**** ******* of *** *** *** *** was recommended to us by ******* **** *****, to repair our hot tub. On 4/17/22 we paid him $400.00 cash to come to our house to fix it. He told us that we needed 2 manifolds at $400.00 each=$800.00 and 8 hours labor at $200.00/hour=$1600.00 to fix it. He said the total was $2200.00. He would not guarantee that it would not need more repairs after he fixed the manifolds. He gave us a receipt for $400.00 for the work that he did that day. He also gave us an estimate for the work that needed to be done. He said that when he received a cashiers check for $2200.00 he would order the parts and come to fix it when they arrived. We sent him a check for $2200.00 on 5/24/22. On 6/17/22 at 10:00am we were leaving our house when *** ******* arrived, unannounced, with another man. He said that he didn't need to get into our house to fix the problem and if he did not do the work now he could not come back for a month. We said do it now. When we came back at 2:30pm he was gone. There was no receipt, no note, no text or email to let us know what he did so we assumed that he had finished the job. On 6/26/22 we filled the hot tub and turned it on. Water came shooting out the back. We turned it off immediately. We talked to *** ******* on 6/29/22. He told us they could not move the hot tub so they did not put the 2nd manifold in. We told him we would move it. He did not say when he would be back. On 7/26/22 we talked to *** ******* again, he said something about the manifolds which did not make any sense. He said that on 6/17/22 he had another person with him which was $200.00/person or $400.00/hour X 4 hours=$800.00. We have no idea what they that day because we did not receive a receipt or any explanation at that time or ever. He said he was finished and he would not be back. He claims to be a professional, that he provides a detailed copy of a receipt after every service call. He did not finish the job or communicate with us
