Thank you for sending this to me. All used vehicles sold at Kia of Dayton go through a multi point inspection before being offered for sale. Customers test drive and are welcome to take used vehicles to a mechanic of their choice before completing purchase. This used vehicle purchase had the option of a warranty available, customer refused said option. This vehicle was mechanically sound at time of purchase. Tritny has not returned to Kia of Dayton expressing any issues with the purchased vehicle.Review fromNicholas L

1 starThis is a terrible dealer to try and do business with. I called to confirm availability on a car since I live over 30 minutes away from the dealer. They confirmed it was still available, so I told them I was on my way to buy it. While on my way, another sales rep set an appointment to see it and started the sale without informing the rep I was dealing with. I arrived to find that they were already in the process of trying to issue financing. I was informed they were not sure if it would be approved and left to sit and wait for over an hour. Then we were finally told that they were approved and tough luck. I could have put a deposit over the phone if I was made aware that it could be sold out from under me. The management and sales staff lack serious communication skills and professionalism. I have had a less than satisfactory business deal with staff at Subaru of Dayton, which is in the auto group that owns this dealership as well. It seems it is not an isolated event but a company wide issue.Review fromBarbara N

1 starWe talked our son into buying a Kia because of their "great warranty". He was driving home from work over a month ago and the engine blew. He paid extra for a warranty that is a scam for money. Had it towed to Kia. When they first looked at it they made a "mistake" and told him it was not covered. So I called the GM, Gabe B. and he told me (also left a voice message telling me he would make sure it got done) it would be taken care of because the service manager made a mistake putting the information in the computer, but it might take awhile due to red tape to get through. We had no problem with that. The service manager called this week said the warranty company was going to close the claim because it's been open too long. We have never heard from them before that. He said they needed all of his maintenance records. He has only had the car for a year. He did 2 oil changes himself and because he didn't keep his receipts for the oil and filter, now they are denying the claim. They want $10,000 to put an engine in a car we still owe $20,000 on. ?????? DONT buy a KIA.Review fromLaura G

1 starPlease stay away from this dealership. They withheld a known issue with the used car I purchased from Kia of Dayton less than a week ago. Had I known, I would not have purchased the car in the first place. The check engine light came on a few days later. Then I find out the Dealership knew it needed a sensor/part replaced before selling it to me, but there was a miscommunication since the Sales team was not told there was a sensor/part on backorder. I found out when I scheduled a service appoint for myself. I asked for an explanation. I was told there is no issue with the car. But they also said that I needed to bring the car in to replace a sensor. Perhaps I am overstating the actual possition that I NEED to bring it in since they assured me the care would operate just fine ...with a malfunctioning sensor/part. On the positive, I was told to "have a nice life" at the end of the call.Review fromPamela D

1 starI bought a 2024 Kia Seltos SX model saturday 07/22/23 the MSRP sticker price said 32,725 which is what I expected to pay for the car. However, they added an additional $3000 upsale without telling me and just added it to the financing and didn’t point it out or make sure I understood what I was agreeing to finance. Didn’t realize it until a few days later. Went back up there to talk to sales and GM and they informed me this is normal practice to add over MSRP and not inform the consumer but you sign all these papers without understanding or explanation of anything and they would not show remorse and or any care to my concerns to make it right and said I couldn’t even return the vehicle either. This is shady poor practice and unprofessional and I would not refer or recommend this dealership to anyone or buy anything else from them againReview fromJeremy S

1 starWe just bought a 2024 Kia Telluride that the salesman said as completely loaded and actually had more than what my wife wanted. One of the selling points that the salesman talked about was the tow package which was self leveling and could tow 500# more than a regular telluride, what he failed to tell us is that although it has the premium tow package, it does not have a hitch to tow anything. I didn’t realize this until we got home and I tried to take what looks like a cut out to remove to access the hitch. It wasn’t until I crawled under the vehicle that I realized that it did not have a hitch. I called the salesman back the very next day and he told that tow package didn’t include a hitch. How can you sell a new vehicle and say that it has a premium tow package if you can’t tow anything. In my eyes it’s false advertisement and a scam for them to lead us to believe that it had a hitch. Besides Shawn being untruthful about that, he also told my wife that they would switch the aftermarket wheels from my wife’s car to the new one for and calibrate the speedometer, since the aftermarket wheels were 20” and the ones that were on were 18”. After leaving the dealership we realized that the speedometer had not been calibrated and when I talked to Shawn about it, he again lied to me and said that he did not tell us that. I am very disappointed in this dealership and with the sales manager. The sales manager said that he would take $1000 off of the market adjustment on July 1st if we were to buy it, my wife & I wanted to talk it over and get back with him. We made an appointment with Shawn on 7/6 at 4:00 to do the paperwork, upon doing the deal I realized that they did not take off the $1000 for the market adjustment, when I asked about it he said that he would go talk to the him about. He returned and said that he was not going to take it off because that was only for the last day of the month, but he quoted us on 7/1. I asked to talk with him, which agreed but he never didReview fromNathan S

1 starHad to leave a one star rating because it won’t give me the option of half a star. This is hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever received in anything. Kia Optima connecting rod recall and we have been with out our car for 5+ weeks. No updates, no loaner car, only 2 weeks rental covered. Rental car is $1200/month and we are expected to upfront that and wait for reimbursement. Service department isn’t even friendly enough to keep quiet so that you can talk. Even your Home warranty claims are better to deal with than this place. They even lied about the struts not making any noises when it does every single bump. That’s how I know they didn’t even bother to check it.Review fromNicole G

1 starI will not get my vehicle serviced at the Huber Heights location nor will I recommend anyone receive services at this Kia location. I drive my vehicle over 100 miles every day. It is important to receive regular oil changes and other maintenance. Upon arrival, I was told that it would take about 1 to 1-1/2 hours for service to be completed; that any coupons could be applied at the end during payment; and that I would receive a message regarding the service performed and that my vehicle was ready. Over 2 hours later I was summoned. A comment was made to me that my service for the day was “taken care of.” I showed the coupon that I had to be applied to the bill. At that time, it was restated to me that it wasn’t needed, that my bill was “taken care of.” I received a free oil change. Needless to say, I didn’t pay attention to the fact that I wasn’t provided any sort of inspection report, multi-point check, or feedback regarding my vehicle. Since the service date of July 15, I have received multiple emails asking me to fill out a survey. On July 20, Daniel called me to inquire about the service I received and asked me to fill out the survey as I was happy with my service. The questions the survey asked pointed me to realize that the requested service may not have actually happened and therefore that is why I received a free oil change. I have no record of maintenance performed. I called the dealership. Conveniently, all calls are screened at the dealership. I first sat on hold for over 10 minutes. I hung up and called back. I sat on hold another 5 minutes. I called back a few more times demanding someone speak to me because obviously no one wanted to deal with a complaint. After explaining to the call screener It was important to me, a “Service Writer” listened just long enough to tell me he had a customer he had to help and put me on hold. Convenient.Review fromLeah G

1 starI took my car for service five times in one month (for the same problem). I would get the car back 'fixed' and in less than 7 days (sometimes only three), the check engine light would be on again for the same issue. After spending over $1300 for new spark plugs and new coil packs I am still no closer to figuring out what the problem is than when I started. I will not be taking any future vehicles back for service.
