      06/11/2022 We hired B & H Outdoor Services to tear down our old fence and replace it with a horizontal one. At first the owner Hayden Huss appeared very helpful and friendly. He asked for $4000 up front for materials to start the job. When the project was nearly complete, he asked for payment in full and said he would return to fix a crooked, unlevel gate and cut posts to the level of the rest of the fence. When we text him, he became extremely aggressive and rude. He posted this job on Facebook using a last name and picture of our house. We did not endorse this promotion and asked him to remove it but he refuses. After researching B and H Outdoor Services to include the Better Business Bureau, we found that this is not an isolated problem but rather an ongoing problem in which they collect money and do not finish the work.

      We contacted Hayden Huss on 3/6/22 for an estimate for a new gate and adding cinder blocks to an existing wall. We agreed on a price of $1800 for making and installing a 4.5 inch thick cedar gate and building up the wall. We gave him $900 to get started. He brought the gate over and it was too small and short for the opening, the lock was not even close to secure, the gate did not match up to the lock opening, and the wood was thinner pieces of wood that had been attached together to make it thicker. This was not at all what we were expecting and we told him that, nicely. He did build up the cinder block wall, but he stacked the cinder blocks directly on top of each other instead of staggering them like the rest of the wall so it doesn't look right. He also did not go all the way to the house like the rest of the wall. It looks like I tried to fix it, not professional at all. I stupidly went ahead and gave him another $500 thinking he would be back with a suitable gate. We gave it over a week and never heard from him. We are slow, but we started realizing that he had no intention of coming back. We called him and suggested that he just refund the $900 and we would move on. Hayden agreed. As soon as he hung up, he sent me a nasty text. I immediately called him to talk and he refused to answer. It has now been a couple of weeks and still nothing from him except a text that says, "see you in court." I am trying to avoid court by giving this a try. I have attached pics of the wall before and what was added. I failed to take any pics of the undersized gate and Hayden took it, so we have nothing for that money. We are only asking for $900 of the $1400 back, which I feel is way more than fair considering there has been no attempt on his part to make this right.
