I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Acura of Abington, and I feel compelled to share my overwhelmingly negative encounter with others. I went to the dealership on 12/5/23 and selected a certified MDX. I also paid an advance on it with my Credit Card. The Sales Agent (Charlie Blunt) asked me to come pick up on Sat 12/9. As suggested, I applied for acura finance on 12/7 and also added this Car to my auto insurance. On 12/9, I reached there with my wife and the process started. My finance application got approved but I was still kept waiting. After 2 hours of wait, the Sales Chip Zawoiski came and told me they have to check the car again and some systems were down due to which they are not able to assign me as the owner. Very confusing reason. Charlie gave me another reason. I was told that they will fix the issue and come back on Monday and get the car. I was upset but understood that sometimes things can go wrong. Come Monday, I tried calling Charlie (on his direct cell phone), to my surprise he never took my call. I called the dealership at least 10 times that day but could not speak with Charlie. I somehow was able to get in touch with Andy (GM) and he promised to call me back with status by EOD, Monday. No response. Same thing all day Tuesday. Finally, Tuesday evening Charlie told me that the dealership won't honor my purchase and they want to increase the price of the Car. OMG, I cannot explain how I felt. This is very shameful and unprofessional on part of Acura of Abington. I did not have a car so I had to rent the Car and am still searching for another car. This has put me behind financially and emotionally. Please do not go to this dealership. I will also reach out to Acura Corporate and put up my complaint. I am also reaching out to some lawyers to see if they have a Civil liability. If anyone has any experience please share.
