I just had this done on 11/18/24. They charge a $900 tune up fee along with the application. After they were done I could see they did not use any kind of blower to clean the roof. I still have sticks sitting by my dormers. I also saw on their web site how they say the clean the black streaks and then do the applications, this also did not happen. He was here just about an hour. For the cost I am not sure this is worth it.

We have been communicating with Mr. ******* The debris on the roof and the caulking issues have been addressed. As for removing the black streaks ( algae ) on the roof, we do not make this claim in our marketing. Mr. ****** asked our dealer before the Roof Maxx treatment if it would remove the algae and was told no. He decided to move forward with the treatment. At that point, he should have stopped and not proceeded, not after the fact.

I am a licensed roofer in *********. Stay away from this scam. I was just at a Home Show where Roof Maxx was trying to sell their product. They were completely lost with my questioning. They told me their product water proofs the roof. Shingles don't waterproof a roof the underlayment does. They said they had a 5 year warranty. I asked how they can do that when they are not roofers. In ********** you need a C39 to be a Roofer. Roof Maxx carries a B License this avoids the mandatory ********* comp roofers are required to carry. Some of the franchises for Roof Maxx carry a C33 (Painting and Decorating). This has nothing to do with roofing. Roof Maxx said they like to coat roofs when they are newer. Here is the biggest part they missed. They void the Manufacturers Warranty and the 10 years from the contractor. Roof Maxx could not answer the question when I called my *** from ****** and GAF right in front of them and the Manufacturers said you will void our warranty. So Roof Maxx will come out spray a chemical on your roof and change your 30 plus warranty into a 5 year warranty. It won't be long until the **************** ************* and the ******************************* shuts this con down.

Thank you for the opportunity to address the concerns in the commenters post (non-customer). As an initial matter, Roof Maxx DOES NOT void any manufacturers warranty. For example, GAF (the largest shingle manufacturer in *************) has emphatically stated this in its Technical Bulletin TAB-R-151.The Bulletin asks, Is my warranty affected if I apply a field coating to my GAF asphalt roofing shingles? The answer included in the Bulletin: No, the *********** Warranty for the shingles will remain in effect. Roof Maxx has evaluated every major shingle manufacturer's warranty and confidently concludes that our product does not void ANY shingle manufacturers warranty. Roof Maxx is so confident that its product does not void ANY shingle manufacturers warranty that it will defend any property owner (at our sole cost) for any manufacturer's denial of their shingle warranty (due to Roof Maxx). It should be noted that the Roof Maxx Warranty is still valid EVEN IF your manufacturer's warranty is (or becomes) void due to time, transfer restrictions, or any of the other countless exceptions to these manufacturers warranties.Next, California law clearly defines what Roofing includes (and who needs to be licensed). A Roof Maxx treatment DOES NOT qualify or meet the definition of Roofing according to California Law - 16 CA Code of Regs ******. Therefore, no Roofing license is required for product installers. Roof Maxx is an environmentally friendly solution (non-membrane) that penetrates asphalt shingles to provide adequate operating flexibility. Our Warranty expressly excludes any leak-free, water or weatherproofing claim or guarantee.Roof Maxx provides a safe, effective, affordable solution to expensive, disruptive, and often unnecessary roof replacement. Roof Maxx enjoys over 10k+ Reviews nationwide with a composite rating of 4.9+ (*********************). We have treated over *********** square feet of asphalt shingles (since 2017) and have substantial long-term relationships with The *********************, the ********************* the ********************* the **** (Certified Bio-Preferred and Mandatory Federal Purchasing), the ********************* Foundation for Adoption, and many other industry leaders.
