I signed up 2 weeks ago at their West Chester, Ohio location (forced contract). Worked out 3 times and every time I've found equipment missing, broken or not working. They won't let you out of your contract unless you move out of the area. I confronted the manager and his excuse is that I am the only one complaining about the problems there. This is a abysmal place and they practice predatory membership practices... Locking you in for 3 years. The only resolve for me is for them to cancel my contract immediately WITHOUT penalty or additional charges. This place should be avoided at all cost by the consumer. They are a bunch on Con Artists.EveryBody Fitness, LLC

I've been a member at Englewood for over three years (forced contract). When I signed up in December 2019, the manager said the repairs/4enovations to the locker rooms, the upgrades to equipment and sauna, and overall gym would be done within six months. While I understand the pandemic happened shortly after, none of these repairs, renovations, or upgrades have been made, rather the gym has deteriorated. I'm paying a monthly fee to use services that aren't even available. One of the men's locker room sinks hasn't worked in all the years. One of the urinals has been out of order for over a year. They lock you into a three year contract and don't fulfill any of their promises. I've also reported the facility to the county board of health.EveryBody Fitness, LLC

The repairs and renovations took longer than expected due to unforeseen circumstances. The repairs and renovations are moving along nicely. The new locker-room looks amazing!!Review fromMorgynn V

I asked to cancel in 2020 via email and they denied me because I'm in a contract but I'm not allowed to use their facilities for 6 months with no credit towards my contract and when I talked to 4 separate people this last year all promised I was on non-renewal and not one person said I needed to email them A SECOND ******* TIME. And now they're still charging me and the rude supervisor threatened me with collections and said "we'll get our money out of you either way" and hung up on me when I said I'm not paying nor being charged again and I already sent in an email a second time and she claimed I didn't even send another one and I did when I called them after being charged again. Scammers, lairs, thieves and a bunch of assholes.EveryBody Fitness, LLC

I Have tried for a year to cancel and they keep charging a card I no longer possess. Every month there is a late charge because of the card they are using I have given them the correct card to charge and I was told that I would have to call them every month to charge the correct card wich is **** ****.EveryBody Fitness, LLC

Awful. Read the fine print. If you do not click somewhere in the fine print, they will keep hitting your card then send you to collections when your year is up and claim you owe another year. This may be common practice and an industry standard but it's shady and BS.EveryBody Fitness, LLC

Our agreement clearly states the Renewal Terms clause which is not in fine print. It is a normal part of the agreement. Mr. A******* signed the agreement stating he read the agreement and acknowledged all the terms and conditions contained in the agreement. We did nothing to hide anything from him.Review fromCody F.

Lets just start this with saying, don't join them They are the biggest scam~like health club you could ever join. When I first went to join everybody fitness (over 3 years ago) they have you sign a 3 YEAR contract (apparently they have a 12 month one but I was never told about that, my 4 works friends I went with weren't either) with them that cannot, and I mean, CANNOT be canceled unless you are a REDICULOUS distance from a gym (pretty sure its 30 miles). After the three years you can cancel but what they don't tell you about canceling when signing up is that YOU HAVE TO GIVE A 30 DAY NOTICE VIA EMAIL to even think about leaving "business" with this scummy "company". During the pandemic when the gym near me was closed (and the closest other one which I believe was also closed being over half an hour away) they KEPT charging the customers. If you called the gym no one would answer and there was just a voicemail that said they WOULDN'T stop charging customers. I lost my job due to covid and barely had money to live and they still collected. I don't remember what else it said, as this was 1.5~2 years ago, but I'm pretty sure it was along the lines of customers would be given however long the gym was closed as credited/Free months on the end of the contract (which I didn't receive as I was still charged full price up till my three years). As of my three years to now, I was just charged a reduced rate (unclear reason). I attempted to contact them via info from BBB website last month to cancel and no one answered, left a voicemail with name and number to be called back to have received NOTHING until I called them today, which I had to ring them twice as I was sent to voicemail on the first attempt. I have nothing against the employee who took my call today but this company and their policies is just all around horrid. Found out today they didn't even have an accurate phone# for me, so take whatever they respond with w/grain of salt as they tend to disregard complaints.EveryBody Fitness, LLC

I am not sure of the resolution Mr. F***** is seeking with his complaint. Most of what he states is untrue. I see in notes under his membership that he spoke with our billing company today and sent them his 30 day notice to cancel. He has been set to cancel per his request. Thank you.Cody F.

This is where I will state that I DO NOT want nor care to have a resolution from a company that does not care for their customers, OTHER than properly giving your new customers a chance to know what they are getting into. I request that from here forward, you make it APPARENT to new customers that there isn't only a 3 year deal, and WARN them as is their right to know that once they sign up they cannot cancel until your ridiculous cancel terms are met. Also For new customers wanting to join that came to this website to read up on this business before joining please read all Reviews and Complaints (along with the responses to the complaints) as you will see that I am not the only person who feels this way. Also they say most of my statements are "untrue" but cannot provide any rebuttal to any of MY EXPERIENCES. They don't care about your nor will they ever. Keep in mind, THIS IS A REVIEW,ITS NOT MEANT FOR ME TO GET ANYTHING BACK, as this company will never refund you, will never work with you, no matter what a SITE MANAGER says as you can read from other customers here, Have a Lovely Day to all, Stay healthy and Safe during this Holiday SeasonReview fromDale W

Dont trust anyone in this place. I was a member for 20 years and they are trying to send me to collections for a $44 fee they say I owe even though I was out of contract. Do not join hereEveryBody Fitness, LLC

The $44 fee Mr. W****** is referring to is an annual fee and is clearly listed on his contract. He refused to pay the fee so as a courtesy we waived it for him.Review fromMichael J.

When I joined this gym I was made promises of 24/7 access and that they were "Fixing and Cleaning up the place". 2.5 years later the same machines are still broken. The same toilet has been broken with the same urine sitting in it since the day I joined. The place smells so bad now that it is hard to do cardio. The locker rooms are atrocious and most of the equipment is in ill repair as it has been for years. I have no idea how they could be an A- Rated business with 1.13 average review rating. This place is an absolute scam. Read all of the contract scam information on any reviewing platform. They charged me my dues when they were closed for COVID and I couldn't even go to the gym. I am counting the days to cancel my contract. I wish I could cancel sooner.EveryBody Fitness, LLC

We have thousands of happy and satisfied members at our clubs. The claims that Mr. Jester is making in his review are absolutely untrue. According to our records he has not checked in to our club in 196 days.Michael J.

Well your records are wrong, not surprising. I was there on September 29th. I would be happy to furnish the pictures that I took that are geo-tagged from that day of the disgusting tops of the fans and the toilet mentioned in my review. Also happy to provide the receipts from the months I was charged when the gym wasn't even open. Or you could just look at the hundreds of reviews from all sorts of websites that say the exact same things that I am saying here. Also, thousands of happy customers? Every time I've ever been in there, there are twenty people max in that gym and it is always the exact same people. I only go in there every couple months now to see that it hasn't improved a bit. At this point I would much rather work out at home.Review fromPamela C

Made an honest mistake and they claim they tried to call me. If it was a 1-800 number and no name then it comes up as a scam on my phone. Then it was turned over to Internal credit, and those people are extremely rude and hateful. I tried to explain what happened and neither place would listen. I absolutely will never have anything to do with Everybody and won't recommend themEveryBody Fitness, LLC

We are always sorry to hear if a member has a less than great experience with our club. We have thousands of satisfied members. With that being said, Ms. Cole’s complaint contains inaccurate information. We have documentation showing that we tried to reach her over and over to no avail. Our billing representatives, Rise Financial, have reached out to her over 52 times by phone regarding her past due balance with no response. The number they are calling from is not an 800 number, it is 937-365-2877. All she had to do to prevent being sent to external collections was answer the phone and make a payment on her account or make payment arrangements on her account. As far as our policy regarding external collection, we make every attempt to bring the account current before ever forwarding to a collection agency. It isn't until after 90 days without any contact, plan or commitment to get caught up that the account would be forwarded to an external collection agency.Review fromAustin S

Let me start this by stating I have been attending this franchise for almost 2 years now, attending the englewood gym and the troy gym once it opened(late and still missing equipment to this day) I have never complained about this gym and have also brought 5 of my friends to join this gym, recently I allowed them to know I was deploying for over a year out of country. The process of trying to cancel/suspend my contract due to military orders has been a hassle and still is. The managers at each of these gyms do not care about you, they care about signing you up for a outrageous contract which they try to sell you their highest paying contract without introducing you to the basic contract(which 90% of people are trying to sign up for). Staff is manipulative and rude once you sign up they simply do not care for you as they got their commission already.Talking to customer service was a hassle itself just trying to get them to answer their phones. Once you start talking to customer service about your situation and how you want to resolve it they will not try to help you or even care about your situation and just try to keep you in your contract.Customer service was very rude to not just me but others after talking to many other people and scrolling through the internet of people who have also went to this gym. Trying to speak to a manager in customer service just doesn't happen, they will deny you to talk to their boss or anyone else and tell you they will not do anything to help you and just try to leach money off of you. This is not a busniess that cares about their customers or even to supply their gym. with equipment as the troy gym is still missing equipment after being open for over 5months now. I would not recommend this gym to anyone who wants to actually go and workout without having to go to another gym 25 miles away that actually has the equipment to use certain machines or to even have enough plates for multiple people.Talking with customer service and explaEveryBody Fitness, LLC

Regarding Mr. Strong’s membership, we made an exception to our company policy, per the owner, and allowed him to be placed on a 13 month freeze with no payments due during the time he is deployed. The reason we did that is because he has only provided us with a screenshot of a memorandum for record email that was meant for his employer stating he would be gone for approximately one year beginning September 2022 and he would receive individual active-duty orders identifying report dates and release dates, etc. To consider a member for cancellation due to military deployment we require the actual orders. Once these are received by us for Mr. Strong, we will review them and make a cancellation determination based on the information contained in the orders. This is something we have always required of our military members. Thank you
