1 starEvery time that I call, I get a different response. Money was cashed from my bank account but not applied to my mortgage. When reconciling with them, they said that it would be taken care of. However, 30 days later, when my credit shows a late payment, this is not case. No one is able to give me a straight answer to get this taken off.Review fromAngel P

1 starI would give a 0 most crypto mortgage company they steal equity and steal insurance checks. They have sat on insurance check for months and now the company that did the work is suing us because of Midland.Review fromJeffrey H

1 starThey deserve a 1/2 star only. They are not up to standards like other Mortgage companies. They cannot take debit cards, they won't work with you on a financial hardship. The only thing want is for you to pay them and if not they look forward to foreclosing on your house. I have had many problems with them since the bought my mortgage from Amerihome Mortgage company. They want to take the money out of your account and then take it out late. If they would take debit cards (same as cash) I could pay them the same day I call them. They always try to make it your fault and never want to help you out. They just want to increase your payments. I wish they would sell my Mortgage to someone else so I don't have to deal with them any longer.Review fromMichelle B

1 starSTAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! This company does not deserve any stars!!!! My original loan was sold to this company which I had no idea about until I called my original loan company to make a payment. I called this company to make a payment and they told me that they had to run my credit again to figure my payments again (first red flag). I got behind on my payments because I was off work d/t major surgery. I tried to make partial payments several times while off work and they refused them. I could not make any payments online once I fell behind, the option was off the site. They filed foreclosure on me. I applied 3 times for different loan modifications to get caught up (took forever). One modification they wanted to increase my payments to $900 a month, change my loan interest amount and add 15 Years onto my loan (red flag). Finally they accepted a repayment plan which consist of taking all the payments I was behind and the next 6 months, adding them all together and divide by 6 (so I was told). I busted my tail to make $1500.00 month payments and then at the end of the 6 months my payments would go back down to the original amount of $533. I made the last of the 6 months payments on 1/31 for 2/2024. Today 2/6/2024 I get a call from them telling me I am behind 2 months and need to make a repayment plan with them. I talk to 4 different people getting all different stories as to why their system was showing I was still behind. Their website is showing I owe $2400.00 now (payment for 2/24 already made) Then they tell me that my payments are now $1178.00 a month because my escrow went up because my insurance went up $3300 and taxes went up $20. I have said from the get go this company is CROOKED. When you call them you can't get a straight answer and you have to talk to several different people to get anything out of them. All they want to do is file foreclosure on property and tell lies!!! No one knows what they are doing there. Incompetent people!!!!Review fromKevin C

1 starMy house was financed through Loan Depot January of 2020. Our business was shut down the following month due to Covid. The following months we fell behind on our payments. We reached out to Loan Depot about trying to get approved for a forbearance on our loan. We were told that if we could get our payments current they would approve us. We managed to get caught up with payments in June of 2020. Loan Depot made good on their promise. We were approved for a forbearance on our loan the following month. September of 2020 we received a letter from Midland Mortgage that they have bought out our Loan. In the letter we were told the percentage of the loan went up from **** to **** and our new loan payment was close to $80 higher a month. All this happened without any any consent from me. However in the same letter we were told that since it was a new loan they started us with a clean slate. Everything was good at the time. September 2022 We finally went back to work and we were able to start making our mortgage payments on time. Our business never fully recovered since Covid. Many of our accounts were lost and we started struggling to make ends meet. We continued to stay on top of our finances barely. October of 2023. My wife and I agreed to sell the house and use the equity to by a smaller place with cash. I soon received a letter saying I could apply for assistance for up to 80K for partial claim on the house. I wondered why I would received such a letter.. I called Midland Mortgage and they told me I received the letter to apply for help on my Partial Claim on the loan. I asked what Partial Claim. They put me on hold and advised me I had a Partial claim on the house for over 63k.. Now this coming week. 1-15-23. I am to figure out how to resolve this issue about a 63k lien on the house.. After reading comment here and the consumer reports. It sounds like this is corrupt scam by Midland..Review fromBrenda D

1 starThis company is not trustworthy on any agreement; Misrepresentation all the time; they show like they are helping you but they dont; we were offered the defer payment option for COVID relief without reporting to credit agencies program that no actual terms will changed but putting that year at the end of the loan BUT now they are forcing us to take a loan modification which its double of our current interest rate and for one year of COVID 19 deferred payments they are adding 15 more years !! How is that possible to be an assistance to your customers? No Empathy for client who took their word from supervisors, representatives and never know what they are doing while helping consumers who have a mortgage with them. They do not have a defer option (for even 30 days), will not accept partial payment online (must pay another way and will reflect a "credit" on the account, not a partial payment, instead they would like to qualify you for a "repayment plan" and allow your account to go into default instead. Why would a company allow your account to go delinquent in full" before offering a solution. They are the WORST company to deal with. No one seems to know what they're doing. The management is unprofessional. They threatened to put my house up for foreclosure if I dont take the assistance program with the absurd terms they sent. The WORST mortgage lender ever! Misrepresentation all the time! DO NOT TAKE ANY HELP THEY OFFERED ITS A LIE TO FORECLOSE YOUR HOME. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!! Please take my review from a real customer.Review fromBarbara C

1 starI was previously with another company, my loan got transferred to Midland Mortgage with little notice to me. It took them over a month to bill me and showed I was months behind on my payment. I went into an assistance program. I was in the program for 2 months before they dropped me out of it with NO notice. They never even tried contacting me. I tried for over a week to reach someone there to schedule a payment since they wont let you do it online. I could never get through. The calls were constantly disconnected before connecting me to anyone. I tried from my cell phone and my work phone. Now they are recommending my house for foreclosure and I have to reapply for the assistance program because I couldnt make a payment due to their garbage system! They dont call you when youre past due, they dont let you make online payments, and you cant get through when you call them. They are literally setting their mortgagee up to lose their home!Review fromSue M

1 starMIdland Mortgage is a disaster of mortgage company. ********, unethical and beyond the imagination difficult to enjoy paying on your home. Stressful transaction, conversations with no positive outcome for the home onwner. How does this happen in America? We love our homes. We take care of paying for them and this company makes not attempt to ensure a solid relationship with its lenders. My mortgage was sold from Chase during a severe medical hardship during a mortgage assistance application. Midland mortgage made it unbearable to apply and offered a plan that would take me further into debt. Unreasonable beyond a doubt. Never willing to work with you. Defensive return calls defending there right to take more escrow after providing all the paperwork to ensure my taxes would be far less going forward... Now my escrow in thousands over and my property taxes were sent 9/1 and still claim they have not received it... Antiquated procedures for such large amounts of the lenders cash lock in . I cannot even answer the calls to defend this action. They are up there with the ***** Fargo criminals. I wish our country had a backbone for these banks abusing our money. Does BBB help? not sure . If feels right to share such unacceptable behavior and policies with the community that cares about their homes and finances. ***** on Midland Mortgage for being so ignorant to facts regarding your taxes... If I could would refinance and leave this HORRIBLE BANK .. Im ready ! Rates drop and exit stage right out here
