By the files uploaded, I have not signed a final contract and yet they are trying to get me to pay $250 for a restocking fee for materials they have said they already ordered. They said if I choose not to use them to put on my new roof then I'll have to pay the $250 or leave a favorable review on ****** and they will forego the $250. This, in my opinion, is blackmail and unethical since all they have done is give me the costs of the roof and harassed me and my insurance company to get it done. In the last few months, my Mother died and ive had numerous health problems and they continued to harass me several times a week to get the contract and get started. I told them that I still had to get the money and get approval from my brothers to do it and that I'm still in mourning. To write them a favorable review for work that they haven't done would mislead their future customers. I don't believe I am liable for the $250 since as you can see there is no signed final contract. I did sign an initial contract for them to do the estimate and crunch the numbers but they told me that it was only an initial contract and so I was not contractually obligated to choose them to do my roof. I'd like them to drop the $250 restocking fee and leave me alone without writing them a favorable ****** review that they haven't earned. As I write this, they called gain and said the $250 is for office work done for me not materials. $250 is excessive for two estimates (they messed up the math on the first one) and harassing phone calls and they would've been paid for said paperwork anyway even though she says she's commission only. She said I owe it since I didn't cancel the initial contract within 3 days as per item #**. I didn't have an initial estimate within 3 days so why would I cancel? It is just a scam to get money no matter what. I asked her what to write since they haven't done anything and this office work was mostly the harassment. I may write it but they won't like it.

Let me start out by saying I did not contact them, THEY CONTACTED ME! The knocked on my door on a Saturday. The individual I spoke with was extremely nice. He told me he was helping a family down the street get a new roof at no cost to them and noticed my roof had some damage. He asked if it would be ok to take a look at the roof and we could call and speak with the insurance company. He told me multiple times there would be no cost to me to do this. He was your typical smooth talking salesman. He got the insurance on the phone and basically told them my house should be condemned there was so much damage to my roof and extra structure. Anything to get an extra few bucks out of the insurance company. He tells me not to worry that if the insurance company declines the damage or under estimates the damage they will take care of everything for me. The insurance adjuster comes out and takes a look at it and says there is only about $3000 in damage so I will receive $1500. I know that's not enough to put a new roof on the house as I had just done so about 6 years prior. They call me. I am out of town for work and ask that they discuss it with the insurance company. I get a call from the insurance company saying that the case is closed and that is all I will get from them. Where is Superior Exterior? I don't know. I have been unable to speak with them about the situation as I have been working. I send several emails and yet they respond by trying to call me. Then today I get a bill from them for 250$. What is it for you ask? "Administration fee" for helping me get my insurance claim filed? They told me they were doing it completely free. They continue to contact me via their "collections department" They are very rude and demand I pay them 250$ or they will *** me. I have asked that they give me SIGNED documentation showing that I agreed to pay the 250$ but they have failed to do so.
