I would like to report a business in Perry, OH. We bought a puppy from her (Roberta K*****) advertised as AKC. "Grand River Poodles"....4349 Oregon St., Perry, OH 44081. The phone number listed is 440-218-0168. The puppy was born on 1-11-2022. I sent my daughter to get the puppy because he was a surprise for my husband. I gave my daughter, $2500.00 in cash. My daughter should have known to get a receipt but I think she was so excited over the puppy that she wasn't thinking clearly. She was also told by Ms K***** that the AKC papers would come in the mail. She didn't file for them yet. Now, remember, this was back in March. We have text after text telling us that the receipt and AKC papers would be here soon but they are not here as yet. A receipt would not be hard to provide - she could just write it on a piece of paper. I have texts from her that she acknowledges receiving the $2500 but no receipt has been sent. When asked, she states that we'll get them when she sends them. She also, after we told her we contacted the AKC ourselves and should have gotten the papers when we got the puppy, she responds with, "I will not be threatened." I have found complaints by others as far back as 2012 and they were all over not getting their AKC papers. Can you please help me with this matter? I have reached out to everyone I can think of. We are no longer interested in the paperwork. We believe the breeder, Ms K*****, has continued to commit fraud against innocent buyers. We think she registers some litters to stay in good standing with AKC but not all litters but she advertises all of them as AKC. If I didn't want an AKC puppy, I would have gone to a rescue shelter and gotten one. I am allergic to dogs so this is one reason I wanted a thoroughbred Toy Poodle and he (the puppy) has worked out well. We love him. Some people also sell pure Toy Poodles without AKC papers for a lot less money, but due to my allergy, I wanted to see if he had a pure bloodline.
