Ac**unt number: ******* On 7/3/ 2024 at ***** am i wen tto see my PCP. FOllowing the appointemnt i paid my 25 dollar **pay . my reference for the prepaymnet was ****** -on or about July 10, i received a bill from saint francis for ***** - there was no explanation. I can only assume it was for the ***** ** pay I had previously paid. Saint francis Billing did not proved me a explanation for the the charge. I asked using MY CHART. A person my the name of *****, asked for the exact date - which i found odd since it was ST Francis billing me. My **mplaint 1. Exact reason for bill - i do not know if it for an office visit or what. 2. at the time of service - i was told i had no bill - but since i knew my ** pay i paid - I SHOULD be able to pay my **pay at time of service and not wait on a billing service. 3. ***** stated " they **uld check when i disputed the charge since it was what i belived to be a case of double billing - I belive my prepay is in the system and ***** **uld see this and **uld have resolved the issue .Business Response

I have had constant billing issues with Saint Francis:*Providers not set up in system to accept CoPay Payments *CoPay Payments not applied to claims *CoPay payments applied to past claims and billed for actual CoPay *Billing statements not providing payment application *Refused to provide payment applications to claims *Refused to meet with me during a scheduled time to review billing as a whole *Will not allow me to pay claims reviewed that I agree with to pay followed up by taking my payment and not providing me where it as applied therefore rebilling me for claims I paid. This has been repeated since 2021. Doctors are great - Billing is horrendous. Saint Francis denies the patient the ability and right to review their claims/coding/insurance payments. You are not allowed to review or pay specific claims for payment. Saint Francis is continually applys any payments (CoPays included) to accounts or balances at their discretion. Never should a CoPay go to another claim other then the *** it was payed towards. I included documentation of some of my attempts to address discrepancies in my account or arrange meetings. Calls are either unanswered, disregarded and they send repeat documentation that does not answer the questions. Saint Francis has refused to schedule with me and I am tired of the back and forth, collections threats, and incompetence of their billing department because they cannot bother to have a discussion with their patient regarding their bills. I know they have rutted out their billing department twice in the past ten years due to similar issues but nothing gets better. They continue to take advantage of the patient losing heart in the battle because of their medical conditions and rely on the patient to give up their rights to knowledge of their billing. As noted in my documentation, I want a live person to schedule with me to review the statements to pay accordingly and I want my COPAYS to correctly be applied.Business Response

I paid $83 out of pocket for my Saint Francis visit with ******************************* in the **** office on 2/8/24. I saved screen recording proof that this was the agreed upon balance PRIOR to my visit, as is the standard form that is posted for patient signature before every visit within the portal app. I saved this proof before my visit after seeing other reviews of Saint Francis pulling a bait-and-switch unethical and illegal business practice to take advantage of sickly populace. I paid my full agreed-upon balance at the time of the appointment, and received confirmation from the office I had NO OTHER FEES due. Later, sure enough Saint Francis decided to add a bill claiming I never paid my full balance for my visit, and changed the price AFTER my appointment was complete and paid for. I contacted the office and left them a voicemail that I already saved legal proof I paid the agreed price and if they decide to *** I'll be showing it to the judge and filing a counter suit. Preying on an impoverished population of hard working Americans is both illegal and disgusting. Please share this complaint with the business so they can correct their corrupt and likely intentional error before this escalates further.Business Response

On 2/14/23 my 2 month old daughter fell off of my bed while I was running to grab a shirt from the next room. Her dad was in the bathroom at the time of her fall. We noticed her head started to swell and rushed her to the saint Francis ER. When we got there the radiologist read the X-rays wrong and said that she had “bilateral fractures” on her head. This wrong X-ray reading lead to a long ridiculous process involving CPS. The detective, hospital staff, and CPS treated me and her dad terribly and accused him of a crime he didn’t and would never do all because the radiologist read the X-ray wrong!! The next day the Child abuse specialty doctor came in and told us she only had one fracture and not two so we were put through that whole process with CPS for nothing.Before the doctor realized the radiologist read the X-rays wrong Her father wasn’t even allowed to be alone with her because they were trying to accuse him of a crime that he didn’t commit!! The whole situation was traumatizing and we never got an apology or anything from saint Francis.Business Response

I had a colonoscopy done on 3/31 at the Saint Francis/Warren Clinic Endoscopy clinic where my tooth was chipped. I have left several messages for the doctor and office manager and have not heard back - no one has been helpful in knowing how to file a complaint or grievance with Saint Francis so unfortunately this is my only option it feels like. I dropped off the receipt of the estimate to have my tooth fixed and it is $110.10 with my dental insurance.Business Response

Dr *********** was my Dr for many years, he retired and Dr ********* took his clients, due to some family issues i was not able to make 2 appointments to meet Dr, i called to reschedule first appt and cancel second one for a later date. Once a year i have my wellness check done with Dr to save on my monthly premiums, today i called the office directly and the nurse i spoke to was very rude, said i had to go find another doctor because i didn't cancel in time, giving me no options at all. Due to this i took a day off work to find a new doctor, my wellness form has to be turned in by Sept 15th, if i am not able my monthly premium will increase by $400 x month. I understand policies but there was no reason to be rude and tell me to go find another doctor when i have been a patient there for over 8 years. This is not the first time ive had unacceptable treatment from this office but did not voice it until now.Business Response
