I had obtained a new job in a new city, so went to the leasing office to give a 30+ day notice that I would be breaking my lease as a result of employment in a new city. I told them that I understood what breaking a lease means in terms of my obligations. At this point, I was misinformed by the leasing office that due to breaking the lease, I forfeit 100% of my security deposit, and I still had to pay water/electric/gas until the apartment was re-rented. Due to this, I made the decision to not fully clean the apartment, because why bother, if you can’t get your money back. However, I was later informed this was incorrect, and had I cleaned the apartment, I would have gotten my security deposit back as well as the fact I don’t have to pay utilities. I had just called yesterday and spoke with *****, and she started making false accusations about having a pet (there was pet food in there because we moved in hoping to get a cat, and then when my roommate moved out he took the food because he did get a cat for his new apartment). Then, when I was trying to explain my side of everything, ***** threw out that I was rude to her co-worker (which I 100% was not, if anything, she was rude for misinforming me and not understanding her job or seeking clarification instead of making up an answer). ***** then called me a “disgruntled former tenant who broke their lease” when I asked to speak to her boss. The misinformation, lying, and defamation is beyond belief. And now the fact that my ability to stop paying rent when they re-lease the apartment hinges on two people who clearly don’t understand **** renter/rentee laws and provisions has me worried. I cannot identify what company owns ***** **** ******* **********, but would very much like an investigation into their tenant and renting practices. They also had me overpay by $110 for September rent, as that was the water bill portion I did not have to pay, and was given no explanation about a refund

Mr. ****** called BBB before he got our move out itemization, Which by law we have 30 days to mail out, it was mailed out on 9/20/22

Mr. ****** broke his lease, choose not to do the Buy Out of lease agreement !  Rents are still due for this unit until we get a new signed lease.

I did give Mr. ****** a credit for water paid of $110.00, which is reflected on itemization

I personally saw this unit,  Mr. ****** needs to maybe read his lease renewal he signed on 3/7/2022, which stated what he could be charged for

No cleaning was done !  At this time all charges stand.   The Balance of lease monies will be revised once a new lease has been signed for his

    unit *********

Turned in my keys on April 30 for apartment **** ***** ******* **., unit ****, T****** ** *****. I paid almost $800 a month to live there, which is outrageous, for what the apartment is worth. I spent weeks and days cleaning that apartment to make sure it was in pristine condition to get all of my security deposit back. I have not received any information regarding my security deposit, as I turned in my keys 27 days ago, or 26, whatever the math is, but I have not received back information regarding my security deposit and in the state of **** they have 30 days to return it. I have left multiple messages with the Whitehurst company, I called ********** Apartments as well which is where I was living, and they tell me that they are not at liberty to give out that information to contact the Whitehurst company directly. Which is very unprofessional and not OK. To the point where I am about to go and walk into the Whitehurst building. I gave them my address and all of the other information Nica possibly need to give me back my security deposit and still have not received it. I have called the Whiteherse company minimum **** times and left messages, and still have not heard back from them regarding where my security deposit is. I’ve called them consistently over the last two weeks, and the last thing I want to do is Continue to contact and make this a bigger issue than it ever should have been, but if I do not receive my security deposit or a DETAILED statement and information stating why I will move forward with what is recommended to me to get my Money back.

Not even gonna read this complaint !  Ms. ****** called me 3 times regarding her move out refund

She moved out on 4/30 !   She talked to the site Manager at ********** also and told her we had 30 days from the

time of move out, which Ms. ****** kept telling me also !  I have been doing this job for over

30 years and I don't need someone telling when something is due.  I know what the time limit is.

I do all move out the 3 week of the month.  This has not changed in 30 yrs either.

Ms ****** move out was mailed out on Monday, May 23, 2022.  Which is within the law.

And as long as she gave us a correct return address, she should get it by Friday, but who

can say in regards to the postal service.    Ms. ****** need to get a life!

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: of the rude and inappropriate statements made regarding me not having a life and my phone calls that had never been returned. Unprofessional and rude. I will not stand to be called names or told “to get a life”. I simply requested a phone call in return.

    Sincerely,

    ***** ******
