  SCAMMERS! I had a cleaning done on January 22nd 2025, and was told that I would be reimbursed for the $220 cleaning. I was also told that I needed fillings that would cost $700, and if I were to wait, the procedure would end up costing $8000 for a more invasive procedure. Needless to say, I never got my money back, and I never heard of this from **, but instead from my dentist. ** continued to lie to me, saying that they never said I would get my money back. I was then instructed to write a letter of appeal, which I did, and was later denied my money again and essentially told pack sand well see you in court. I called again, and was told that they never looked at my appeal, even though they said they did. When I called then out on this, they told me they would update me with something in the mail. 4 weeks later I get the same pack sand, well see you in court. So now I am out almost $1000 that my insurance SHOULD have covered, I have been lied to and taken advantage of, and I dont have the time or money to take UC to court, as I am a full time student and work 2 jobs. DO NOT USE UNITED CONCORDIA! THEY ARE CROOKS WHO ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY AND NOT AT ALL ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS WELL BEING.

  This is the worst dental insurance company! They denied a claim because my son had a cleaning on Feb. 1, 2024, July 1, 2024 and Jan. 13, 2025. Even though it was only 2 cleanings per calendar year, they said there were more than 2 in a 12 month period. They offered zero understanding of the fact the dentist happened to schedule him 2 weeks earlier. I also found out that my son's pediatric dentist is dropping out of their preferred provider network and there are no other pediatric dentists that accept them. United Concordia Dental really has to examine why nobody accepts their insurance and why 11 other people took the time to file a complaint on BBB. One would hope that people would try to do the right thing and be compassionate instead of trying to squeeze a few extra bucks from a working family struggling in today's economy.

  **** lies lies. All you get from these people. I dont know how they stay in business so long. They obviously ?? are scamming people out of their money! The website says 30 day money back guarantee what a bunch of false promises. Run look else where!! They dont cancel your policy so they dont have to pay. They hang up on you, NEVER execute the policy, true the use old member numbers say theyre under staffed. FYI I had the for policy in ******** only to be contacted shortly after saying they no longer do CO. Then why would you offer and allow the public to buy a policy? Deceitfully company. RUN AWAY dont waste your money!!

  This company has awful customer service. They hang up on you after holding on the phone for a long time. They abruptly end their chat during the conversation if you contact them that route. Claims take months to process. When they do finally process they pay only a fraction of what services costs. For example $30 for an adult teeth cleaning. I will be cancelling my policy as soon as I am able to.

  As an active member of the U.S. Air Force and having a spouse that uses this dental service, I would refuse this company if I was a civilian. NEVER follows up with what they say theyre going to do. Extremely lengthy times (months) with processing claims. Going on 12 months with processing one claim.

  United Concordia deliberately commits insurance fraud to avoid paying claims. I have dental coverage through a Medicare Advantage Plan, Highmark. My dentist has all my insurance information and a copy of my card. When they file a claim submitted with that information and my insurance member ID number, Concordia changes the ID number and substitutes a very old number from years ago when I had insurance through the govt. insurance marketplace with a different branch of Highmark. Last week I stood over the clerk at the dentists office while she talked to Concordia on the phone and was instructed by them to once again submit my bills with the old incorrect number. Then, Concordia sends a denial letter stating that I have no insurance, that the insurance coverage was cancelled and therefore the bills will not be paid. This has been going on for 2 years now, and through multiple phone calls between Concordia and me, Concordia and Highmark, and Concordia and my dentist's office Concordia has been informed repeatedly about the problem they are deliberately creating. However, they continue to do this. I supposedly have 50% coverage of my dental costs, and to date I have paid $457 of a $600 bill out of pocket. United Concordia is a scam.

  My family and I have used UCC Tricare for nearly ten years (Navy reserves, ANG) with some frustrations, but tolerable for the low premium. However, their reimbursement rates and coverage is beyond poor. The few dentists that still accepted them in my area (major metro Philly) are now dropping them. No point in paying a premium when there is no network. My wife just paid $900 out of pocket for routine dental work/xrays and UCC reimbursed $194 out of network. This company is taking advantage of servicemembers by linking to Tricare. I love Tricare, but they need to dump the UCC contract. Servicemembers are paying UCC for service they are not receiving. Eligible veterans should consider MetLife instead. Goodbye United Concordia. I hope the gov sues you for fraud/waste/abuse.

  Horrendous. They state they have endodontic services but every referral I've been given has stated they no longer accept this insurance. I have been living with this pain since March and cannot find anyone who accepts this insurance. They also will not cover the cost for out of network providers even though they have none in network.

  UCD is the WORST dental insurance PERIOD. More and more dentists are NOT accepting them as participating insurance plans. My own dentist just terminated service with them due to declining payment for so many services. This is a 25 year professional dentist who is very trusted and GREAT at what he does. Sadly, it has left the consumer (me) paying for all my dental care. They declined payment for a crown I NEEDED. I pray my employer drops them and picks a new provider. To find a dentist who accepts this insurance is insane! The closest one to me is 32 miles away. Not going to travel that far for a dentist. Nope. Please, BBB, check into this company and shut them down.
