I used to have a subscription to happily (formally datebox). I cancelled my subscription years ago. However, I was randomly charged 7.99 on 12/05/2024. I looked online and I am not the only one that this happened to. I tried to find someone to contact about this, but everything has been taken offline.Initial Complaint

I ordered a subscription box from this service after doing a lower-cost trial. I received the first few boxes and then cancelled. My subscription was auto renewed without my consent. When I tried to contact them about the renewal there was no way to contact them except for an email address, which I emailed several times and never received a reply from. I removed my card from the account, canceled my subscription, and figured I'd just write it off as a loss. And then they charged me again, even though I did not authorize the second charge, and it was a bogus charge for a "digital datebox" which I did not order or access in any way. When I tried to log in again to see how I can completely cancel any association with them, their whole site has disappeared.Initial Complaint

I purchased a trial subscription in April 2024. I have not purchased recurring subscriptions. Only a trial was charged and received. I did not hear from this company until they charged me $7.99. The charge came as $7.99 with DBX DIGITAL. I have not purchased anything or agree to any deduction. After not having my subscription show up for several months, I googled the company, attempting to login, and found no website for them. I then checked my bank account to make sure I was no longer being charged, and I have a charge of $7.99 from 12/5/24. There was no service that amounted to this charge. Also, I only got two of the 6 boxes that I paid for in my subscription before this company apparently went out of business without notifying customers.Initial Complaint

12/5/2024 $7.99 was taken from my account without my permission. I made a few purchases from Datebox 2017/2018 timeframe but have not done business with them since. I had ordered from this company back in 2019 then canceled it after receiving a few boxes, and suddenly on 12/5/2024 I got a charge on my card for $7.99. I cancelled ALL subscriptions with this company and haven't ordered from them in years, so not sure why they suddenty charged my card out of the blue (especially when it looks like the company is no longer in business anymore!).Initial Complaint

On 12/5/24 I noticed a $7.99 charge from this company on my bank statement for a purchase I did not authorize. I purchased a box from this company one time in 2020 and have had no further purchases or interactions since then until this charge popped up from out of nowhere last week. 12/5/2024 7.99 was taken from my account without permission. I made a purchase probably 6-7 years ago and have not done business with them since then all of a sudden received this charge. No services with provided.
