    On October 30, 2024, and November 14, 2024, Better Business Bureau contacted ZE Technology concerning advertising claims found on its website, https://zesmartwatches.com/. Specifically, BBB asked ZE Technology to substantiate or modify the following claims:

    • As Seen On: Wired, Digital Journal, Sports, Benzinga
    • “ZE” Smartwatches have received endorsements from top software platforms and companies.”
    • “Grab yours now before prices increase soon.”
    • “Price increase very soon.”
    • “This is limited time offer with limited quantity.”
    • “30 Day Money-Back Guarantee”
    • “Manufacture Warranty”
    • “All items are backed by 45-day Buyer Protection.”
    • “The American Heart Association agrees that smartwatch functions could be beneficial, even lifesaving!”
    • “Detect respiratory or cardiovascular issues, boost energy and cognitive function.”
    • “Get more REM sleep”

     

    Advertisements should be truthful, sincere offers to sell. Advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request.  All advertising that may mislead or deceive consumers should be avoided. 

     

    Advertising which uses testimonials or endorsements is likely to mislead or confuse if it is not genuine and does not represent the current opinion of the endorser or if the advertising makes broad claims as to the endorsements or approval by indefinitely large or vague groups, for example “doctors of America.”

     

    The unqualified term “sale” may be used only if there is a significant reduction from the usual price and the sale is for a limited period of time. If the sale exceeds 30 days, advertisers should be prepared to substantiate that the sale is a valid price reduction and has not become their regular price.

     

    Advertisers should only use “money back guarantee” or similar representations in advertising if the seller or manufacturer refunds the full purchase price of the product or service at the consumer’s request.
