    I went to this business to purchase car audio for my car and during the whole transaction the only employee they had was a 20 year old kid that complained the whole time about how he hated working there and wanted to quit. After speaking with this gentleman I explained how what kind of audio I wanted and if he could install it as well. He went on to tell me that he's he could but I would have to come back the following week to have it done. I was asked to place a $500 deposit down before I left which I did. He never offered a receipt for this. I left and ended up remembering he didn't offer me a receipt and had to go back to request one. So come time for me to go back and get the audio installed, I pull up at 9a.m. to the business and it looked closed. I knock on the door and no answer, no cars parked there either. I leave and wait about an hour and start calling to see if anyone would answer and after about 8 or 9 times I still got no answer. So I went back up to the business and went instead to a car lot they own next door where I located one of the owners. I explained what was going on and I was there to get my audio installed in my car and that their employee never showed up to do it. He said he would try to get ahold of him and he would call me. I leave, go home and wait about 30 mins before he calls to tell me be there at 1p.m. to get it done. At 1p.m. I show up and I'm ready to get this over with. Their employee starts complaining about how I shouldn't have contacted his boss about this and I could have just came back tomorrow. Then goes on to tell me 5 different reasons as to why he couldn't do the install today! He didn't have the right stuff or I needed to buy this or that for him to be able to do it etc. So I ask him what can I do? He tells me try another car audio place maybe. So since I already put $500 down I had to buy the stuff from their store which was like $1700. I just believe that I'm owed a discount or something for the inconvenience.

           I called Mr. ******** today. In a brief conversation, I rehashed that we took a return on an amplifier and gave full credit against a more powerful amp. We also took a return of a speaker box that was broken because the bigger amp damaged it. The customer had been advised that if the new amp was cranked up, it had an increased chance of damaging that box. the damaged box was returned and full credit was given against a custom box. The original internals were moved to the custom box. No labor was charged to the customer. I also rehashed that I personally had offered to return the $500 deposit, but the customer wanted the Sundown speakers, etc. at this point, Mr. ******** hung up. Also, it should be noted that after receiving his custom box, Mr. ******** has not contacted the business or either of the owners for discussion.

    I am rejecting this response because: Yes Rob reached out to me today in regards to my complaint with the BBB and after trying to explain to him why I filed complaint he interrupted me several times to try and make up false scenarios about how he had tried to offer me this or that or had explained this or that in reference to the audio equipment I bought! I then ended the call and am now responding through the BBB. First off NO credit was ever offered to me! If by "credit" he means the money I had already invested then that is not credit! I was never offered anything but was told multiple times that I can always upgrade at the additional cost or difference between the new amp and new speaker box. I upgraded the amp because the one I originally bought I thought wasn't doing what it was supposed to or pushing enough power to the speakers. Come to find out the issue was the speaker box itself! It was defective and poorly made and had come apart on its own. When I bought it, I was told it was the best option and was good quality material. This was not the case. So I bought the new amp unaware that the box was defective. Then when his employee hooked up the new amp, IMMEDIATELY you could hear that the speaker box was defective! I then contacted the other owner Chris through Facebook and explained the situation. I asked if I could a new speaker box at which time he told me to come back the following day or so and he would swap it out no charge. A week late because there was a loss in his employees family, I went to swap the speaker box and at this time Chris told me that this would be the ONLY time he would do this! I said that it wasn't my fault he sold me defective stuff! He then went on to tell me how I should upgrade to a better box at a higher price. I asked Chris if I could possibly get a discount considering all of the issues I've had since day one at his establishment and he said no that he would not do that! So I ended up having to buy the new speaker box otherwise my audio equipment would not have worked the way it was supposed to! From day one I had nothing but issues, starting out from minor to more serious as things went along. In no way was I ever offered a discount or anything for my troubles! I was basically made to believe that what I originally bought was top notch products and it wasn't! Then because it wasn't I ended up having to spend even more money to get it all working properly! So no, sadly I am not satisfied with them reaching out to me because they offered no resolution to my concerns and actually were kind of rude. I was also told multiple times that basically if I don't like what they have to offer, that I could always go somewhere else! This of course after putting $500 down originally and about that, Rob never offered to refund me that money same day. I was told it could take 7-10 business days to get it. Which is why I went ahead and purchased the stuff in the first place.
