In late December I paid $4000 for a membership in Professional Travel Center. Two days later I cancelled the transaction as was told that a refund was being processed. Everytime I contact Professional Travel Center I am told that the refund "is being processed." Apparently the only person to talk to is someone named ********* who is variously head of accounting and of administration....and who is never available by phone when I call and has no ability to return phone messages.I have tried asking for a date when the check was cut to determine if it was lost in the mail, and if it has been cashed in case it was intercepted by some other person---with no result. Appaarently only ******* can answer that question and she is not talking.

    Business Response

    Dear Sir/ Madam,

We would like to address concerns raised in the recent Better Business Bureau complaint regarding the refund in question.

Following the initial request for a refund, our team processed the refund within 10 business days as per our standard procedure. Regrettably, the initial refund was returned to us, prompting us to resend the refund via registered mail return receipt requested. We are pleased to confirm that the item was successfully delivered and signed for in early April.

Upon conducting further investigation today, we have confirmed that the client did indeed receive the refund check.

We extend our gratitude to the Better Business Bureau for facilitating communication and assisting in the successful resolution of this consumer matter.
Should there be any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We value customer feedback and are committed to ensuring a positive experience for all our clients.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
    Warm regards,

    Professional Travel Center.

    Customer Answer

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

This matter has been resolved, with your help.  I would like to address the response from Professional Travel Center.

Their message to you states that "Following the initial request for a refund, our team processed the refund within 10 business days as per our standard procedure."  I must assume they mean the BBB request for a refund, since they have been telling me since December 28 of 2023 that the "refund is being processed".  That was the message I got EVERY WEEK throughout January, *****************************************************ogsc="rgb(0, 0, 0)" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: proxima-nova, Verdana, sans-serif;">
I dare say If I had not contacted you I would still be hearing that the "check is being processed".

I truly do not understand their statement that the check was mailed but returned to them.

I also want you to know that a major part of their sales pitch was the wonderful rating the have with the BBB..."only four complaints"

I was happy to hear that you removed your approval of them at the beginning of this year.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************

Ordered a bedroom set (bed, dresser, and 2 nightstands) from Crate & Barrell through PTC in Sept 2021. After multiple delivery attempts the only thing we kept was the bed. Dresser and night stands were damaged with each delivery and refused. Crate & Barrell has refunded PTC back in July and PTC has failed to refund me my $2,017.23. I have reached out to PTC several times via email and phone requesting my money to no avail. Can you please assist with getting this refund processed back via ACH asap.
