As a contractor for *** they were sent out to look at my heater. FR responded (funny name since it took them so long); they checked the system, took pictures, and said we ONLY* needed a part - (that was in March) - after a week, I called and got "part was on order," "back order," in (April) I was able to speak to a Manager/******* who had the part on another job in another state (that is 3 months w/o heat), by then (I think early May) it was hot (a good thing), went to turn the air on and it was not working, so we had to make another claim, another $100 and wait, same guy arrived said the condenser was out and we were savvy people, since it had some other issues that would need repairing in a few months (where the freon would cost us another 2K) we should just get a new unit. Felt like bait and switch, so I called and paid an outside contractor to look at the heater and air. Thank goodness, *** ******* found we had a cracked heat exchanger, and if we had turned it on, we could have blown up our house or died from poisoning; TD also said the air was toast, and the issues noted and some not found by the other FR, were required fixes. We called FR back, and they had us forward the TD pictures to them. They used those to re-submit to AHS - they didn't even return and take their own. After another 4 weeks, *** agreed to replace the heater but would only pay $800 of the more than 6K charges - and then still would only replace the condenser on the **** around $800 as they didn't hear we had other issues from FR. I went back to ******* - who I felt was trying to help us, but then, I think, gave up as I stopped getting callbacks and was left with their Customer **********************. I assume some of this is because of AHS, but the part mixup and missing MAJOR* issues are not. Charging more than other contractors for custom ductwork (my heater fits in a closet, not 2K of ducting). In the end (now July), I replaced BOTH units for 6K total through another contractor vs. 15K from FR.Review from Karen B

Fast Response is contracted through AHS and I had to pay over $900 for them to fix my ac which they were unsuccessful. From 6/7/2024 to current they havent resolved the problem. Several technicians have responded without any resolution. They r crooked. They tried to talk me into getting a new system for over $6000 or I would have to wait a couple of weeks until a part come in. Had no problem with waiting but I believe they did something to my unit so that my air would stop working. I dont trust them or recommend them to anyone.Review from Nikia F

I will never recommend this company. We reached out to our home warranty company and were linked with this company. Our AC was giving us issues. My husband has his own account with the first technician, with the technician verbally stating that the unit needed replacing but noting on the work order that a part needed replacing and freon needed to be added. Not to mention his supervisor also tried to sell a new unit to us on the side. But that's neither here nor there. After our unit was "fixed," we gave it about 3 or 4 weeks and our house was still warm. My husband is out of town so I looked into it myself. Our home warranty company only allowed us to contact the same company to come back out and not have a new company take a look. Begrudgingly, I reached out to them. They finally had a worker come out. He came to the door, let me know that he was going to take a look, asked me to turn the thermostat down to 70, and got started. I went inside the house and after maybe 5 or 10 minutes, he came back to say that he increased the pressure and that it should help. To give it a week. I thanked him and he left. Just minutes later, my husband received the bill via text. The bill stated that freon was added. The technician didn't make any mention of this, at all. I even have our interaction recorded on our doorbell camera. And I'm not the expert so perhaps adding it was a part of the pressurizing process. But if there was an issue where your original tech didn't add enough, why do I have to pay for the extra? And I believe my husband said he was supposed to be reimbursed for unused freon the FIRST time and they never did.The best part about the encounter is that it was our experience with them that finally drove us to cancel our home warranty subscription. We will work directly with better companies here forward.Review from Vickie P

I have been dealing with an air conditioning issue for more than three weeks now. A representative came out on July 6, 2024. At that time, I was told there was a defective breaker switch and a new part had to be ordered and it should take 3-5 business days. I was also told not to turn the air conditioner off because it would not come back on due to the defective part. I have made several calls to both American Home Shield and Fast Response Heating & Cooling Service over the past three weeks. The response from both was "we're waiting on the part". When I called today, July 23, 2024, I was then told it should have been 7-10 business days for the part to arrive, which this time has also elapsed. I was promised a call back from Fast Response each time I called and as of today, I have not received any return calls. Bottom line up front, I am very disappointed with the unacceptable service that I have received from both American Home Shield and Fast Response Heating & Cooling. My air conditioner has been running non-stop for 18 days. I can just imagine how much my electric bill is going to be. I can safely assume that neither company will provide any financial assistance to help with the electric bill. The only choice I have left is to report my difficulties and frustrations with the services I've requested to the Better Business Bureau.Review from Glenda M

Do not use this company!!!! Back around March or April of this year, my furnace went out. My home warranty company sent out Fast Response. I hey came out and told me that I need a new inducer motor and they need to order it. They came back out around 2 1/2 weeks later. I had a friend to come out and wait for them arrive. They were a couple of hours late. When they came in, the tech was carrying a box. He was there for about 1/2 hour and said he was done and it's working. When I got home that night, the furnace wasn't working. Called my home warranty company again and they gave me Fast Response's information for me to call. After a few days, another tech came out. He stated that a rock had been dropped into the motor. He can't do anything else because they have replaced this motor, and it is a new issue. After weeks of emailing them and asking for pictures because they some pictures, when they came out the first time. They would not come back, and they sent me the first set of pictures that they took. On November 14, 2023, I called a different HAVAC company. That tech told me, that the inducer motor had not been replaced. I then compared the motor to the pictures that was emailed to me. It was the same motor!! They removed the piece of broken fan blade and placed a small piece of duct work tape over a small hole. The new inducer motor cost me out of pocket, $625.00 and $100.00 for my home warranty service call. I have the old inducer motor and parts. I tried to leave a review but, their website will only take positive reviews.Review from Robert M

I waited 7 days for a technician to come look at my electric furnace because it was blowing cool air. When he arrived he asked me what was the problem, I told him then he took pics of my furnace about 10mins later looked around and said he didn't have a tool that he needed, then he left and NEVER returned. I called ******** **** ****** and they said to wait for Fast Response to call with an update, what a joke!Review from Diana W

If I could give zero stars I would! Considering their name is Fast Response is the biggest joke of all. Do yourself a favor and Run as fast as you can away from this place! They are scammers! ******** **** ****** sent them out to my house a week ago. The technician called me and said he would be there in an hour but showed up 3 hours later with no phone call and some lame excuse about being stuck in traffic for 3 hours. BS. He looked at our unit and said the transformer had blown and had to order a part that would take two days to get in to fix that before he could diagnose the real issue. Fast forward a week later with no phone call or follow up from this company but a magical diagnose email from AHS stating that the blower motor failed due to a water leak, not normal wear and tear and it would be $1500 out of pocket. So I called Fast Response and asked to speak to a supervisor who called me back to explain how this is not their problem. I asked the supervisor, Nick how a diagnosis could be made when his technician never replaced the transformer part and never tested the unit! He offered no apology and no explanation as to how the diagnosis could be given when the unit was not running at the time. Scammers! I have requested a different company to come out and will be filing a complaint with the BBB about this company's shoddy business practices. Stay away from them.Review from Alene M

This company is a piece of crap and I'm beginning to believe that ******** **** ****** only hires a piece of crap!! I have been trying to get my unit replaced for 3 years now and every year they want to come out and and patch another part and every year it ends us costing me more money. I hate this company and end up going along with their diagnosis because AHS will agree wit them and not give me a buy out!! It's been almost a month now, and *** says it's Fast Response and Fast Response says it ***. I'm running out of patience!!! Can somebody please help!!!Review from David W

I was referred by ******** **** ****** and they need to stop referring this company!!! Two gentleman came out to see the problem with my A/C. A damaged coil that was leaking Freon. I was quoted an amount of $1,380. Then I was texted a link to pay which is another thousand increase. I have to go this amount because *** would not assign me to someone else and we have animals. THEY HAD BETTER come up with the ordered parts timely and fix my air or I will be dropping them or taking them to court.
