$7,000 that I gave to ***** ***** *** ******** ** **** back in August.
Additional information:
I have attached receipts for a vehicle from Kane’s Auto, as you can see Mr. ****** provided them with 7,000 dollars in August for a 2014 Lexus however the company provided Mr. ****** with a 2016 Lexus and informed him that he would need a cosigner for the additional amount. At that time Mr. ****** requested his money back, October 2024, and he was informed he would not be able to receive his money back due to them having to send the 2016 back to auction.
Mr. ****** is a resident of the homeless program at the ** in Pittsburgh and in need of his funds returned so that he may be able to obtain a vehicle within his price range. If there are any questions, please contact Mr. ****** directly at ************

Mr. ****** came to our dealership in August requesting to purchase a very specific Lexus vehicle. He gave money down towards the purchase with intentions to finance the remaining cost of the vehicle.
Our dealership was able to locate and purchase the specifically requested vehicle and had it shipped in from out of state to the dealership. Once Mr. ****** arrived back at the dealership, over a month later, the original credit application had expired. The dealership then resubmitted the credit application to the finance company and was informed that Mr. ******** credit score had dropped over 100 points and the finance company was now requiring a co-signer on the application to be able to get him pre-approved for the remaining cost of the vehicle.
Mr. ****** had another person contact our dealership attempting to co-sign, but unfortunately that person's credit was not able to help the bank pre-approve him for the loan. We informed Mr. ****** at the time that he made the request for this vehicle, that we had to add additional funds of our money to his to be able to purchase, and have the vehicle shipped in and that we would have to sell the vehicle because our money was tied up in this purchase also.
Mr. ****** then stated to us that he wanted to wait until around January or February to purchase a vehicle and that he would buy something a little cheaper that he would be able to afford.

I purchased a used vehicle from Kanes Auto LLC on 4/21/24. The car was advertised as “needing absolutely nothing, no lights on the dash, etc” I purchased an ** Pontiac G6. I was forced to purchase a warranty that is useless. Since purchase date I have replaced spark plugs, brake lines, solenoid cap, coil packs and now power steering lines (additional tow bill) costing me well over $1,000 since date of purchase. I had contacted the dealership after getting information on consumer attorneys to try to reach a mutual agreement of how to remedy the problem. They have since blocked my number and will not respond to messages. Including warranty and gap insurance my total cost for the car added to around $10,000. I do not want to pay for this car, let alone drive it as it’s just another catastrophe constantly waiting to happen. I fear putting my child in the car and driving it long distance to my 2nd job as I’m afraid it will leave me stranded. I am not the customer extremely dissatisfied and put in a dangerous vehicle situation due to this dealership, reference ****** reviews. It’s not fair to me as a genuine, good paying customer to have to have my credit affected with a voluntary repossession at the hands of this company simply lacking moral compass and selling less than mediocre product to make a quick buck. Lastly, I’d like to save other good paying genuine people from the schemes and lies of this dealership. I do still have the vehicle and will able to produce receipts of every service I received from ******** ****** in Cadiz Ohio. I will request records from the garage manager.Business Response

This customer purchased this vehicle back in April of 2024. There were no issues with the vehicle at the time of the purchase. This customer did purchase the vehicle "As-Is" and also purchased a Vehicle Service Contract with the loan. The issues that the customer is complaining about, that happened three months after the purchase, has nothing to do with the time of sale. This customer specifically had issues with the Vehicle Service Contract company and their operations with the issues. Again, this has nothing to do with our dealership. This customer mentioned that they reached out to their lawyer, and at that time I notified her that I was no longer able to communicate with her and that she would have to have her lawyer contact our lawyer.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The issues with the vehicle started not even a week after purchase as referenced in the text message screenshots sent above. Please review. The garage I’ve been using is ******** ***** in Cadiz, Ohio. Their phone number is ************ if you’d like to call for information. They will tell you this car has been in and out of their shop since end of April/early May of this year.

Vehicle was purchased on 11/28/22. As pictured below selling price was $11,800 before taxes and fees. I traded in my 2005 Jeep Grand cherokee for a down-payment of $4,600. A few weeks later I'm going through my paperwork for the truck and realized as pictured below they raised the price of the truck without my knowledge or Telling me to $17,500 before taxs and fees. On 12/29/22 The truck was not drivable. The front end was making a very loud grinding noise. I contacted Kane's Auto Deals that same day. They never answered I left a message telling them what was going on and to please contact me. They never called back. I did not financially have the money to put the truck in the shop to get repaired. My Father called Kanes Auto Deals on 1/4/23 to speak on my behalf because they would not call me back. The lady told my Dad that it's "Normal wear and tear" and they are not responsible. Which i understand that but for only having the truck for 1 month and 1 day that's not normal. On 1/10/23 I was finally able to get the truck in the shop and the cost for the fix was $537.30 as pictured. I'm seeking help because I feel I was taken advantage of. Thank you for reviewing and please consider. I'm seeking a settlement of $537.30 and also questioning why they raised the vehicle price $5,700 without my knowledge. Thank you.Business Response

Kane's Auto Deals has been in contact with the customer two times since 1-11-202 when this complaint was sent over to BBB. After further conversation with the customer, we were able to gain knowledge that they were contacted by another company and was persuaded and coached to send the complaint that was made to BBB. The customer was aware of the selling price of the vehicle he purchased and Kane's Auto Deals also offered to buy the vehicle back from the customer and return the trade-in vehicle back also. The customer refused to bring the vehicle back to Kane's Auto Deals and take back his original vehicle. The customer called Kane's Auto Deals back the day following the initial conversation and stated that he talked to someone that was very knowledgeable about the situation and he was very deeply sorry that he made the statements and complaints that he made thus far. No further action is needed at this time from either Kane's Auto Deals or the customer.
