I payed off my auto loan through First Bank of Ohio, in full for a total of $34,523.04 on 03/25/2024. This amount included a $99.00 early payoff fee. Which I accepted and paid.Generally when you pay off a vehicle loan, this should halt all pending payments, including autopay installments. Which was setup to reduce the monthly payment upon opening the loan in 2023.My wife saw a payment pending on April 11th for $622.98. So she called first bank of ohio to ask why this charge was pending, considering we had just paid the vehicle off. The customer service representative assured my wife that this payment would not go through, and the only reason it was pending was because we had overpaid on this loan by $61 and some change. Personally I don't know or care about the overpayment, as they sent us that check in the mail. Per the companies legal obligation. The $622.98 ended up charging our bank account per our statement on 04/12/2024.I then called the First Bank of Ohio on 04/15/2024 to inquire as to why we were charged the additional $622.98. I spoke with a representative named *****. She was polite but also mentioned on multiple occasions she had no idea why this happened, and placed me on hold a few times to seek advisement on how to handle the situation. She came back to tell me, we didn't cancel our autopayments, even though we were assured they were canceled. Long story short, she said she got my auto payments canceled, and that the money would be back in our account within the next 10 days. The money did not, and still has not made it back into my bank account. On 04/26/2024, I called back in for the third time, in an attempt to see what happened with my funds. To be *****, at this point I'm pretty upset about a bank, improperly handling our money. Which happens to typically be the sole focus of a banks services, handling money. I was told again the money should be there Saturday (04/27/2024). Still nothing. At this rate I am considering this theft.

What a horrible bank! We got a car loan through them to establish credit for my son. We linked his outside bank account to make payments each month a week before due date. My son received a NO PAYMENT notice about 8 months later with a $49 late fee attached. When I called, they told me that when we set up automatic withdrawal (ACH) from his account that we never specified how long we wanted to make auto payments, so they stopped it and let it lapse for a month. Have you ever heard of such crap!? It's a scam to get fees. No wonder that they have an "F" rating. We did everything right to establish my son's credit and this bank sabotaged it for non-payment that THEY caused and a penalty on top. I truly hope they will be investigated for fraud and go out of business for fleecing people.

The payments were setup on the online system that the customer did. Unfortunately, when they put in the end date for ***** 2024. With the last payment being setup for ***** the May payment was never taken out. But to fix the issue we waived the and no negative reporting was conducted for their credit.
