1 starThis company has the worst shipping service I've ever experienced. They constantly tell you it's on the way and then it never shows up. As I read the reviews below I'm kicking myself from ordering with them.Review fromGeorge F

1 starDont bother with Frontgate. They lure you in with a great website and excellent design. Theyre very good at collecting your order. Delivery is quite another matter. Delivery can be pushed back. Part, or all, of what you ordered could get cancelled (think dining table with no matching chairs). While youre wondering what's going on, all you get is silence. Call them, promises, silence, no delivery. Oh, and they wont take back whats already been delivered. I believe they take orders and shop those orders for manufacture. If they cant find a manufacturer that will make the product in a timely manner and an acceptable cost, they simply cancel your order. 1 starI ordered the Pasadena 11 collection last year with covers and with a fire table. Products are good but the problem I am having is to replace 2 back cushions that a squirrel or chipmunk destroyed over the winter, Frontgate requires you to order a complete section which cost $1,119.20. That is a little expensive for 2 back cushions that they could work out with the manufacture to order any amount of cushions you need to replace. I have been a very good customer of Frontgate for years but now will reconsider when ordering in the future.Review fromMatthew T

1 starAs you can clearly see by the multitude of comments, this is a terrible company to do business with. They are very big into bait and switch scam tactics. I have purchased from them before and thanks to my own stupidity I went back again. This is now the 3rd time in a row they have pulled the bait and switch tactic on me and it will be the last. I was in the store and was interested in buying some outdoor furniture. The sign said all outdoor furniture was on sale for 50% of the tagged price. There were dozens and dozens of items on the floor in this category. There was one outdoor couch in the front of the store as well. The sign said no further discounts applied. As they were also running an additional 10% off sale if you brought in a piece of clothing I assumed you would only get one discount. I asked the person at the desk if the 10% also applied to the 50% discount and his answer was yes.I went home and measured to verify it would fir since they do not take returns. The following day I drove the hour back to buy the items with my trailer in tow. When I asked to purchase it I asked again if the 10% discount would go on top of the 50% discount. The employee said the item wasn't on the 50% sale. I asked how it couldn't be as it was clearly outdoor furniture. His answer was it was "new" and everything else was used. This is an OUTLET store, why would I need to ask about every item to verify it was new or used. I said there is nothing that states it doesn't apply. He showed me a little note that said further discounts didn't apply. This was why i had asked the guy the day before. Further more it was not even on sale. On the Frontgate website it had the same item on sale for $300 less! Talk about poor customer service! Not only do they lie (as they did the past 3 times) about items being on sale, they actually charge more then their own website! For a premium brand they have 1 star customer service. 1 starAlthough the dresser we purchased from Frontgate is pretty, I would not recommend purchasing that dresser or any other furniture from Frontgate due to significant issues with delivery and quality issues regarding the furniture. Frontgate contracted with ** **** to deliver the dresser. Dealing with ** **** was beyond frustrating due to successive no-shows and difficulty with rescheduling the delivery on a timely basis. It took four delivery attempts to finally get the dresser delivered. I contacted Frontgate repeatedly due to the problems with delivery and problems with rescheduling. Frontgate representatives expressed ‘sympathy’ for the delivery problems but did not appear to actually ‘do anything’ to achieve a timely resolution. We spent way too much time dealing with ** ****. Online reviews of Frontgate reveal similar complaints and excessive negative reviews of ** **** made us question why Frontgate would even contract with them. We have had many large items delivered to our home over the years and never experienced anything like this. After the dresser we purchased was finally delivered, and after the delivery men drove away, we noticed that all the drawers were noticeably uneven. Each drawer on one side was pushed against the dresser frame, while the other side had a relatively large gap. The drawers did not self-close, and each drawer rubbed lightly against the frame when pushed. We analyzed, repositioned the drawers, and finally leveled the drawers with thin strips of cardboard. I determined that the dresser looked satisfactory with the cardboard under each drawer. Based on our exasperating experience with delivery, I decided not to bother contacting Frontgate to request a different dresser. I just submitted a two-star review on Frontgate’s website. I regret that I gave them two stars, one star was more than enough for a flawed, overpriced dresser that cost above $3k.Review fromLynette H

1 starVERY disappointed in deceiving description of Christmas wreaths. No where on the website does it use the words "artificial" or "fake". Was in a hurry to find a company that ships live Christmas wreaths to ******, so I chose one that was about the same price as live ones. I thought it strange that I couldn't choose ship date (I wanted it AFTER Thanksgiving). I called the day after I ordered it, realizing it must be fake. I was told it was too late and that it had just shipped. I spent over $100 for a product I don't want and a disappointed recipient. 1 starI paid $9,000 for what I thought would be high quality outdoor teak furniture, the ******* "teak" sofa, chairs, and table with "waterproof" cushions. Within eight weeks in an arid climate, the furniture and cushions both developed mold that would not come out of either. I had a woodworker at my house for another purpose and he told me that these pieces were not made of teak at all but a different wood (possibly poplar or iroko from Africa). Beyond that, there are cuts in the legs of the sofa where a completely other kind of wood has been glued in. On the plus side, Frontgate eventually—after a fair amount of back-and-forth—refunded me the money and picked up the furniture at their expense but this whole thing was a great disappointment and hassle. No apology, no acknowledgement that they are are selling a different product than advertised. Their product "specialists" don't know anything useful about the product and could not tell me whether they have any actual teak products or not, insisting only that all their teak is "Grade A" (it clearly is not Grade A, and is not authentic teak).Review fromSue K

I ordered from this company before and they charged me the wrong tax rate, and there was no refund on what they overcharged me. Now I have another item I would like to buy from them and they sent something out saying it was “free shipping“ but when I went to close out, it had shipping costs. So I called Customer Service and she said oh that’s not shipping. That’s truck delivery so it’s not free. What a scam! This company just does not care about customer service.Frontgate Catalog

Front gate outlet is quite a drive for me. So I made a special trip, among other things, I picked up a $50 box of wine glasses that were in a big pile, and packaged in plain cardboard boxes with an image of a wineglass. I did not even consider that the colors were different. By mistake ( a very innocent mistake) I grabbed the wrong color ( ***** ) not knowing! Very opposite of the beautiful silver color needed. So, living out of town it was late getting home. I realized that evening, after opening the card board box the mistake I had made, as the boxes are not clearly marked. So, first thing next morning, I called and spoke to ****, the store manager, as soon as the store opened. I told **** of my mistake and ask if I could drive down and switch for the color I intended to get. shockingly and sadly **** told me NO. Instead, **** tried to up-sale me.**** ask me to drive in and buy another set and just gift my mistake. I wasnt ready to be up sold, ****. The right thing for **** to do, would have been to allow me to grab the correct color. **** there are very innocent mistakes that folks make and I believe you could have easily let me grab the correct cardboard box of wine glasses. I know ****, dont even bother to say it I dont make the policies But hey we reap what we sew and soon Im sure that you too, will make an innocent mistake and pay a price. Normally we would always want you to inspect all merchandise prior to checking out to ensure that there is no damage but also so that you are receiving the actual merchandise you desire.
