I tried to call to pay a bill, and couldn't get through. So I checked my bills through my provider and there is NO RECORD of me owing what APS asked for. What a SCAM!

Terrible Experience, Insurance was on file and active when I received a service at ***************. A year later they are sending me a bill saying insurance ask for refund, we refunded them, now they sent me that ****, why I was not notified at the same time, feels like a scam. Resolve all this kind of issue for everyone. This is totally unacceptable. Getting attorney for advice!

We apologize for any inconvenience. The patient contacted our office, and we explained the reason the statement was sent. The patient advised they would call their insurance company to investigate further.

This review is really a negative Star review.Lab Medicine Of Greater Tulsa has sent me a ******************************* Referral" 4 times this year demanding payment on 4 different billings. Each time I have verified the insurance payments and have found every time Lab Medicine Of ************* has not billed my insurances correctly. The billing notice on the ******************************* Referral" letter has no information on the date of service of the provider, no information of which and what insurances have been billed, no information on what the insurances have paid. Lab Medicine of ************* has been wrong on every instance.Yet, they are quick to send a threatening letter that they are turning my bill over to a collection agency "within 10 days" if I do not submit the (in)correct payment and threathen they are going to ruin my credit. This is a predatory, fraudulent business practice/process that they repeat frequently and it needs to stop.

We contacted the patient to review the claims and insurance information on file.  All claims are now at zero balance.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

I filed bankruptcy and notified them by phone and mail several times, as well as they were notified by bankruptcy court. Two months later they sent me a final demand letter. I called today and asked for a supervisor to discuss this and they hung up on me each time. That is illegal and has been reported to my attorney and the bankruptcy court as well as our AG's office.

Aug 15, 2024 I received a bill in the mail that said I had a balance of $155. I looked at my insurance *** (Explanation of Benefits) and it showed my portion was $0. I reviewed the numbers and I noticed my Adjusted amount on my *** was $2061.96 and on APS bill it said my Adjusted amount was $1906.95. Exactly $155 difference. I called them and they confirmed I was correct and they would take care of it. A couple days later I received a second bill for $42 for another procedure I had on a different day. Again, their Adjusted amount of $780.73 was different then the *** adjusted amount of $822.73 from my insurance company. I don't know how this could happen twice and it be a mistake. I feel like they are being dishonest. Luckily, I am very familiar with my bills and I look at everything very closely, but I know many people are very busy and assume their bills are correct.

10/26/23 - They send me a statement saying an insurance claim was filed on 10/25 and denied, so I owe about $300. A sentence on the back of the letter says it's not a bill and to wait for advice from my health care plan, so I ignore it and wait to hear from insurance. (Though it's not a bill, it has lots of instructions on how to pay and sure looks like a bill.)The letter gives me an address to write to if I believe it was an error, so I send a letter asking for details about the claim because I see no corresponding claim filed when I check my insurance's explanations of benefits. I never get a reply.11/27/23 - I receive another statement that says I must pay within 10 days or the account will be referred to collections. Lots of information about how to pay the $300, but there's still a line on the back that says "this is not a bill."12/19/23 - I receive a scary letter in red repeating that my account is going to be referred to collections. This time there is NO disclaimer clarifying that this is not bill.1/2/23 - I call my insurance. They say they received the claim on 12/28 (NOT 10/25) and approved it. So I actually owe about $10 and should wait for an updated statement from APS.Why did they send me multiple letters demanding pay and threatening collections before even filing the claim? The original statement said the claim was filed on 10/25, but this was false. Why are the letters formatted to look like bills when they are not bills? Why did this company change its name to PACIFIC PATH MEDICAL ASSOC? Why can't I find anything about Pacific Path? (The address is the same as APS and the statements link you to an APS site to pay.)I'm leaving this review so other customers know to ALWAYS talk to your insurance before you pay surprise bills, and also so there is evidence in case there is ever an investigation into this company.

I received a bill in the mail today for services that were rendered on 8/2022. There is a law against surprise billing and to say I'm surprised is an understatement. I have paid all my hospital bills from that hospital stay and now they send it to and are going to try and charge my insurance when they were the ones that held on to the bill. I work in medical billing and know that if you don't bill the patient or the insurance after a year YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE AND HAVE TO WROTE IT OFF!

On 10/23/2023, I received a threatening collection letter from APS Medical Billing, stating that I owed $65.25 to Pathology Services ************* further stated in very large bold font:This is a final attempt to collect on an unpaid debt. Our records show that your account is delinquent. In order to maintain a good credit record, your payment is required immediately.Without your payment, this account will be assigned to our collection agency within ten (10) days. If this account becomes credit reported, it can remain part of your credit profile for ten years. We have no desire to take this drastic step; however, you are leaving us with no choice by not paying. You should call to arrange for payment for this debt; your credit can be a very valuable asset. This was the first letter or contact made on this bill. I called the number, let them know this was the first contact. We ended by agreeing she would follow up with their billing team and Medico, and I would get the *** from Medico (aka Wellabe). The Wellabe *** showed ******* was responsible for the payment and my responsibility was $.00. I called Pathology Services of ********************************* I told APS what the *** stated & asked to speak to a billing manager; they sent me into an automated loop that I could only escape through disconnecting. I called Pathology Services of Kalamazoo back to let them know that I was getting a run around but still wanted to get to the bottom of this, they are calling APS to see if they can get this resolved.Your BBB rating is a shocking A-, even with the average customer rating of **** out of 5 stars; there are many similar complaints. Could please look more into the complaints of customers and not just accept the response from the business. Im sure that there are other frustrated and threatened customers that *** not take the time to investigate and just pay the bogus bills because they are afraid of having their credit ruined.

WORST company ever!!!!!! I have called them 3 times to figure out why I owe them money and they always state we will rebill the insurance because it doesn't look like they have paid. I have looked at all my UHC EOB's and it's funny that I can not find the dollar amount that they have billed or the amount that they state that I owe them. I have now been sent to collections and have called them once again and now no one can help because it was sent to collections. I called the insurance company and they can't seem to figure out why I owe so much either. I will fight this to no end!!!! Plus what my insurance company is stating what I owe them is different from what they are billing me. I will be filing an appeal no one should have to do all of this just to pay what is actually owed!!
