    The food is tasty. I haven't really looked at comparing it to regular meals. The salesperson essentially talked about preparing 3 meals a week for 3 people and that being $150 in groceries per week. $50/meal seems a bit high. If you purchase their freezer ($800 freezer for $4k with the warranty), you'll get 20% off your food so now $40/meal. That still seems expensive for an in-home meal, unless it is steak or some other high-cost meat. I'm not thrilled with the upsell on the freezer as I was told the food would not fit into the 16-cu.ft. one I had so needed the 21-cu.ft. I did not and the freezer was barely half full for the 6-month delivery. Complained a few times but was just reminded that I save 20% and have a full warranty on the freezer. No other conversations about making it right. Continuing to give the service a try for now, but at a lower amount and we'll see if I upgrade my rating later.

    We were going to buy some meat from them, but he wanted us to buy a 17 cu.freezer for $3400.00. We already have two freezers so we told him no. We looked online and the same size freezer was $700 or $800 dollars.. We told him we would buy the food but he said no we had to buy a freezer to get the food. So we told him we didn't want anything then. So long story short, they are trying to sell over priced freezers.

    Nothing that was promised has been delivered. We were told the meats were all pasture raised and that is false. They sold is on their "industrial freezer" for $4,000, saying it was stainless steel and would last generations along with a guarantee that if it did ever break or lose power, they would ***lace all the food that spoiled and ***air it at no cost. What we received instead was a typical white plastic freezer that we could have purchased from ********** for $1,000. After calling the sales manager that this is not what we were sold he blamed the sales *** and stated that this is the only freezer they sell. We then said we wanted to return it and cancel the contract on it but we were told that was impossible. This then made us question everything that was promised and after looking into what they sold us, it was mostly lies. The sales manager tried to "make it up to us" by selling us more food at an even bigger "discount" then tried to sell us on a 1 year plan and then even tried to sell us some pots and pans on another contract. He even kept saying "I really shouldn't be making this deal without contacting my boss". The worst kind of shady salesmen you can think of. To make matters worse, he stunk of vodka when he came to our house. When trying to deal with customer ********************** instead of the sales manager, they were useless, saying they couldn't help us with any of our "customer **********************" related issues. We are now stuck paying monthly towards the freezer they falsy sold us and wont let us return. If i could give 0 stars i would. This company is a scam, stay away.

    ************ that pressures people into buying with them. Saw them at a festival and signed up for their sales pitch. The salesman wouldnt give us time to decide and pressured us into signing up. We had a freezer already so didnt want to purchase theirs. They claimed we could then pick items from their prize book instead. We said we didnt really need any of those items but the salesman forced us to choose and it was not clearly explained we would be paying an insane price for those vs their freezer. Over $4,000 on those items once you pay their 20% interest rate for crappy items we couldve gotten for less than $200. Food was ok but not listing costs of items, claiming their premium package would allow for discounts in the future but costs just continued to be higher even ordering less, and forcing us to take items we didnt want under the guise of calling them prizes is shady. Dont force people into purchases outside of food if they dont want it and it wouldnt seem so shady. Glad we spent close to $6,000 for one shipment of food. Stay away from this company.

    Terrible company. Food is over priced and they sell you a freezer you do not need. I was sold 6 months worth of food. Well that was a joke. The amount that came won't last 3 months let alone 6 months.

    I was unable to update a previous review of Passanante’s Home Food Service, reviewing due to a choice of lenders that ended up being not easy to work with, as promised by the sales person that visited our home. Beth, at Passanante’s, called in a very timely manner and resolved the issue in a very fair and just way. Not only contacting Home Acceptance Corp in order to assure that the issue was corrected, but also ensuring that going forward things were handled in a much more satisfactory method. I will continue to do my research and refuse to do business with Home Acceptance Corp on future endeavors, however, Passanante’s has proven to be a top notch company with their customer service! The food is awesome and having the ability to have farm to table, which is important to us, is amazing! We look forward to a long relationship with this company, as long as we can get farm to table! The experience with the food company is amazing, the financing not so much, but we are looking forward to the rectification moving forward!
