Took vehicle in for diagnostic service, gave back with steering column broken, battery and electric shorted out, and transmission not working at all. I dropped off a vehicle that they drove for 15 miles and couldn't replicate problem, was given back vehicle in towing condition. I have tried to work with the regional manager, ***, but although he spoke with me, in the end they did not offer a fair solution in any way. In aftermath, they are now completely lying to insurance company and towing company as to damage to the vehicle. DO NOT USE. Criminal negligence.

Do not go to this location because they cannot help you with your transmission. On 3 June 24, my wife brought her 2018 ***** Pilot EX-L in for a transmission flush. They told her it would be 3-5 business days after the warranty company approved it. The warranty company approved services on 6 June 24 which was a Thursday. *********************************** jacks the vehicle up on Monday the 10th then waits for a driver from the ************** location to pickup the transmission and take it back so they can repair it there. The transmission arrived at the *********** location the morning of 12 June 24.My wife stopped by the ************ location on the 12th to check the status of the vehicle. They told her itd be 3-5 business days from today (the 12th). A simple service is now taking 2 weeks to complete and this is why the warranty company didnt want to pay the high labor cost. AAMCO didnt call on Thursday evening to let us know the work was approved by the warranty company, the didnt call Friday to let us know it might take longer, and they had no intentions of letting us know today that our transmission was not with them. The production controller didnt understand why Im upset and got an attitude then told me I could pickup my transmission-less vehicle today when I put my foot down. If hed called and updated us instead of us calling and having to stop by then we wouldnt have had a problem. I told my wife this is some bull over the phone and he chimes in and says thats not professional as if his deceitfulness is. Its the summer time and the kids have activities and he cant understand that. Its 23 June 2024 and I still do not have my vehicle back.Do not take your vehicle to AAMCO ************. They cant help you. This is about setting expectations and communication. Just drive it up to *********** or to another business where they are transparent and understanding.

So the place is getting better( or so I thought). they tried to charge me 275 dollars to put in a couple nuts and bolts and thats where the rattling is coming from. Charged me a for an hr and a half of labor but got done in 5 minutes. Still charged me 150 for nothing being fixed and something they ****** up last time I was there so I should not have gotten charged at all. Last time I ever go to this place. Great people dont get me wrong but they cant even quote you like *** could. Not to mention they just laugh at everyones hate mail they get. Do your research on this place before you go and spend your hard earned money on a company to s**** more things up. Now I have to take my car to my buddys shop to see what they did wrong with it. I went to school with *********************** he was deceptive there as well. I want my money back because I do not trust them to do anything else after the 2nd time not being fixed

If I could give negative 5 stars, I would. I took my vehicle in on November 20th, 2, and 1/2 weeks later, they told me I needed my catalytic converter, replaced. Almost another week, the catalytic converter is on, but somehow, now my motor is locked up. I asked them how, but they don't know, I get, "We don't know, that's never happened before." I asked the guy to find a new motor to put in it, he calls me back 15 minutes later and says he found one but it would be way cheaper for them to go in and just find the problem and fix it. I agree to it. Finally, after all the back and forth, on January 11th, they say it's done. Almost $7200.00. I ended up having to take it back because the check engine light came on, and none of the lights, locks, anything on the inside worked. A few days later, I get it back, and it's in worse shape than when we dropped it off in November. I paid $7200 for a vehicle I can not drive. I will never use Aamco again, and I will share this review everywhere to warn others. They completely ruined my vehicle, and now I'm out $7200.00 and a vehicle.

**************, ** location - Absolute worst auto shop we have ever dealt with. Due to our warranty and location of where we bought our vehicles Aamco is the shop for some reason the dealer chooses to use. So, 2x now we have had our Pathfinder in to be repaired. The first time took 3 weeks (we were told a week) and the right now it has currently been in their shop for a few days shy of a month and we were just informed they purchased a faulty motor because "they took the person selling it at their word" and it is no good, after putting it in our vehicle. Mind you, motors can be tested outside the vehicle first to assure they function properly. The person my husband spoke with didn't seem to know this and went as far as to tell my husband to come do it himself then as of course my husband is beyond livid with their horrible service. So, now its going to be at least another week putting us at well over a month with just one vehicle. If you search motors and taking them out and putting them in you will find it can be done even under the worst of circumstances in a few days so again over a month now with one vehicle and two people with full time jobs and different hours! My distain for this company cannot be made clear enough, there are not enough words or way to describe how unprofessional, lazy, and downright dumb they seem to be! I would advise everyone reading this or anyone I know to stay as far away from any Aamco location as possible.

My car is still at AAMCO its been about a month. It was there for a month last year as well. They are stalling on 1 part. Said the part was ordered. I asked for the name of the place they ordered it from and ******* said that no one placed an order for it. I went in to get a status update ****** said the part is being delivered but didnt have any tracking info. I asked him to track it down then he said the order was cancelled. He ordered the exact same part from the same place I ordered from in which he told me it was too big. His came in and it was the same thing too big.

I left my 2011 fusion at aamco on Rt 38 in cherry hill on a Tuesday and when I went to pick the car up on Friday not sure what happened but the work was not done and there was a guy named Lee there who would not give me my car, he treated me like I was stealing, I gave him the tag number on the key, he said he couldn’t find me in the system even though I just had close to $6,000 worth of work done to my transmission there, he keep looking everywhere for the key like he was trying to stall me, he brought out a key with the wrong number and then an infinity key for my ford fusion? I texted the mechanics who’s number I had because he said he would assist me with a ride if I needed when my car was dropped off so he told me where the key was I told Lee who then accused me of being a personal friend of Marks the mechanic who I just met when I had my car was serviced I told Lee what was in the car, my registration and insurance with my name and I showed my license which he would see when he opened the car, Lee kept hitting the trunk button instead of the car door what a dope I had my spare key to the car I opened the door and the tag in the car matched the key tag on the key and he still insisted that wasn’t enough he wanted me to go into the building to give him more information about me and sign papers he wanted to know where I was taking the car I told him anywhere I wanted to get it fixed it’s my car. Bottom line was the gentlemen named Mark who was an awesome mechanic left the business and my car was not serviced Lee was clueless, I felt like he was harassing me and made me feel very uncomfortable I got my key and left I am never going back there again.

Harry did a great job at Waukegan location. He got my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee in and out and worked with third party Ensure. Very satisfied with the performance. I would highly recommend this location. Ron ** 05/11/23.
