My experience with Ray Klein and Associates, a debt collection agency, their actions left me frustrated and questioning their integrity.Once I received the debt letter, I promptly called Ray Klein and Associates. I explained that I had canceled checks as proof of payment and requested validation of the debt. Instead of complying, they took me to small claims court.I sent a certified letter reiterating my evidence and asking them to withdraw the claim. Unfortunately, I had to pay court fees to prove my innocence.Ray Klein and Associates tried to dismiss the case immediately. I had to write to the judge, who granted them 14 days to respond.Shockingly, Ray Klein and Associates ignored the judges order. Their behavior raises serious concerns.I hope sharing my experience sheds light on the practices of Ray Klein and Associates. Consumers deserve fair treatment, and I urge others to be cautious when dealing with Ray Klein an Associates.

They kept adding on fees I went to call to pay and they added on a $25 extra fee for a certified letter that I never signed

These guys are garbage scammers. I have paid my bill and they continue to come after me over and over. I Have an EXCELLENT credit score and I've been working on fixing all my debts for years and they keep popping up out of the woodwork when I have already paid them. They are scammers. Very poor business

zero stars. I will admit to the one mistake I made, which was putting a power bill for my son for his first place, in my name. My son passed away, and we did our best to find and pay any outstanding bills that he had. This one was missed and ended up in Professional Credit Services hands. I am in the wrong for having the bill in my name, I get it, but what happened next is not ok. I am working hard to get my credit score up, and have made every payment and then some, diligently, for 5+ years. A few months ago, a bill shows up in collections on my report. I reached out to the agency for a copy of the original bill, they didn't have it. IT took me about 5 emails and a month to get a copy of the original bill. I reached out to Pacific Credit again, and asked if they could negotiate down some of the ****** that had been added on to the ****** bill. They asked for time to review, where by the balance went up twice in the month they were reviewing, I reached out two more times before they finally got back to me and said "TPU wouldn't negotiate any reduction". I called TPU, they said the debt had been sold off - they no longer had control over it, so the reduction isn't up to TPU as they werent the ones who added to it.. When I called back and spoke to 2 agents at Pacific, they both treated me like I was some degenerate, who had willfully ignoring the bills, when it was ME that contacted them, and me who was doing all the legwork to get this taken care of and my credit is the one taking a hit, they took a month just to tell me they couldn't do anything for me. IF that is the case then why didn't they say that in the first place - before more fees were added. What exactly is a $410 negligence fee? Agent couldnt tell me, just that I deserved whatever it was for not paying it on time. Mind you they never sent a bill once in 5 years. I found them. I reached out to them. Then they continued to add fees while they stalled for what reason? Their answer wasn't going to change.

This communication is from a debt collector.

Thank you for taking the time to share any concerns that you may have. Unfortunately, we are not able to locate an account based on the information provided in this review. We would welcome the opportunity to work with you, but, as a third party collection agency, we do not purchase the accounts that are sent to our office for collection. That typically means that our ability to agree to reductions or settlements is limited by the authority delegated to us by the creditors that we collect on behalf of. Even where we don't have authority to agree to a particular settlement, we are often able to work with individuals to find repayment options that fit within their budgets. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of further assistance.

      Sincerely,

      Professional Credit Service
