On April 4, 2024 the customer purchased a 2019 Ram with 102,151 miles on it.  At the time the customer purchased a extended service contract.  In June of 2024, the truck was brought into service for a ticking noise.  Once we determined what the noise was, a repair was done on one side of the V6 engine.  This repair was covered under the service contract and we waived the deductible so that there was no cost to the customer.  In July of 2024, the truck was brought back in for a ticking noise.  After working with the customer to identify the noise, it was determined that the other side of the V6 engine needed to have the same repair done.  This repair was covered under the same service contract.  The customer requested to be gotten out of the truck.  He was informed that we can trade him out of it, but that we needed to have the right truck that would work in order to get bank approval.  The only other thing that would help is money down, which the customer was not interested in.  The customer asked for us to buy the truck back.  I informed him that I was unable to do so based on the payoff amount on the truck.  I also informed the customer that we will fix the truck under warranty and get it back into his hands as fast as possible.

I asked my local ***** dealership to diagnose my vehicle air-conditioning system blowing hot air. They diagnosed it and said it was a bad valve on the firewall. Then they offered me ***** credit card to save money on the service. I was told the total repair cost to me would be around $300 with credit card discounts. I said I will pay $300. if my air-conditioning will be fixed. They said yes we diagnosed it. I was approved for the credit card and told to come back when the part is in stock for repairs. I return later when part is in stock . I wait four hours for service repairs. During repairs I see a large exhaust pipe hanging down from service bay ceiling, that is rubbing against the side of my tall promaster van while being serviced. I assumed it was safe and padded. It was not, it left three foot wide scrape marks on the side of my van. I was told to pay with my ***** credit card and they charged me $558.03. That's not what I was told. I am tired of waiting and still trusting them at this point I just want to get home so I haven't started questioning anything yet. So I leave driving home air-conditioner still blowing hot air, nothing was fixed. Plus the service guy left a nasty body odor smell in my vehicle and he unplugged my dash security camera. I call the ***** dealer as soon as I get home and tell them it is not fixed . It still blows hot air. They claim it worked for service guy and they stand behind the charges. I dispute the charges with the ***** credit card company. They tell me to get a company written letter head agreeing with me. I go around to three different service shops, they all agree with me but refuse to get involved further. Then the credit card company tells me I have to work it out with the merchant. I already tried three different times to talk to the merchant, the service manager never leaves his desk to manage but he stands behind his service and he told me to leave so he could finish eating his food at his desk.

We are aware of the service concerns that the customer has.

First, we requested that the customer bring the van in so that we could inspect the scratches on the van and if we were responsible, we would handle fixing the problem.

Second, the air conditioning repair worked with the H Valve replacement.  The Valve was leaking and was detected by using dye in the system.  After that replacement, the AC Compressor will now not engage but had to fix the leak at the valve in order to have a sealed system.  When the system became sealed, it now shows the compressor as needing to be replaced.  We offered to look at the van a second time at no charge in order to verify the problem.  At that time, we could give the customer options on what we can do to fix the air conditioning.

He has refused to bring the van back for us to look at either problem.

Our offer still stands, that we will look at the van in order to assess the 2 complaints that the customer has.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  My response to each one of there statements is as follows. Wrong they never requested to return. Wrong they never offered to acknowledge the scratches. Wrong they never showed me a working A/C  system. Wrong you would have been able to diagnose a bad compressor at the same time as you did the valve. Failure to diagnose correctly . Wrong they never offered to look at the van. They always declared they are right, and told me to leave all three times I stopped in. Wrong I stopped in three times after the issue.

    Sincerely,
