• Advertising Review:

  On July 30, 2024, and August 16, 2024, Better Business Bureau contact Oregon Asphalt LLC regarding advertising claims found on their website, https://oregonasphaltpavingeugene.com/. Specifically, BBB asked Oregon Asphalt LLC to substantiate or modify the following claims:

   

  • “bringing 10 plus years of experience” 
  • “The asphalt we work with comes from recycled materials”
  • “all our work comes backed by a warranty” 
  • “all of our work is guaranteed” 

   

  BBB’s first basic principle of the code of advertising is that “the primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any object claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.”

   

  BBB’s code of advertising states that a business should only advertise a satisfaction guarantee if the business refunds the full price of the product or service at the consumer’s request.

   

  BBB’s code of advertising also states that “advertisers must not claim that a product or package contains recycled content unless it is composed of materials that have been recovered or otherwise diverted from the waste stream, either during the manufacturing process or after consumer use.”
