie ignored our multiple emails and phone calls to try to correct the issue.

      The name of the business if Dixie Fence LLC. Apparently, they go by the name Dixie Fence South LLC. The in February 2023 OH AG Dave Yost has also opened a fraud investigation into this business.

      Met with Rob Fraley of Dixie Fence South on 5/5/2022 to discuss installation of a pool fence. Estimate was provided and proceeded to pay a 50% deposit of $4250. Expected start date was 2-3 weeks after pool installation. Pool was installed by end of May, but Mr. Fraley became noncommittal to an install date. Traded text messages up until 10/3/22 when he stopped responding. Repeated calls to the office/cell go to voicemail. Have left many messages but have never received a call back or a reply via text.

      We got a loan thru Wright Pat Credit Union for 2 fences back in March of 2022 right there at our house when we had the guy come out and give us a quote. We waited until August, since we hadn't heard anything, we tried calling and asking when the install would be. Always got a voice mail. Tried for weeks. Finally they answered and said we were 5th in line. That never happened. Then they stopped answering all together. So we contacted Wright Pat. asking why they would let a F rated company be a 3rd party merchant. They were shocked to be informed of this and assured us we would be contacted. That never happened. They asked us what we wanted to do wait for service or install or get a full refund. We asked for the refund. Then they said they talked to the owner and he said as soon as they get some jobs done we would get a full refund and not to make the monthly payment saying we would have the funds by the end of the month. That month came and went, next month same thing, don't make a payment they promise to pay by the end of the month. That never happened and finally they received a letter from Dixie Fences attorney. It's be 4 months since then and we have given our information to the Montgomery County Prosecutors office. He said we were #17 on the list. Now we are going to have to get our own attorney involved and go after Dixie Fence and Wright Pat since it seems they worked together on this scam. We just want our refund that's all. So now we are paying on a loan with no service or fences at all. Anyone know which attorney would be best for this. We will have to get the police involved too.

      they were paid to do a job in august, they stated the job would be finished in october. each week is well get to you next week, well get you next week...over and over. ive contacted them numerous times. had a Dayton officer show to mediate a resolution to which they would not come out to speak and said they are being bullied into giving a refund. i gave them a week notice to provide the services or a refund and to which they replied its a process and will take some time...a police report has been filed aswell

      Provided down payment for fence installation of $2520 on 3-31-2022. NO fence NO refund, they do not answer phone. Saw on news Rion/Rion & Rion is representing Dixie Fence. I spoke to *** **** **** on 11-8 and was given phone number to Springfield office. I called Springfield office on 11-10 and was told I was on the list. Not sure what that means. I submitted an information request via Rion's website today 12-5.

      Late June of 2022 paid $ 1900 downpayment on a wood privacy fence that was to be replaced - 4-8 weeks. Never heard from company and finally cancelled our contract in October after being made aware of numerous similar complaints listed herein. Subsequently requested a return of our $ 1900 from the company and have been completely ignored by the Dixie Fence. Apparently criminal charges are in process and hopefully will see some resolution in the coming months.

      *** came out in July and did an estimate for a fence install. He heard me say that I wanted to put in a deck and suggested his son could do the deck for us and we could do all the financing together through ****** ****. *** and his son came back out and gave me estimates for both. I decided to use them because they were family and one financing would be easy. They were quick to get financing approved for us and the money went directly to them. *** said he wanted the deck to come in first and then fencing could be done right after within 12 weeks at the latest. I did not hear from anyone because his son ***** told us that it would be at least 2 weeks or so for the plans on the deck to be drawn up. Month goes by and ***** is still telling me that the plans are more complicated than I think it is and his dad was much farther behind. I was trying to take care of permits but I waited. Tried calling *** to tell him that I wanted my fence install and did not want to wait for deck first. No answer and no return calls at all. I kept being told the deck plans would get to me. Well last month ***** tells me he has 2 clients ahead of me and would bring me the plans. I have yet to get the plans. reached out to ***** via email he replied saying he thought he gave me the plans and again would get them to me by the end of the week. I am hoping he does. I am still trying to get a hold of ***. *** has not contacted me since I signed the contract for ****** **** for them to get their money. Although ***** has been in touch, I feel like he is giving me the run around and *** has never returned my calls to give me an update. This is so frustrating and hope that someone returns my calls soon and this can be resolved. Answering service says returned within 48 hours. Its been months. After seeing complaints filed against them and the news report this has me worried. Winter is coming and this also has me worried that my deck and fence will not be done and would like a full refund if not.

      Contract was signed 3/26/22 for new fence. Total contract was $8,200. *** ****** required 50% down payment. Check was written for $4,100. We were told and in the contract it states, would take 8-12 weeks to get materials to put in the fence. Followed up numerous times with no response. The last few times calling ***'s cell phone, the voicemail was full and you could not leave a message. I called another number from their business card and told them if I did not hear back I would need to take further action. A gal named ***** did call me back and apologized. She is working for *** and trying to answer his calls. I told her that since they obviously had more business than they could handle to refund my deposit because winter is coming and I need to find someone else to do the fence. She said she would meet with *** and his wife and get back to me. I have talked to her a few times and it appears she is just the messenger. She said she told *** we wanted a refund of our deposit so we can pursue someone else to install. After asking several times from her for confirmation that my deposit is in progress of being returned, she cannot tell me that is in the works. She just states she has relayed the message. It has now been 7 months that they have my deposit and I need to get that returned so I can pay someone who will actually do the work.
