    On December 15, 2023, I sent in a case for a French oval carriage brass clock to have curved beveled glass installed. On May 18, 2024, I received a package of glass, but all sizes were too large for the clock I had sent. On May 25, 2024, I received the case, no glass installed, but another glass piece was broken. When the owner promised to complete the job, I sent the wrong-sized glass and case back on May 28, 2024. After not hearing from the business, on December 20, 2024, I received reimbursement from Paypal for the prepayment I had made. No phone call or email has been answered by the company to have the case returned, even if the job is not done.

    On July 31st Marc Konys agreed to repair 3 small chips in a very expensive Lalique crystal piece called "Lioness". Repairs were estimated at $180 to $260. I shipped and he confirmed receipt of the piece on 8/5/24. He said it would take approximately 4-6 weeks for the repair. 10/1 Marc said it would take 3-4 more weeks. 11/12 he said he was shipping the following week. 11/30 he said he would be shipping that week. He has not responded or corresponded since. The value of the piece used ranges from $500 to $999.

    My complaint is almost identical to all these others filed against this company. I sent photos of a small repair to the lid of a Baccarat canister. Marc responded and I sent the lid and later a check for $140 for the repair. Marc said the check never arrived so I sent him another. To be fair, neither has been cashed thus far. But he has not responded to numerous phone and email requests as to the status of my item. If he isn’t going to repair it, he should at least return it.

    A year ago I sent Marc ***** at Bruening Glass several antique Murano glass candlesticks and a footed bowl. They had been my grandmothers and are of both substantial monetary and sentimental value. In spite of literally tens of phone calls and e-mails I have never received them back, nor does Marc return phone calls or e-mails. I believe they have been fixed but have no way of knowing. I am beside myself. I am considering legal action but decided I would prefer to contact the BBB first before making a claim for theft of my property. I am 72 years old and ran my own business for 4 decades. Behavior at this level of irresponsibility and contempt for the concerns and feelings of clients is an insult to everyone who runs a decent business

    Antique Crystal decanter that is family heirloom was shipped to this business 8 months ago. I get no answer on phone call and no reply on email. He has my money and the decanter.

    I contacted Bruening Glass and ordered a custom piece of curved glass for a china cabinet. Marc called me to confirm the order and request payment. On November 21, 2023 Bruening Glass charged my credit card $360.00 to cover the cost of the glass, crating, and shipping. Marc requested a tracing of the curved glass, which I sent to him. He called me to tell me that he had received the tracing, it looked very good, and he would proceed to make the piece. In February 2024 I called and left a message asking where the piece of glass was. He returned my call and said that he had it done and would send it as soon as I paid for it. I reminded Marc that it was already paid for and then he apologized and said he no longer had a bookkeeper and it was hard for him to keep up with the financials. He promised he would ship the glass the following Monday. That never happened. I have called and left messages and send emails numerous times. When he does call me he always has some excuse about him working alone and that he is not very good with shipping. I have never received the piece. I finally requested a refund if he could not ship the glass but told him I would rather have the glass. At that point he quit returning any of my calls. That where it stands now. I paid him for the glass, he always promises to ship it, it is never shipped. I am out $360.00.

    I sent a paperweight to be repaired that has a $1000+ value in March and was promised to have it returned in 12-14 weeks. It is now well past that time frame and I am yet to hear any communication although I have tried to contact this business many times for an answer. I expect no refund for services rendered but am demanding my paperweight be returned.

    Marc Konys took our order and collected his fee but never shipped the product and never responds to calls and emails. No tracking number provide. It has been three months. No documents provided. All handled by phone.

    Apparently, Marc Bruening continues the same pattern of behavior. I sent him my Waterford crystal vase for repair last April. He said his lathe was broken so I wouldn’t get my vase back until summer. I have been calling, leaving messages plus sending multiple emails to no avail. I paid over $300 in April and have nothing to show for it. He seems to do this to most customers. How do I get my vase back?

    I reached out to Marc of Bruening Glass Repair via the website ********************* August 11, 2022 to inquire about the possibility of repairing a cracked pressed glass water pitcher. I received a prompt (same day) email response with the assurance the the glass pitcher could be fixed and with detailed packing instructions. The pitcher was sent to Mr. ***** and I received an email August from him that he had received the item. Payment was discussed. He requested a deposit prior to the start of work and a final payment upon completion. I was informed that it would take several months before the project was completed but that it would likely be completed by October. The deposit was made. I sent an email to check in on the status 11/30/22 and also called for follow up. I received no responses. The reviews stated that it took him "a long time" to complete the repairs but that he did a good job and so I was initially willing to wait. Since that time, I have reached out via the website again and called requesting the status of my item. I've even checked the obituaries to see if perhaps he had passed. I contacted him 7/19/24 stating I wanted both the deposit and vase returned. I have been dealing with a family members' illness and have been unable to address this issue. Additionally, I was hoping that he actually would follow through given the (initially) positive reviews.
