*****************************, CCB# ******, came by to give us an estimate for repairing/rebuilding our existing patio cover and said he would let us know the costs. On February 8,2024, I responded to his request to send him $750.00, via "Square" "gosq, com OR" charged on our CITI ***** He said he would like the $750.00 to purchase the supplies/hardware he would need to complete the job. He wanted them on hand so he could begin the work, with supplies already on hand. We did not see him again. We have copies of the text conversations. The first month he offered excuses as to why he had been unable to get started or come. The second month (March) he simply did not reply to our questions. I have asked CITI **** to return the money. We have had to hire another person. CITI **** says they cannot/will not help. I don't know where else to turn. I bear no malice towards *******...but this is just the same as stealing our money....not right!

I hired Open Skies Construction and Remodel to build a wooden picket fence to the front and south side of my house. The contract was accepted and signed on May 26, May, 2022 for an amount of $ ***** with $ ***** dollars due upon acceptance of of the proposal. A $***** personal check was mailed to open skies construction on 27 May, 2022 in good faith. The contract stated the build was to begin in mid July and stated the job would take less than 2 wks. To complete the fence. ********************* told me personally and in the contract that there would be 1 primer coat and two coats of paint put onto the fence. The start of construction did not begin in mid July and after two months of excuses and delays the fence build began on 30 Aug, 2022.The building of the fence was quickly done. The gates were installed and the primer coat was applied a partial coat of white seemed to be applied. On 02 Sep. ********************* sent his employees home and sent me an email saying he had ran out of paint and would pick paint the next morning and return to wrap up in the morning he also emailed an invoice for the remainder of the fence construction and again stated he would complete the project the next day.Believing hes words that he would return in paid the second invoice for the amount of $ ***** by personal check. He said hed given me a 10% discount for delays. ********************* told me would return to finish painting and also adjust a gate that would not close properly.I have since sent two more emails with no response from ********************* asking him to return and finish the job, I have not received any response. On Aug 25 I sent a registered letter with a pre complaint notice as required by ************* to attempt to have Open Skies construction respond. The certified letter was not accepted and sent back return to sender on Sept 15, 2022.
