1 starProduct didn't work.large fees charged for return ( 1 week) old refrigerator.458.oo charge to a senior citizen on ****************** I can't afford my medications this month.Beaware.I have bought a lot of appliances from them,never a problem until there is one.Refridgerator doors don't close correctly,it resets the freezer and fridge to what temptress it wants,and driips water on my floor.Review fromEric S

1 starNot friendly with those who have disabilities. My sister needed a new stove, ordered one and had it delivered. Standard " better know as below STANDARD " delivered it.What hapeend next is totally maybe the worst thing I've seen. The stove wqs delivered with the wrong plug. So now she has it for over a week with no way to cook anything that includes the first holiday. She will have to go through the next holiday still with mo way to cook anything. 1 starWorst consumer service I have ever experienced.Bought built-in GE microwave in 2020. They sold me a five year warranty for ******. I assumed warranty meant that if there was a problem with the microwave within that period they would repair or replace in a timely manner. ********* stopped working in May. I reported to Standard and their warranty company. Technician came three times over a period of a month or so, but could not fix. Time passed. I bought a counter-top microwave to use during the interim. In August I was told Standard would replace the built In microwave with same model or give me credit toward another. Sales person said I should take same type to insure a fit. He said I had to pay $243.99 be cause new model cost more than old one, insurance only covered $70 and I had to pay installation fee. This seemed ridiculous to me, but I paid.They said they had unit and were ready to install whenever I liked in October. Installation scheduled and converted for October 9, but they needed to change to October 10. They still didn't have some schedule for October 19. Same story. Schedule for November 5. Technician came to take out old microwave, but didn't have new one. Finally installed November. They give you a schedule date, but not time until early morning of delivery day. So many days I had to keep clear in hopes of getting the microwave. Rescheduled dental and medical appointments.I have never heard of it taking nearly six months to satisfy warranty agreenent. The "co-pay" of $243.99 also caught me off guard. So did need to pay $150 counter-top microwave just to have something to use. Adding insult to injury was being put on hold when calling customer service and listening to endless repetition of their claim to offer "best products, best service, best people." 1 starCan I leave a negative star rating??? The current service issue is what prompted me to write this review. NOTE: As you can see below, it takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. SERVICE: I wish I would have looked here before going to Standard. Purchased the extended warranty for our fridge with the discussion (with the sales **** that I wanted local service (i.e. Standard service!). Now find out that they hire a 3rd party, who hires a 4th party, who hires someone else! NO HELP from Standard at all to get this resolved. Going on 3 days without fridge and now being told it will be another week before someone comes out! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I am so upset I don't even know what to say. STORE: (This didn't make me leave a bad review - but add on the service and I'm leaving a review.) We were looking to purchase the remaining kitchen appliances and visited 3 Standard Stores - on their big sales day - money in hand! Salesman argued with us at the first one - actually argued with us! 2nd one was better, but he didn't really want to look up prices for us. 3rd store completely ignored us. The vendor *** was the only one that even talked to us. We ended up going to ***** and they were amazing - every time we went in!I'll never go to Standard again.Review fromMarc B

1 starSo angry at the lack of communication, customer service, and follow-up from ********************. We had an issue with our delivery and install. Despite my calls, emails, and letters, the business was very slow in communicating and responding.. But there was another issue that is more frustrating. We were charged a certain amount for the delivery and install, but later I found out those charges were reduced and I should have received a refund for the difference. After multiple phone calls and emails, the response has been lackluster at best. It is as if they just think the issue will pass. Repeatedly, I have asked for the contact information of the *** and no one will give it to me.Shame on Standard Appliance for their poor follow-up and communication.Review fromAlyx W.

1 starIn 2020 we purchased a new stove. The crew that cut the counter tops did a shoddy job and it took four trips to finish the install and cover their damage. In 2024, we purchased an electric stove and overhead microwave. The delivery men were rude and acted like they didn't want to be here. They pulled the old stove out and ripped the plug from the wall. The stove did not fit flush against the wall because of the original cut job. They advised me to call customer service and left. I paid $340 to not only fix the plug, but finish cutting the counter in a straight line so the stove would be flush. On the promised delivery day a week after the stove, the microwave was supposed to be delivered and installed. After the company telling me it was on the truck, and wasn't on the truck, the original salesman called. He said he could guarantee a future delivery date, two weeks out. I cancelled the order and demanded a refund. I gave them two chances and they failed on both. The salesmen just want to sell the appliance, and are not concerned how/if it will fit. I can barely give them one star. DO NOT buy here. They've obviously lost what customer service means.Review fromR.D. B

2 starsI bought a Maytag Commercial Washer and Dryer from Standard in Spring 2021. The dryer motor burned out and is under warranty from Maytag. Standard will not fix the item, even with me offering to pay for few extra miles. Standard delivered the Washer and dryer here, as well as a freezer. It took 8 months to get the freezer. They were happy to take the money then for the sales, but lack follow up care for their customers. Spend your money elsewhere.Review fromCecilia S.

1 starWe tried to purchase two washers and driers, from *********** and Appliance in August of 2023. We had salesman, ****** S******* come out and measure and direct us to correct appliances. In due course he had 3 delivered. None of them ran/operated! 1-he ordered an electric one instead of gas-which he observed when selecting-had us pay Reliable for changing gas to electric+cleaning fee;2-the next two he sent a repairman for out of the box items. ****** said they were broken because of our bad electricity and water supply-all updated within 15 years! He had a plumber and electrician come out to tell us-all systems are in perfect working order. **** told repairman the machine was faulty and to return. *********** and Appliance will not take any responsibility, for their behavior of costing us $400.+ to prove to them-their products are defective.We would like our bill to be paid because we did absolutely nothing wrong. It is now November and we have cancelled our order, no machines and no refund.Review fromKristena L

1 starI purchased a microwave 3 years ago, with a 5 year extended warranty. They never sent me a copy of it and, when I needed to use it, I learned you need to go through their ******* insurance company. But, no, the insurance company said to go through Standard. I requested cancellation and a refund of $81. Sat on hold twice for over 30 minutes. Four weeks later, the only human working with me is customer service, and she apologized because of no communications from management, and cancellation/refund needing at least 4 employees' approval. I have filed a consumer complaint with the government, and recommend that you avoid this company, and in no case purchase an extended warranty. Standard is bad news.Review fromChris D

1 starStandard TV and Appliance should be ashamed at the way they are doing business. We ordered an oven/micro combo from them almost a year ago and still don't have it. The best part is "we don't exactly know where it is and when you will get it." Well how about you reach out to the local sales *********** he doesn't like to talk to customers." Are you kidding me? What a joke and what a racket that they have no problem taking my money but have trouble getting me the product I order. If you can't get the product then why do you sell it? This is the most absurd business I have ever seen. It is an OVEN, not a custom home. There is no reason someone should have to wait for over a year for an OVEN!!!
