I'm reluctant to even give this company a 1-star rating. We hired this company in March, 2022 because of good reviews and a recommendation from friends of ours that had had renovations done by this company. We wanted 3 rooms renovated; a completely new kitchen, a completely new main bathroom upstairs, and a family room. The renovations were started in May, 2022. ***********************, owner of the company, had come in March and looked at what we wanted done; wrote up quotes for each room and we paid allotments as things were being done. We initially paid him $23,200 to start the work. **** showed up unannounced at 6:30am one morning and wanted to know what we had been asking his dad, who was doing the work, to do. **** was strung out and we could tell he was either on drugs or off drugs. Our renovations went downhill from then on. The agreement with **** when we signed a contract was that we would pay the allotments and then when the work was finished, he'd come and go through everything with us and re-imburse us if we had overpaid. That never happened. I asked him for an itemized account of everything and he said he didn't itemize. I kept my own account of how much things cost and we are owed around $800. I contacted his dad and he never called me back. We have many issues with his dad's work and things that were not finished properly. My 82 year old husband has had to complete most of it but there's an unfinished area in the kitchen that we will have to hire someone else to do it. I would never recommend **** nor his dad to do any work.
