I was looking at my past statements and noticed that a $5 paper statement fee was taken out of my *********** account on 3/31/22. However, I never opted into paper statements, so I am unsure of why I received this fee. I never received any paper statements before or after this fee was charged, and was never charged this fee during any other month before or after I have held this account. I am unsure of why my account was randomly switched to paper statements for a month, but since I did not authorize this change on my account, I would like to request to have this fee waived on my account at this time. I have attached a copy of the affected statement to this complaint for your reference.

Today I went to VioBank.com and the main page has Cornerstone Money Market Account 4.01% APY. Then I checked my account and it was 1.09% APY. Basically VioBank (MidFirst Bank) created a new money market account with a good interest rate 4.01% APY and left all existing customers with the only plan offered when I joined - Online Savings Account and gave them bad rates. Somehow I missed this and only caught the error when I was looking for my 1099-INT form. Both accounts have the exact same rules - FDIC insured, 6 free withdrawals per month, and $100 to open.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  They did not offer any resolution and they consider the matter closed.  It seems like a *SCAM* someone came up with at the bank to save money.  They have legacy customers with Vio Online Savings Account at 1%APY and a *NEW* Cornerstone Money Market Account customers at 4%APY.  How many customers and how much money is left in the Original Online Savings Account at 1%?  I'm sure someone at the company got a big bonus for this idea.  I asked the Supervisor who she would recommend the 1% Online Savings Account for and what is the benefit of that plan?  She accidentally laughed.  You can close my complaint it isn't going anywhere.  However, it would be interesting for someone to investigate how much customer $$$$ is left at 1%APY when they should in my opinion be getting 4%APY.  They are willing to change accounts to the *NEW* Cornerstone Money Market Account at 4%APY if they call in and ask, but why does every customer have to call and ask?  Legacy accounts should of automatically been moved to the *NEW* plan.
      Sincerely,

      *********************

I opened an account in October 2022 with Vio Bank and wish I had read the complaints on the Better Business Bureau first. Every single complaint on here is exactly what I am currently experiencing. They locked me out of my account for no reason and was told that my account has been closed for "business reasons" without any further explanation. They are rude and very unprofessional when I call to inquire about when I am going to receive back MY money. I will be filing a complaint with the FDIC. I am surprised that Vio Bank is still insured by the FDIC with the amount of complaints they have, which all seem to be the same complaint...Legalized thievery?

I attempted to open an online savings account with vio bank, they took all my personal information including my social security number and drivers license number. I was not notified of any problems with my application but my account was not opened, when I tried to contact them an inquire what was the issue I was not given a reason and when I asked if a supervisor or someone in management could explain to me more I was given excuse after excuse that a supervisor was busy or would call me back, this went on for two weeks with numerous attempts a day to contact vio. I am just shocked that an alleged online bank supposedly a reputable business with a good rating dont know how they got that?? can take your personal information then just ignore you and dont even answer your concerns for weeks, how do I know my information is even secure? Absolutely ridiculous and so unprofessional I dont even care to be a client would never trust vio bank with my money but I am very concerned that my personal information has been or could be compromised.

I opened a savings account with vio 2 years ago. Theres not a lot of money in it and when I tried logging in it gave me a message that my account needed verified. I called the number gave them my name, social, phone number, DOB all information they required. They then asked for the exact date I opened the account. I dont know that. It was May 2020. 2 years ago. My email deletes emails once they are 2 years old. She kept saying just look at that email. I dont have that email anymore. They asked another question about the bank that funded it the first time. I gave that info and then she said she cant give me access to my account without the exact opening date. Thats ridiculous. Ive never heard that from a bank before. She refused to help me get access. All I want is access to my account so I can now move it to a legitimate institution
