We used CMIT Solutions of Central PA for our business IT and Internet security for nearly 9 years. Over time, they became less accessible for problems and concerns. They also made acquisition of new computers difficult to even outrageous, requiring us to buy from them at literally a 200% markup on over-the-counter computers. Their ability to 'remote' in changed to almost never so that they would come and charge for onsite. When we asked for a copy of our contract, we were told it had been shredded because it had been so long. We decided to look for another provider, and they (really "he", there is an owner/operator and a receptionist) held our firewall password hostage, saying he could not tell us from his office because it might have changed and could be any one of 9 passwords. We would have to have him come to the office at the contracted price/per hour for him to try the various passwords. We did not ever have access to this passwords and he is the only person who could change it. Our new provider was astounded at the behavior. Former employees predicted this part of their end of service procedure. We are unable to give any positive reference for hiring this company except that they seem to be the only game in town.
