      Upon receipt of this Better Business Bureau Complaint, we have reviewed the membership file. Ms. Scroggins
      cancellation request was received and immediately implemented. The refund request was under review. Ms.
      Scroggins used the services for two intakes during the month she had the membership. Ms. Scroggins received a
      pro-rated refund of $5.98 based on the date the cancellation request was received. No further refund is due.

      Legal shield charged my account five times without my consent on July 1st 2024, and I have reached out to more than one individual in regards to this situation with no response from legal shield. I also had to go to my bank and close the account so that ********************** could not continue to post charges to my account and file a dispute of the charges which have not been resolved totaling $187.57 including fees for an account that had insufficient funds for transactions they continued to charge without my authorization or any written consent. I would also like to note that I did not, and have not filed any written documentation with this company, and have also not given electronic consent in any way shape or form to legal shield and did not authorize these transactions.

      Upon receipt of this Better Business Bureau Complaint, we have reviewed the membership file. PPLSI received
      a web application through an associate site on June 27, 2024, with all of Mr. ******* information on it. The
      application was for a LegalShield membership, an IDShield membership, and an Associate Agreement. The
      three charges shown in the screenshot attached to this BBB complaint are for each of these. When these
      applications were submitted, authorization for payment was given. PPLSI has no record of any communications
      received from ****************. If **************** would like to cancel his memberships and associate agreement, he may
      do so by emailing ************************************ or responding to this BBB complaint stating that he would like
      to cancel some or all of the memberships.

      Im a class A CDL holder and I was referred to legal shield services as a way to protect my CDL in case of traffic violations that could damage my license, I caught some speeding tickets in my personal vehicle and sought legal shield to assist in this matter since I was paying for there membership, well I was convicted of all traffic violations none was reduced due to the court applying the anti masking law where they couldnt reduce my traffic violations so my CDL was disqualified and the speeding tickets were on my record so if I did get my CDL back I wouldnt be able to get hired by any trucking company in the future. Legal shield false advertised they could protect my CDL and because of this Im no longer eligible to drive trucks

      Upon receipt of this Better Business Bureau Complaint, we have reviewed the membership file. The Provider
      Law Firm consulted with the member on her legal matter and provided a Referral Lawyer for further assistance.
      The member opened a duplicate intake through which she tried to submit documents for review. The Provider
      Law Firm did not receive these documents. The member had a member resolution file opened and the Provider
      Law Firm attempted to reach her to resolve her concerns, however, their attempts to reach the member were
      unsuccessful. LegalShield has already received Ms. Fennell’s written request to cancel and her refund request
      will be reviewed.

      I am going to give you an example:

      Let us say I set up an insurance company and contract with a Doctor to provide medical services. I charge consumers a monthly fee of $xx to be able to get medical treatment from the CONTRACTED DOCTOR. The client goes to the doctor and the doctor is UNABLE TO CHECK THE BLOOD PRESSURE OF THE PATIENT/CLIENT. 

      The client goes to the insurance company that OVERSOLD the services of the contracted Doctor and says too bad. We will not refund what you paid as membership dues just cancel your membership if you want effective now.

      Did I receive 4 years worth of membership dues paid for the 2 lines that I wanted to be edited? 

      I paid a local attorney who billed me $480 for a partial hour and gave me the necessary edits.

      membership. When a member chooses not to use the services, they do not get a refund for that month. The

      The assigned attorney -- ***************************** was unable to edit two lines of text.

      He offered a value opinion but no edits.

      I am not asking for a refund of the month of ************************ conversation with me. I am asking for refund of having paid since July 2020 to date. 

      This is going around in circles -- Can ************ please review what the original request was that ******************** was unable to fulfill?

      i signed up with LegalShiled/Prepaid legal with a promise of multi-page document review.

      The two lines I requested for legal edit were not illegal to begin with. I just wanted safety legally before placing them on a marketing postcard.

My account has continued to be billed through April 2024 (only a May 2024 payment was returned). When I reached out I was told I hung up after my request for cancellation.       submitted a reinstatement request in July 2023. The membership is still active today. The pdf Mr. ******
      submitted shows the response from LegalShield’s Member Service. It also states that Mr. ****** had recently
      reinstated the membership. Since the email thread submitted to the BBB, LegalShield has not received any
      communication from Mr. ****** at the home office. If Mr. ****** wishes to cancel the LegalShield
      membership, he may do so by emailing Member Services or responding to this BBB complaint requesting
      cancellation.

      I could not cancel because I did not have access to the subscription like I said in the email document they had referenced.

      This letter is in response to the above referenced individuals complaint.

      The email **************** attached shows that Member Services responded to his email with instructions to access
      the online member portal. Access to the member portal is not necessary to utilize the LegalShield membership.
      Members may call the Provider Law Firm to open intakes. When **************** submitted the reinstatement
      request, he gave permission for PPLSI to draft his account until he revokes that authorization. PPLSI requires a
      written request to cancel and cancellation cannot be done through the mobile app or member portal. Receipts for
      each payment are not now and have never been sent to members. Per this BBB complaint, Mr. ********************* has been cancelled and one payment is being refunded.

      I am rejecting this response because: The automated reply to my email did not address the issue, which was NOT a login issue. My subscription did not show up AFTER logging in.

      No services were rendered and I was completely unaware that this company has been charging me a subscription due to their lack of receipts or any communication.

      This response was nothing but a bad faith excuse for theft.

I was charged simply because I share the same surname as this person. I am of no relation to this person. I reside in an entirely different state and have never heard of them. Someone in corporate made an assumption and linked the accounts together. Whether or not business tried to resolve: I have spoken to five customer service reps and a supervisor and written an email to no avail. They acknowledge the mistake but have not refunded me my money. My account number: *********** Not ad related.

      Upon receipt of this Better Business Bureau Complaint, we have reviewed the membership file. PPLSI received
      an application for an IDShield membership with the members name and information. The IDShield membership
      the member was paying for was their own. The associate that sold the member the IDShield plan has the same
      last name. Memberships are not linked based on last name alone. Payment is also made from the payment
      information provided on the application. As a courtesy, PPLSI has refunded two payments for the IDShield
      membership.

      Upon receipt of this Better Business Bureau Complaint, we have reviewed the membership file. The member
      has been enrolled since December 2022 and has received assistance on more than 20 intakes during that time.
      Most recently, the member was given a referral for the legal matter, and when they were not satisfied with that
      referral, a second referral was given. The member sent a written request to cancel the LegalShield membership
      on May 28th. The membership was paid to May 26th, thus no refund is due.

      LegalShield responded to my request without providing any legal advice. Legalshield representatives are not in compliance with the services they claim to provide. The referrals have failed in compliance as well. This is a scam an unorthodox pyramid scheme. Every claim that I made has been a conflict of interest When I provide state statutes that have been violated they act in defense of the parties I'm in conflict with. ************************* the last referral provided by LegalShield told me the truth behind the scheme of legalshield after he stole $150 from me for a consultation that provided no information except for a phone number to EEOC that I already had prior to talking to him. My credit card company made him refund the money for failure to provide services. DSK LAW FIRM provided by LegalShield is responsible for this issue. The services provided by LegalShield has placed me in a situation of doing business with crooks. I didnt give my money to DSK I gave my money to LegalShield who charged me for a service I could provide to myself. The customer is always right, so please make things right. Nothing was provided except an array of confusion.

      LegalShield has received one complaint about a Referral Lawyer from the member in April 2024. The complaint
      was promptly addressed and a different Referral Lawyer was provided. Every intake starts with the Provider
      Law Firm and may be referred to a Referral Lawyer after the initial consultation. Members continue to receive
      their LegalShield benefits with the Referral Lawyer. When a Provider Lawyer provides consultation on a matter,
      the advice provided may not be what the member wishes to hear. No refund is due and LegalShield considers
      this matter closed.
