I went to buy a fishing license for this current year and was instead sold one from last year which is not valid. I have been fined, lost time from work and insulted by the ******************* management. They basically threw me out of the store and ridiculed me throughout my explanation of why I was there.Business Response

I am writing on behalf of Bi-Mart Corporation in response to the complaint filed by Mr. **** *****, referenced as Complaint ID ********. ******** alleges that Bi-Mart sold him an invalid fishing license, specifically one from a prior year.
At Bi-Mart, we take our commitment to customer service seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address this matter. Upon review of Mr.Imlers concerns, it is important to clarify the applicable licensing guidelines in the state of **********. Fishing licenses are valid from the date of purchase through March 30th of the next year (regardless of purchase date), with renewals available beginning in February for the next licensing cycle. Bi-Marts internal records do not indicate any instance of an expired fishing license being sold.
In an effort to address this matter directly, Bi-Mart has attempted to contact Mr. ***** before and after we were made aware of the BBB complaint to gather additional details and reach a resolution. Unfortunately, these efforts have been unsuccessful. Should ******** wish to discuss his concerns further, I encourage him to contact me directly at ******************************, so we can work collaboratively toward a resolution.

I purchased fishing lures that were of a brand that I normally purchase and use. However the ones that I purchased from this bimart were of way lesser quality than I am used to. So I decided to return them. However when I came in to return them, I was told that I was ridiculous and essentially dumb for trying to return them. Because they couldn't be resold, and nothing was wrong with them in their opinion. It was manager ****** and csm manager ******* of the bimart in corvallis, ******. They made fun of me, were rude, demeaning, took pictures of myself and of the packaging, etc. It was an appalling experience. In the return policy it states I can return the items for not being satisfied. So I was trying to do so. These folk in management positions should be demoted or fired for the way they treated me. And I'm someone that WAS a regular customer to this location. Never again!Business Response

I'm in receipt of your letter dated 5/18/2024 regarding complaint ID: ********, concerning our customer, Mr. ************************ and our store in *********, ******. I am sorry to hear about ******************** experience at the store.
After an investigation into the situation mentioned by ****************, we have found that while the return wasn't processed the day he brought the products into our Philomath location, as we were unable to resell the products, a refund was issued to ******************** wife at our Corvallis store location.

This issue was actually resolved via a personal phone call from the *** of bimart, whom apologized profusely for the employees unprofessional behavior. I do want to note however that bi-marts return policy states nothing about the items being returned needing to be able to be resold. It's about satisfaction. Even the *** told me this. The return policy is clearly posted on the website.

I went in to bi mart in mollala ****** to purchase presto logs and their price was **** for a 6 pack but I didnt purchase at that time.I did go back the next day to purchase but because they were calling for snow they jacked the price up to **** and I feel thats taking advantage of a negative situation ,bad buisiness practices and I will never shop there again periodBusiness Response

I'm in receipt of your letter dated 1/23/2024 in regards to complaint ID: ******** in regards to our customer ******************* and our store Store in *******. I'm sorry to hear about ********** experience at the store.
After a investigation into the situation mentioned by ********** it appears that there was some confusion as the price for the presto logs is $8.99.The price that he saw of $6.99 was for kindling. These were not the same products. ****, the district manager tried to reach out to ********** and left him a voicemail and as of this response we haven't heard back from ********** or has he been in the store. We are happy to do a price adjustment for ********** for the presto logs. He will just need to ask for *** the store manager and he will be able to assist.

Bi-Mart ****** had deceptive, misleading signage regarding prices and items. (Photos of Receipt Attached: Details to follow: **************** 10 **** ***** 001; October 23, 2022 11:09 AM.) // Packaged dates 40 oz. were in a center display with a lower marked price (iirc: "**** for 32 oz."). Store insisted on charging $9.99, even though the package (and other 40 oz. packages) was in the same signed center display with the lower-price sign. It may have been incompetence, but the manager of that area, ****, was not anywhere to be found on site for a long wait on my part. I called the corporate office with this complaint. They did not solve it, but passed on my message. Another manager called me back at a very inconvenient, dangerous time (driving, traffic, hazards) and left me a voice message. The issue remained unsolved. I called back at the number that manager left with me, and left more voicemails. The issue remained unsolved, unanswered, and uncorrected. Even if it is incompetence on the part of the employees stocking the display with wrong sizes of package, for a misleading, deceptive display, the store failed either to charge the lower price, or to correct the misleading incompetence. Or to call me back and have a two-way discussion correcting either the higher charge I paid, or the scarcity of managers, or the shelving incompetence.Business Response

This situation was handled internally. We had the district manager of the ****** store reach out to the customer and apologize for the mishandling of this situation on all fronts. The district manager informed the customer that the staff has been re-coached on how to handle these situations correctly. A $15 gift card was offered when the customer comes in to shop next. The customer indicated satisfaction with this resolution.
