      My complaint is with PayPal Inc and their bank . Ever since this bank has taken over . I don’t know what’s going on. I started seeing some type of bill for payment in the last two maybe three years . I didn’t know what it was for. I just thought PayPal was charging me money on purchases .i would call them and ask them did I owe them money they would say no. Then I would see an amount in red saying I need to pay this. Well it took me two years to finally realize that PayPal had put me into an PayPal credit account and I had to pay money. So I pay the merchant or PayPal back because they take the money out of your bank account. I’m not sure if it’s to use the PayPal service or to pay off a purchase . Once they closed my pay by three. Now it says I owe them $139.00 paying $41 monthly well $41.00 really crunches my budget as I have to buy medications that cost &150 . So I look at the options of reduced payments. PayPal or their bank punishes customers that use that option by permanently closing their PayPal account . They tell you you won’t be able to use their services ever again. Even when you pay them the money for PayPal credit which I still don’t understand how I got it. There are some stores that only have PayPal as another option! So if I don’t want my PayPal account closed I have to pay this money. If it is for purchases then PayPal needs to show that. Not a fee separate that just says PayPal credit

      Synchrony engages in predatory credit practices. In possession (at one point) of a CareCredit account in excess of 7k used for dental work. Due to covid and other situations, once the account was paid off on time and in terms, it was unused for a period of time. When I went to use it again, I was told no such account existed. After signing into the Synchrony portal, I verified the non-existance of the account and started a live chat asking where it was. I was told it was reduced and cancelled for inactivity without notice. But I was welcomed to apply again. This is a 4-fold detriment to credit scoring. 1. Reducing balance changed the credit to income ratio making it look like I'm using more credit then I am 2. Closing long term accounts have impacts on credit scores 3. Applying for new accounts by itself has detrimental impacts to credit scoring 4. The establishment of new account(s) impacts credit score. I feel I should not be penalized for responsible use of issued credit lines. and request sanctions again predatory lending practices

      This bank is not credit worthiness friendly will drop limits on customers that have 100% repayment and actively using card, which causes high credit usage on credit report. I do NOT recommend. wish I would have read all the complaints before applying for this card (Amazon store card). which i could give a NEGATIVE star!

      Predatory lending even if you have great credit. Hidden fees and charges. This company has no moral compass and they out course their customer service is awful.

      Both my husband and I have had our credit limits lowered, several cards were closed, no notice, no reason. We've had several accounts with Synchrony over the last 7-8 years, we paid them all on time and OVER the minimum payments. WAY over, and suddenly cards were being closed, WITH BALANCES. We're not the only ones; do a Google search to see all of the horror stories. If you see good reviews anywhere for this company ANYWHERE, they were probably paid for by Synchrony. I hope that eventually companies will stop using them bc it is hurting business. Ex. we used to put tires on our Discount Tire card in order to build credit... everything was paid in full, on time... card randomly canceled. Now we go to Costco; the only reason we went to Discount Tire was to use that card. I imagine they don't like us bc we're those people that take the "no interest if paid in full in a year" deals and, lol, actually pay it off in a year. They WANT people who can't/won't pay. Very predatory. We see all these good reviews from places like Business Insider, but then we see ACTUAL CUSTOMER REVIEWS and testimonies and they are REALLY BAD. Look at these ONE STAR reviews. And it's true that customer service is rude and nasty; I didn't remember if I changed my name with them (I got married and told the rep that) bc I am still in the process of changing my name with companies (it's veeery annoying, ugh). The trash person on the phone sneered "YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW YOUR NAME??" Like.. whoa.. what's the matter buddy? No one wants to spend their with you? Gee, I wonder why. I guess they hire bitter, forever alone incels? What a loser. This company is trash. Again, any and all good reviews were most likely paid for. AVOID at all costs; they will close your cards and ruin your credit even if you pay them on time, in full, and over the minimum. RUN!

      TERRIBLE and UNETHICAL company to do business with. DO Not do any business with this bank. Never again will I do business with this Synchrony and will inform everyone I know. It took them 3 months to send my statements to the right address last year. They apologized and credited my account 1 late fee. Almost a year later, I am making payments twice a month above the minimum payment. One month I made a payment April 1 and April 30 and it was all deposited for that month instead the next month. I am a month ahead in payments and they charged me a late fee and interest fee. The customer service rep I spoke to said even though I am a month ahead in payments she felt bad and couldn’t credit me the late fee. I paid off the credit card amount today and want to make sure that anyone opening up any line of credit with them will have a headache at the end. Save yourself the trouble and do not do any business with this bank.

      Terrible consumers service .Rude on phone when I call 100 times this year .I reported the bill at Milas cosmetics as fraud and never signed that receipt .Bank refused to reverse charges .I sent much proof she did to other consumers .They let Milas keep the money after I called them and reported fraud canceled and return products .Business now closed at Katy mall .Im a senior and will not list this .

      Where shall I start with this awful company?! 3 months ago, this company canceled 2 of my credit cards that I've never been late on and always paid far over my minimum every single month. Had the account for over a decade and randomly closed me saying I was high risk. I called and called and not a single person I spoke to could give me a reasoning as to why they randomly shut my accounts down when I never missed and always paid on time, etc. Fast forward a few months, I had a venmo credit card that didn't have a high balance, but I noticed Friday when I got paid that I had an email confirmation thanking me for my payment. I had paid for the month weeks ago and didn't make this payment. When I logged in, come to find out "someone" got into my account and paid my balance off which took almost my entire paycheck. Now who is going to hack my account, use my banking info to pay my card off?! I call and was greeted with a VERY rude and unprofessional man who barely spoke english, telling me I'm just out of luck. I finally after over an hour on the phone reached a different man who was very apologetic and transferred me to someone who could help me further. Their only resolution to this was to wait for it to fully go through, then I have to dispute it, and once my dispute was approved, then I would have to wait 10-15 business days for a refund check in the mail. Really?! They sure took my money immediately, but are going to send me a check in the mail?! This company is a scamming company and never again will I ever use Synchrony EVER again! Scammers and what a waste of time!

      I see so many NEGATIVE responses on this bank I wish I would have come to this site first before applying for credit this is one of the absolute worst banking to come about they will def have your credit affected with their shady ass practices with the see-saw credit balances.... giving a 1 star is too generous if ever a class action suit is file please include me!!!

      Do not get credit with this company. They will ruin you. They give an amount ,then they slowly take it away.They will reduce your credit limit,even though you pay on time. Your credit score will drop drastically. You can read several stories on the internet. Stay away from their credit cards.
