Dropped my car off on Wednesday April 24th, for Transmission check. ****, the owner/mechanic called on the 26th and gave a quote of $3100 for new transmission. He required $1900 up front to order the transmission. On April 27th a ***** was sent to his wife *********************** at his request to purchase the transmission. He quoted 6 weeks for the service to be done. By June 10th, still had not heard from him, so called for status. After 5 days straight of no contact got a call stating there was electrical trouble with the garage door and it held back progress. One week later still no call or update. Around June 24th got a text message finally answering my many messages stating a mechanic had an accident and went to hospital. Held up work again. After much back and forth about getting my, car it was ready for test drive and pick up on July 22nd. Went to pick up the car. After the test drive, it was found to be smoking a little. Was told it was burn off from transmission. Told this was normal, but **** said to bring it back on Tuesday to recheck fluid. Paid the $900 balance for the job. On Tuesday called, no answer. Went by shop, not there. They had not seen him. Thursday no word. Driving home the car started smoking and all the trans fluid dumped out on the ground. Called and texted **** 20+ times and he finally sent him mechanic to my house. The mechanic stated the seals had busted on the transmission. **** says he was in ********, and would be over right away with new seals to fix. Never showed, never called. His mechanic took the car apart and left. Never came back. On 7/30 **** called to say sending a tow truck to take car back to the shop. Promised to make a priority. On 7/31 **** stated could not look at my car until Friday. I told him that it was not acceptable and I wanted my car back. About 45 minutes later a tow truck shows up to my house with my car, unfixed. **** sent a text stating " sorry things couldn't work out". My car is not fixed and he was paid.
