On 3/22/2022 Xactus ran a hard inquiry and I have no clue of who they are. I am not in the market to purchase anything. I did not apply for a mortgage nor did I give anyone permission to run my credit. I signed nothing , I submitted no applications and I want this removed now. This is absolutely ridiculous, I have no knowledge of who this company is at all. Remove this inquiry at once. My credit is affected and they need to repair this immediately.Business Response

I wish this could be a resolve but it's not, the point is that I never applied for a mortgage. Simple...I spoke to no one authorizing my credit to be pulled by anyone. This comes a few months after placing
an Experian fraud alert I was told would be on all 3 of my credit profiles. I should have received a call asking for my credit to be ran. I received no such call. Please removed this from my credit report.

On January 7, 2022, they did an inquiry on my husband credit report We have not applied for a Mortage for them to do an inquiry on his report and by doing so lower his score. This is unacceptable and would like them to remove it as soon as possible. We do not know this company.Business Response

I received a random phone call from an Austin, TX phone number asking me if they could provide me with information about saving money on my mortgage. The man on the phone asked me if I planned on staying in my home for the next two years and verified my address. There was no indication of this business asking my permission to run my credit report several times nor did they disclose that they would be doing so. I’ve tried contacting the company several times to get this matter resolved but I haven’t gotten any response. While looking at my credit report I noticed a new hard inquiry that made my score drop 5 points and it was from a company named Xactus which I previously had no dealings with and have no idea how they received my information or why they would run my credit report. According to ****** ******** says the inquiry was made between Dec 2022-Feb 2023. I researched the company and have found multiple people have this same complaint. I am worried my private information is a risk for fraud. I am rejecting this response because: I called to ask questions about the company and what I may expect. **** was a fast talker and didn't explain that he was going to do a hard pull on my credit nor did he explained to me what he was doing. I didn't give him permission to pull my credit, he just assumed I wanted to work with him and did the opposite. I was asking questions, not telling him I wanted to use the company. I feel I was taken advantage of because I am a black woman. This isn't right and I want this taken off my credit immediately.
