I received a sweatshirt as a gift from a friend for last Christmas. Unfortunately it didnt fit, so I returned the sweatshirt for store credit. This month, I placed an order for two jackets, using the $35.76 from the store credit and paying the rest of $36.28 on my credit card. When the jackets arrived, I ended up not liking them it in person and submitted a return request. After subtracting the $6 fee to ship it back, my refund was ~$40. I asked customer service if they wouldnt mind just refunding the amount, including the ~$3.72 to my credit card as a courtesy since there is nothing to buy with a gift card for $3.72. Columbia has refused to do so, claiming they dont have the ability. Having worked for another sportswear company for almost 4 years, this is something we would do periodically in these situations, and it is 100% possible. They just wont do it. For a name brand with such expensive products I would expect much better customer service. I wouldnt recommend shopping here.Business Response

Yesterday, I made an order at Columbia sport ware online store,After I received confirmation screen, but I did not receive email confirmation, I printed out the screen, I found email address live.com to love.com, Shipment city I live in ******* ** changed to B something, different city, zip code 9 was 0 to be shown, My online or any system information has been often touched by somebody, many people try to abuse me over ten years at work place *******, even hospital information etc. even Coverdcalifornia sometime it happened 2014-2015, 2022 recently. Aim of those data changes have been seen over ten years, and damaged my financial life by today, they aimed to do so.Since many people are involved in aiming me, targeting me, often happened.Right now, no way to avoid these all activities.Since 2018 I got loan even payment app was touched by bad people they do anyway to abuse me.Like cult abusers it persist so far.Anyway, Columbia gives strange reply they cant modify to right address neither cancel on the phone or chat, they will ship Monday to wrong address but charging my debit card.Is ******* and other countries ever do this kind of abuse for individual people but what is this about?I worry about if I get refund from this strange Columbia response, or why are they shipping to wrong address the payment card would not belong to the address coming Monday? Who touched online to show wrong address while making order, some say You made a mistake to type typo. No, over ten years, somebody change my data often, I know so. I have been asking for several months and spoken to multiple people with the firm about deleting my account as I continue to get email from them. They have told me on many occasions my account was deleted and I would not receive anymore email but it continues to happen, this is harassment and I want it stopped!Business Response

I purchased to pairs of hiking pants, on 06/12/22, in 2 different sizes. Both pairs of pants were too large and I was approved to return them. I dropped them off at the *** Store on 06/24/22. They received the items back on 07/05/22. I still have not received my refund. Today is 08/08/22. I have contacted them several times just to be told that they have received the items back and that they are in the warehouse and due to them being behind, it could take 14 more business days. The last time I contacted them, I was told by Jose_S on 07/06/22, that they were going to start an investigation into what was taking so long. I still have not heard anything. I wish that I could say that Columbia is the one who resolved the issue. However, I had to open a case with Paypal in order for them to review everything. Paypal sent me an email at the end of the review period telling me that after they reviewed my case, they sided with me. Then I received a response from Columbia who said that they refunded my money. I asked who actually followed through and Columbia tried to play it off as if they did. I have a feeling that once they received notification from Paypal that they were siding with me, Columbia decided to try and save face. Also, I could not get any sort of an answer from Columbia, other than they would lauch an investigation, until I filed the claim with the BBB. A shady company at best.

I would like to file a complaint. I have contacted this company by live text chat and they were not helpful or forward my case to someone else. On Aug 6 2022 I went on my iPad and tired to place a order for ***** and when I elect PayPal it told me I could not use the weekly payment plan and there was no button says place order so I exit the screen out and tired one more time I got the same message so I close out the screen and checked my emails I got two charges pending for $*****. When I contacted the rep in text chat they only seeing my orders I have placed on my account. Someone from the company should login the company PayPal and cancel these truncations. the person told me in the chat to contact Paypal but they going to tell me to contact the company. I initially sent my item in for repair because of defective snap buttons. Upon first use after the initial repair it had the same issue, a snap button malfunctioned. I submitted a BBB complaint to get the shipping covered by the company in which the refused. I was told if I sent the item in and provided proof of shipment that it could be refunded which I have attempted through the warranty department. They said they have no known correspondence about this refund offer but it was discussed through BBB. Im wanting to be refunded for shipping since this has been an ongoing issue with this item needing fixing for the same quality issue.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The shipping refund Im requesting doesnt have to do with receiving a replacement or the original back after the warranty process, it is being requested because this is the second time Ive had to send my item in for the same problem after the first use after the item was returned to me as repairedI had requested that all snap buttons be checked and tightened during my last warranty repair and yet the issue is still the same, snap button detached from jacket after first use after I was told they had been properly fixed
I dont feel I should have had to have been responsible for the cost of sending it back in since its the same problem and wasnt adequately fixed the first time

I am rejecting this response because: I find it to be irresponsible on part of the company to not cover shipping expenses for me to have sent my jacket in for the same repair that they claimed to have initially repaired. I was told that the repairs were performed adequately and that all snap buttons were appropriately tightened yet this was the issue in which I had to send it back in for. I have already purchased another jacket to replace this one so am no longer needing to proceed with this complaint however, I do not find the reply of the company to be satisfactory or professional considering the circumstances.

I purchased sandals online on 6/26/2022. I received an email shipping confirmation on 7/12/2022 with no tracking number. I gave it time and called Columbia on 7/22/2022 after the sandals still didn't arrive. They confirmed there was an issue with the order status, but couldn't offer any solutions. They couldn't cancel, re-ship or refund, even though they know I didn't receive my order. I was told I'd get contacted by someone at some point. They couldn't provide any ETA on resolution. I contacted them again today, 7/29/22, to be given the same response with no ETA and no resolution. This is unacceptable. Im very upset. ******* my customer service rep, agreed that I was overcharged $60 on my credit card, sent me an email that he would refund $60 , but never did. Ive tried to follow up with several emails but no one will help me. That is such poor customer service. It is so disappointing. Beware when you are checking out from the website, your total **** says one amount but your credit card says something totally different. It adds back on the amount you thought you saved from the sale Columbia was showing on their website. For me, I bought 2 pair of ski pants that had a sale price of $90 each for the July 4th sale. The pants were originally $120 each before the July 4th sale. My confirmation page showed the pants at $90 each but my credit was charged at the higher price. Columbia is refusing to give me the $60 back. They say I can return the items now but we took off the tags after ****** told me I was going to get the $60 refund and my kids like the ski pants. I ordered two jackets on-line. The jacket didn't fit so I returned both of them. I only got a refund for one of them. I have contacted the company many times. They keep saying they are waiting on the warehouse to do an investigation as to why they only show receiving one jacket.
