1 starDo yourself a favor and avoid Ardent Communities specifically Fieldstone Trace at all costs. Ive never experienced such blatantly careless customer service in all my years of renting. For starters, management completely ignores resident emails even when theyre about urgent issues like broken appliances, billing errors, or maintenance concerns. You can follow up multiple times and still get radio silence. It's as if once they have your lease and rent, you stop mattering altogether. Most recently, their online payment portal where we pay $1,700/month in rent went down without warning. No email. No courtesy message. No notice. Just a broken system on the first of the month and no idea whether your money was processed or lost. When I called in concerned, I was literally laughed at by their staff. *******. As if it was funny that my rent payment might be floating in cyberspace, or that I was worried about being late for something that was entirely on them. What kind of professional response is that? The Better Business Bureau has them rated 1 out of 5 stars, and honestly, that feels generous. Its not just me do a quick search and youll see dozens of residents with the same complaints: unresponsive staff, poor communication, maintenance issues left unresolved for weeks, and an overall attitude that residents are nothing more than rent checks. The units themselves might look decent, but thats where the positives end. If you value being treated with respect, having transparent communication, and not being mocked for caring about your finances steer clear. Ardent Communities has made it very clear they do not care about their residents.Review fromPedro T

1 starI WILL NEVER RENT AN APARTMENT FROM ARDEN TRUST EVER AGAIN. SLUM LORDS , nothing but Roaches, Mice, very poor upkeep on property. I was living in ********************************************************************* Not only did they try to charge more rent before the lease was up so that is illegal. But they also never fix anything on time, the stairs are falling apart. Absolute slum lords. Please i have tried to report them multiple times. They didn't fix a window that allowed the Cold air to come into the house with my 7 month old child at the time. Please i know the cheap rent is enticing but it will cost you more in the long run. NEVER WORK WITH THEM AGAINReview fromDonald M

1 starMe and my husband applied at Victoria Manor of Stelzer road in Columbus Ohio what I can say is that they don’t want black I’m there community at all me and my husband both have good paying jobs and good credit score and was told we didn’t meet credit qualifications, now mind you the Manager told me if you don’t have a 575 the deny you automatically. Now mind you when I spoke to a different leasing agent she said she didn’t see why we got denied and that they couldn’t work with us. But we are good on them we found a new place besides I can’t live in a place that doesn’t want black in there newer communities. They actually get a zero starReview fromWhittney M.

1 starIf I could give zero stars I would. I visited Waldren Woods as a walk in with my children and asked to tour a 2 bedroom. The manager was less than friendly. She told me that I’d have to wait because she was double booked. So we waited in the clubhouse while she walked the other family over. She came back and asked me what I was looking for and I told her a two bedroom, she then Told me “ you can walk over there, it’s open”. My first thought was, can I not get the same courtesy as the last guests?Especially since no one was there… but I walked over with my children. I came back and asked all of the pertinent information about rental requirements. She mentioned income, credit, rental and background. I asked if they required a specific credit score because I was recently a victim of identity theft. She said no. Fast forward to Monday when I submitted my application online. The leasing agent reached out to me and said I didn’t income qualify. I know this was incorrect. I have her pushback and did the math for her. After reviewing it again she corrected herself to tell me that I did income qualify. Then she asked me for 2 forms of ID. I thought this was strange because typically one form of ID is fine. I did push back again because I was told by another agent only 1 form was good and I lists 1 on the website. But I provided her what she needed. She claimed that the company started requiring 2 forms of ID last year. Then the next day she proceeds to send me a denial letter per my credit score. Mind you I asked the manager is there was a score needed and throughly scoured the fine print before applying. At this point I feel like they pick and choose who they want living in their community based on who they want and not the actual qualifications. I feel this “fictional” credit requirement was pulled out of a hat to decline me. They discriminate against black single mothers.Review fromDontae B

1 star*********************** is the regional manager of ardent communities , she is rude and doesnt have the common decency to return phone calls but tells the rental manger to contact the tenant even if you leave a message for her . The apartment is very poorly constructed you can hear every step from your neighbors, I could even here my neighbors taking a bath, not running water literally I could hear my neighbors above me moving bath water when I walked in my bathroom . Again very cheaply constructed apartments and management is HORRIBLE. *********************** is a terrible human being .Review fromGuillermo A

1 starexcept for a few individuals at the Ardent Brookhaven (*******, **) location who are kind (one, in fact) most I dealt with are either rude or TOO slow in answering your questions/requests. Although, they are quick fast to charge your account by mistake. The system is mostly ON LINE and AUTOMATIC.to put it straightforwardly, it is like flying a low cost airline. it is all done online and you are treated. like cattle.if you are entertaining ARDENT as your management company, RUN.Review fromKristen H

1 starI would leave ZERO stars if that was an option. The Mgmt at Woodfield Park is rude at best. ******** and **** have no business being in a people facing role. They delivered an important document to my door instead of sending it via email or having me pick it up at the office. Totally unprofessional people.Review fromJane P

1 starDO NOT LIVE IN ARDENT PROPERTIES! DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK! If there was a ZERO star, I would give Ardent Communities. I moved to NorthPark Place in 2014 so that my boys could attend the highly rated Olentangy SD. My oldest was 10 and my youngest 4. My rent was very affordable for the area and the apartment was clean and cozy with 2 swimming pools. I have had 3-4 managers come through in those 8 years and I have never ever had any issues with any of them whatsoever. They were all nice and respectful. This year, a ***************************** became the manager of the NorthPark Place community. Even before she was here one month, she was attacking and disrespecting my now 11-year-old son because he was playing outside with his rib stick, something he had done numerous times before this ***** became manager. I unequivocally told her never to speak to my son. I also told her that she had absolutely no right to reprimand MY CHILD! If she had a problem with him, to talk to ME, at which point she started telling me that its a lease violation. Mind you, I have lived here for 8 years, and I have never had any manager complain about my son. When I told her that my son was a good and respectful boy, she rolled her eyes and said, thats what you think. Well, if he is breaking community rules and violating the lease, why havent YOU told me about it! Who gives you the right to reprimand MY CHILD! I renewed my lease in July 2022 because since my oldest son is going to college, I wasnt sure if I wanted to stay or move out. Every single year Ive renewed my lease for 12 months, I have received a free carpet cleaning. I decided to stay one more year so that my younger son could attend 6th grade in the **** system. So, I emailed this Megan ***** to request a carpet cleaning at which point she sent me a contract to sign, that if I moved out before the 12-month duration, I would owe them $150! I have renewed my lease 8 times and I always received a free carpet cleaning without ever signinReview fromRachel M

1 starPlease do yourself a favor and DO *OT MOVE TO ****************** I* ********* ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDRE*. From the first week we have had nothing but issues regarding sound. I have been sending emails and video of the noise, I have been personally to the office because I had enough of them not responding to me. My kids play and do things during the day, never during inappropriate times yet our downstairs neighbor has the audacity to come to our door sometimes hours later at 10 pm when its dark to come and give us a talking to and bangs non stop on our floor. Mind you these same guys are up all ours of the night slamming doors, hammering, music, company over being so loud then want to sleep ALL DAY and want my kids to sit in silence so they can do so. Then the nightmare continues the upstairs neighbor ALL HOURS OF THE ***** walks like an elephant, slams doors, drops heavy items, moves furniture, even has built furniture with a hammer at 1 am!! We have heard urinating, ***********, conversations, you name it! It has been a living H*** With what we pay for luxury you would think they would put sound barriers in the floor. *ope everything slapped together, nails popping out, paint strokes galore. And guess who will foot the **** when the lease is up, all of us! Parking, HA, what a joke you come home late you are screwed and will be walking from a whole other area. The pool, GHETTO, people bring huge party speakers and blast vulgar music with sexual talk, cursing and the * word. All in front of children. Even someone rolling blunts and liquor bottles and a hookah. I have also seen gas and charcoal grills even on my downstairs neighbors patio, FIRE HAZARD!! They dont enforce the important things thats for sure. I have videos and email evidence to pack everything up! STAY AWAY, TRUST ME!
