1 starTheir ACH payment site was down for IOS operators, but there was no warning through the weekend. Saturday, went to the site on my phone like every quarter, logged in, got to payment screen, and it spun for minutes. Finally logged out, waited and checked email for a day, to see if payment confirmation would come through, and nothing, so tried again on Sunday, nothing same as day before. Monday, did it from my computer instead, finally saw a popup had been added about IOS error, and to check charges before making another payment. So did, no show on their site, still showed balance due, and no email confirmations either. Processed a payment finally, and got conf. email. Next day, hit me for all 3x tries. Called to ask about refund, as it was over $500 extra that was paid, only to be told takes 10 days to clear, and then 4-6 weeks to get a check to me. So I am supposed to wait 2 months, to get my money back, to that they got in secs. I had to call my bank, and have they cancel two of the three charges, and will have to wait for up to 10 days to see if they can get me a refund. AQUA tried to blame me, and tell me what I didn't do, thanks ****, the "supervisor" you have horrible customer service, I wish I could pick a water provider and be done with AQUA..... "do you want us to keep the money towards a future balance", sure make interest on my money for the next 6+ months, you are crazy!!! So much for a company that cares about their customers!Review fromAllyson S

1 starI'd give zero stars if allowed. This company is a complete joke. We have had water main breaks and boil water advisories 4 times since they took over very recently. So tired of buying bottled water and using paper plates & plastic utensils. How about reimbursement for that AQUA?????They jacked my bill up $40 and none of this has ever happened in the 16 years I've lived here. My water bill was consistently 42 dollars. Now it's 75. ******** horrible company!!!!!!Review fromMisty T

1 starTurned off my water after making improvements to my basement! In an attempt to get a new water meter installed after the -18 degree weather we had and it froze. The guy was rude, and refused to help. Definitely filing a lawsuit.Review fromTeagen C

1 starThis company does NOT provide the quality service they claim to on their website! I want to be reimbursed for water bills Ive paid & only got to use half the time. In a perfect world Id be reimbursed for the *********** I have to buy on my own, because the water quality is that questionable! This company takes advantage of its customers because its a MONOPOLY! I would dig my own well but its going to coast double because there is so much rock to drill through. Why is my water bill $79 when Ive been gone for a ********** only worked for *****? There is so much sediment that when I replace my faucets I have to redo the plumbing because its that locked up with sediment. Ill have to re-plum my entire house even if I purchase a water softener and filter! Why should I have to buy a whole home ***************** if AQUA is complying to code & quality costumer care Id take city water if I could! Also Im NEVER appropriately notified of a main break or BOIL NOTICE, probably because they would have to call me every 2 ************ too much evidence for a class action. Ive never had this dry of skin in my life, Im constantly having to use lotion & oil because of the chemicals they have to use. The basic GE water filter I have (proper for size for my home mind you) I have to change the filter every 2-5 days depending on how much laundry I do. They are supposed to last for 3 MONTHS! When I change the filter its RED & I know Ill have to change it because I see it turn yellow first, these filters arent cheap. Especially when you consider I have to change them more often then required because of the despicable water quality provided by this God forsaken, greedy, incompetent, non-communicative, rude, **** poor, dare I say water utility company. Water is a HUMAN RIGHT, the irony that I have to pay for it is enough, it should work & not hurt me if use it. There are way to many neglected, effected costumers something needs to be done, END AQUA ****Review fromBethany A

1 starA horrible company that randomly hikes up their prices, I am paying 2-3x my water bill for wastewater every single month. Recently my neighborhood any many others have petitioned to appeal the recent increase and since that has happened we have been double billed. Upon trying to get my money back, they refuse to refund the money without sending a paper check that would **** *-8 weeks to get to me. Worst customer service ever. I would highly suggest not buying or renting a home that is under Aqua America as its only waste water option.Review fromWilliam J

1 starWorst company to deal with.I called to have water turned on 10-10-2024. They scheduled tech to go turn on water on 10-14-2024 between 8-12pm. No tech at 11:40am. So called company and after long wait they said it was scheduled for 10-16-2024 between 8-12am. Went back on 10-16-2024. **** showed up and said that customer service doesn't know what they are doing. He stated that he was on vacation on 10-14-2024. Tech checked meter and turned on the water. Said the pressure was good and no leaks. He checked the meter and said it was working fine.I got a email on 11-03-2024 with a bill of $418.86. Called back on 11-04-2024 @ 3:56pm to ask about this bill when I dont live at property and have not used more than 10 gallons of water. The lady stated that there must be something wrong with meter since there was a reading of 0 for about a year. Told her tech said meter was fine and water has been shut off for over a year since house was a foreclosure. She scheduled a tech to go check it on 11-05-2024 between 2-4pm. Tech was no show. So called aqua and she said he would be there but was running late. So i Waited there till 5:30pm and left. Today I got text at 9:57am that tech would be there in 10min. Called aqua again and the woman said tech was there and already left. She asked to reschedule, I told her I would be there today between 12-5pm. She said she could not scheduled today. So told her meter was in crawl space and was unlocked so tech could check meter. I asked about the large bill and she said that I was being billed for 359 days. Told her I only had water turned on on 10-16-2024. So why was bill so much? She said she would send it to billing department to correct it and it would take 2 weeks. I just got a text saying work was comoleted. This company does not know what they are doing and would not recommend doing business with them.Review fromJosue C

1 starTerrible water company, ripping people off. They charge customer more than your consumption and usage. I live in ******** and my sewage water is way higher than my regular water bill. How do you explain this? Then, I went on vacation for 21 days and my sewage bill is at the same as the previous month whereas my regular water bill from a different company was significantly lower. Aqua in *********, ** is ripping people off and they're stealing people of their hard earned monies. Customers need to be aware of ********************** and their fraudulent conduct. I am contemplating about filing a lawsuit against this company for fraud.Review fromShea M

1 starOutrageous water costs and terrible service. We get a boil notice at least three times a month because of leaks in the main lines. They don't flush sewer ever and when we got a backup in our personal line, the plumber we hired said the clog was in the main sewer. Terrible terrible terrible! I wish I had a choice on who owned the water lines in my areaReview fromRalph L

1 starI was charged double for this month. My initial payment didn't display within my account, and ********************** sent me a reminder to pay my bill after I had already made the payment. Therefore, I made a second payment. Now I've been charged twice, and Aqua informs me that I can't receive a refund before the next bill is due.
